Moon-stead voices gather in measured longing,
Shaping thought to linger in lyric stillness;
Fourteen lines become a lantern for meaning~
      Light over silence.

Premium Member CURLING SMOKE

the following poem was written as part of an online poetry class assignment--to respond to the above image..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whispers curl like smoke,
lips brushing ears with poison~
a truth, bent and blurred.
The tongue's blade leaves no wound,
yet the heart bleeds in silence.
Premium Member FRACTURED CATHEDRAL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Turn the kaleidoscope’s brass cylinder~
watch the glass teeth chew daylight
into stained-glass sermons.

A priest of shattered color
preaches through the prism’s throat:
every fracture is a door.

You tilt it again~
suddenly the universe
is a hallway of falling
jewels, a riot of saints
with no faces, only
their bright, dissolving robes.

Teenager’s first epiphany:
Learning that beauty
is just rearrangement~
that the eyes themselves
are hungry
kaleidoscopes.

Angels Above

Angels Above be with me
keep me far from harm's way.
Angels Above above be with me
throughout every moment of the day.
Guide me through my troubles
and help me do my best.
I think now it's time for me to take a rest.
For all my fears and problems
Shall melt away like snow.
Help me to acknowledge all the things I know.
Angels Above be with me
Thats all I really want.
Angels above be with me
Be with me in my mind and heart.

I wrote this poem for an English class assignment I had in the 7th grade. At the time I didn't think it was very good at all until my teacher asked to submit it to a poem contest. Unfortunately, I didn't win anything, I don't even think it was ever published even. But later in life when it surfaced again in memory, I realized it was actually a Holy Spirit inspired work of art! Or maybe rather I should say a Holy Spirit inspired prayer!!!

Premium Member If My Heart Could Talk--

If my heart could talk
 it would say thank you Lord God
 if my heart could cough
 I would purged up all my sins
 if I will let my heart talk
 beating flow constantly
 Reviving me, I will let my heart talk and praise my God always
 it just say hallelujah
if my heart could talk

Premium Member If I Had- - -

If I had? Like at my finger tips
If I had my soul in my hands, I’d be rich;
My spirit would rank high in dividends;
Wouldn’t need any rich men’s;
If I had a perfect wish, I’d have at my finger tips write songs for God
And sing in His holy choir
This may seem odd;
If I had a touch, I touch everyone
And only choice you’ll have left would be love
Love each and everyone (everybody)
Unconditionally
You would believe if I had…
A choice in your voice;
If I had, a mist of rain shower
If I had pretense over all humans humanity
Like God I would instill, free will free choice without sin nature If I had to power
To start it all over

Premium Member The Powers That Be Kryptonite- -

I AM A HERO
BLACK
Are you my kryptonite
To battle the powers that be
Discrimination, political
Spirituals warfare
Sadly my powers that be ruled over me
I AM A HERO
WHITE Are you my kryptonite
White supremacy, skinned heads
Wounded knees
Shaved cold stoned hearts
Sadly my powers that be ruled over me

I AM A HERO
NATIVE AMERICAN what tribe am I
And where am I, Are you my kryptonite
Rich men never poor again fighting rising TAXES
What a shame
This disclaimer
Black Panthers in the jungles
Just getting stronger;
Poverty clashes
Fake rented mustaches
Seasoned hick
Country kicks
All run away, no where to stay to each his own way
Just ain’t right to be individual heroes see none are right…
Sadly my powers that be ruled over me

HERO AM I
Lo, I be creeping in the night…
I KRYPTONITE

Premium Member O Fair Adrenaline

O’ fair Adrenaline
Oh, powerful you make me strong;
I can’t do wrong
Beautiful Adrenaline
You got my heart pumping
Got my breath in my chest
I’m just sweating
Biceps protruding bulging;
I stand next to you Adrenaline
Strong
Come
You secreted me
Hormonally
You’re stress,
You take my breath
Excited exertions do you brew
I belong to you
Beautiful Adrenaline
You got my heart pumping
Got my breath in my chest
I’m just sweating
Biceps protruding bulging;
I can’t do wrong

Oh, powerful you make me strong;
O’ fair Adrenaline

Premium Member Erasing Your Memory

If I could erase the memory, of hate I would
Upon all the humans, of this torn world;
This is expressly how I feel;
This would be a new world for me;
And why would I erase, this the presents of hatred;
Erasing hatred to dislike intensely or passionately;
Erase the feel extreme aversion
For extreme hostility toward;
~
Erase I detest: to hate the enemy;
Erase hate bigotry.
to be unwilling; dislike:
Erase unmoral strife
I hate to do it. why would I erase, this the presents of hatred;
WHY? Cause...
GOD IS LOVE, this I'd erase everything but this... I'll keep

GOD'S LOVE

Premium Member Lamented Loneliness Yet Not Alone

Lamented Loneliness yet Not Alone
I am more than a mere man
I dress in the spiritual clothes of Jesus
I need prayer and redeeming grace
I am related to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
I vacation right now in my mind/sprint heaven
My job is to let my light so shine
I desire to live forever long eternally in heaven with Father God and Jesus

Dirty am I, was I until Jesus Washed Me Clean
O’ but that I have been lost
Trapped incumbent to this storm
Tattered and bathed in my own sin
until Jesus came and washed me clean
Trapped incumbent to this storm
Dirty was I now I'm cleansed
until Jesus came and washed me clean
Dirty am I, was I
Dirty was I now I'm cleansed
Tattered and bathed in my own sin
Dirty am I, was I
O’ but that I have been lost
