Up To Speed

In a race on the savannah
fleet of foot is the cheetah
at up to 75 mph
no animal can beat her
and with a top speed of 50 mph
lion is the second fastest cat
tho' at
38 mph a leopard can't change its spots
the lion can do that
cubs are born with them and later lose
to become lion spots have-nots
an ostrich

Cheating Cheetah!

A cheetah’s caught cheating – bad lad
Is punished by Mum, THEN by Dad
He’d cribbed his homework
His dad went berserk
This cheater got caught, I’m so glad!

A cheating cheetah

A cheetah was caught on the prowl,
Enticing the females with growl.
He’d vanish by night,
To mate with delight~
A lifestyle that makes others howl.

Like The Cheetah

Like seed that overcomes the weeds,
I too want to produce and succeed.

I am weak.
But I am also strong.
I often reach my peak;
But sometimes, things go wrong;

Like the cheetah that runs fast;
But he cannot for long.
He lurks in the grass
And hunts alone.

Every meal is a challenge,
As nature seeks a balance.
Sometimes his prey
Fakes his death,
And later gets

Cheetahs are cheaters

They're as swift as a lightning bolt,
Just a stern gaze—gazelles revolt.
A fleeting shadow in the night,
All prey leap off in frantic fright.

Stalking prey is their known special skill,
A silent whisper, born to kill.
Seventy miles per hour they race,
Yet still they blaze with fiery pace.

Their claws, a nightmare to all flesh,
Though they prefer their meals served

Cheetah

Cheetah running fast
Her prey moves even faster
Out of luck today

checkered cheetah and chimpanzee

checkered cheetah Chancy chanted cheery chipper chant
Chimpanzee curiously concentrated ‘cause cheetah can’t.
cackling cadaver’s cadence cheered chimp’s cheery chance.
delivering devious devilish Dracula during Desmond’s dance.

Cheetah

I watch with keen sight,
I'm ready to fight,
My prey is my focus,
I rely on my agility.

I'm hungry and angry,
I run as fast as I can,
My prey can’t escape me,
It’s a futile flee.

My speed is uncommon,
My strength, I summon,
I'm at a close range,
I can sense its fear.

My prey is under me,
No where to run,
No escape under

It Is a Wrap

let me see that!
two cheetahs looked together into one cell phone
neither of them appear pleased
Selfie take twenty-two one announces 
it is so difficult working with persnickety cheetahs
says the assistant director 
It’s a wrap says the director, worried now because
one bares his teeth
and the other one begins a chase

You Had Better Stop

Mr. Cheetah’s wife was yelling “Give him a ticket! Give him a ticket!”
He outraced two pickup trucks and an antelope down in the thicket.
The highway patrolman was on the chase immediately, ready to write.
Hurry! electronic dashboard said. In a second he will be out of sight!

Being Chased By a Cheetah

Being chased by a cheetah wakes you up fast.
You wonder what you did wrong in your past.
I saw it leap from a tree, and ran off so fast.
But it got me of course, dream was awful,  I was aghast!

an agile sprinter,
it races to catch its prey...
with full throttle speed.
