"mush" means go to the sturdy huskies in the Yukon
mush made of cornmeal I fry up and slater syrup on
mush is great to use in a poem, a chameleon without a blush.
she rhymes with hush, shush, gush, lush, and definitely rush.
color in my kitchen makes me smile
I must change it up after a little while
blue on Monday, on Wednesday it is red
On Thursday it’s yellow as I toast my bread
My kitchen is a chameleon just like me.
On Saturday it is pink as I drink peach tea.
No one can wholly understand love
Love is never what one thinks it is
Love often comes as a snippy surprise
As a starry shock stemming from above.
Love is a hieroglyphic puzzle
Love has the power to muzzle
Shackle, overpower, direct and destroy
Love can be a very volatile or hazardous toy.
As soon as one is somewhat comfortable
Love shows her ugly fangs on the table
Love is not always a beautiful spring.
Love behave like a cunning chameleon
Love behaves like an uncommon phenomenon
No one can completely comprehend this thing.

Ode to Chameleon
You are many people in one
That disguises himself but still is himself
You hide beneath the tree because you know danger
Yet you are danger to others
Many skins in one but you portray only one
Green and naive but out comes red when you need to hunt
Out come blue when you need to chase
Out comes yellow or orange or brown when you go to hide
Why hide chameleon
You have to power to be someone else
Someone loud
Someone that shows their true colors
Someone that has a name for himself
You get to be someone
But there you are
Frightened by what's to come
Shaking from what's out there
Afraid you might lose it all, so you change
You change to better yourself
A new appearance, Same person
Same thinking, Same hunting
Same hiding, Same pain
But there you are
Many people in one
But still is himself
Judged
1.
They are all liars,
Talking about others
Behind their backs,
Thinking they are better.
2.
But everyone has
Their own faults.
They don’t see
The pain a person hides,
Just because they’re smiling.
3.
A day will come,
A day when they are judged
For all the things
They have done.
4.
All I feel for them is pity—
Pity for the words
They’ve spoken,
For the things
They’ve done.
5.
Everyone has
Their own flaws,
Yet they still judge
Others for theirs.
But I am no better
Than they are.
6.
I prefer words said to my face,
Rather than whispered behind my back.
They’re all hypocrites—
They smile at you,
Then stab you in the back.
They change colors
As quickly as a chameleon.
Though I struggle to admit it
I am such a chameleon.
Ever changing my mask,
coiffure and demure,
to be what you want,
or you think I am,
or what you think I want to be,
other than just me, what I think I am.
Alone in my room, I ask:
"Who's that stranger?"
staring back at me
in the mirror
or reflected in the pond
in the secret garden.
It's the looking-glass self I see,
Not what I truly am, in reality.
For in a vacuum I'd expire to nothing,
quelled by uncertainty and doubt,
consumed by the turmoil of
tossing about all sorts of
possibilities about
What I am,
What I appear to be,
What I could become
What I appear the be, to others,
if only they were there!
From out of the lacustrine, dense tract, green
Lining the silent mossy forlorn lake keen ,
Came out leaping and hopping,a fat frog ;
He landed and stopped on a reedy clog ,
As he saw the Chameleon on a stem frail ,
Gripping fast the rush with its prehensile tail ,
Croaking and flicking his tongue around,
To relish one and all the insects found ;
He made his own way on the rich moss,
And back and forth on the spread-over grass ;
His acrobatics envied and enraged the rival
Watching silently with rolling eyes since arrival .
The crestfallen had missed his chance thrice
And retracted to sit still like frozen ice -
Having lost to the place his colour and stance ;
Thrill and anxiety did the crux spell enchnce ;
A surly serpent suddenly sprang,as if to mock
Hissing , out of the crevice beneath a rock ;
It was a measured move -a prize catch ;
The victim was more a meal than a match ,
And went in neatly with a suppressed wail ;
The avenged lizard quirked and muttered his hail :
Pride goes pouncing and swooping before a fall ,
Thus to end up with a whimper, defeat and all.
The con man wears a greasy, porcelain grin
trumpets like a swan but the soul of a raven.
From paper mâché pulpit. he'll surely sling
thrice tainted blood drops passed off as gems.
His compliments are marbled with plastic
spray painted over in fool's gold
from your bones he whittles drumsticks
his words are Luke-warm but the heart rattles cold.
Simply, he's flaccid and just fancies attention
a little imp tugging at the locks of his fantasy.
Wait long enough and the porcelain cracks
leaking out a blackness and horrible stench.
When exposed he'll suddenly slink away
but rest assured this vampish chameleon
will re-emerge and sniff out a fresh vein.
To the moon and back
Like the song,
I struggled to survive this.
Lost myself while trying
To fit in, to alter,
Changing my human skin
To a chameleon skin.
Not to shine.
Not to stand out.
Not to be too much.
Lost myself in my attempt
To be less.
He knows but
I myself won't tell him
looking at me in sorrow
Having fun with that laughter too
i will never tell anyone
I'm in this thought every evening
What new sorrow will tomorrow
Who will show new colors like a chameleon
I am sitting with sorrow,
that too is my friend
One day that too will show a new color
Will leave happiness in my favor
He knows but
I myself won't tell him

People change from time to time
But time does not change for a dime
Time is money, that’s the slogan
Time is a serious and stalwart weapon
People change every hour of the day
But time remains steadfast everyday
Every hour, every minute and every second
Time has no hand, yet it is in high demand
People die every day, as more are born to die
This is the truth; I cannot tell a lie
Live and enjoy every second of the day
Because time is always slipping away
Time does not give change
People die and change all the time
That’s fine; that’s not a crime
Time possesses an unflinching range.

when the chameleon entered our jungle that day
The large carnivores promptly headed his way
I am mostly a plant eater, and I yelled no!
They turned their heads, but only halfway so.
It was enough to allow the chameleon to escape
I do not know if he went toward the mountain or cape
But his colors were so beautiful, I wanted him to remain alive
I had to fight off a jaguar, a puma, and a monkey until five
That’s when the giant anaconda came slithering up
He chased them all away, and then he and I had a sup
When he laughed I could see way down inside his mouth.
Unfortunately, there was the chameleon, way down south.
Baby chameleon with the gorgeous turquoise scales and happy grin
We like everything about you, especially your round dimples and chin.
I would spend more time with you, but there is a barrel I am in.
I do not dare escape it, for I am in a contest that I need to win.
I need a chameleon’s eyes if you ask me
so I can see in both directions simultaneously
you say seahorses can do this too?
Who knew? who Knew?
now I have a choice to make.
little at stake, my mind on bake.
chameleon or seahorse? Which one to be?
chameleon, who can turn colors you see.
an artist like me, an artist like me.
Please don’t think that I can’t see you
As I’ve got the most incredible eyes
Which move independently from each other
Although I’m known as a master of disguise!
I reside with my family in Madagascar
In rain forests where I live up a tree
I can change colour when I want to
So I’ll blend so you may not see me!
I adore eating lots of tasty insects
I catch them when I shoot out my tongue
It can project twice the length of my body
I’m very proud of my proboscis so long!
I am very adept at tree climbing
My prehensile tail acts as a fifth limb
I’m so lucky to live high up in the trees
My forest habitat is my very own gym!
