Chameleon

To the moon and back
Like the song,
I struggled to survive this.
Lost myself while trying
To fit in, to alter,
Changing my human skin
To a chameleon skin.
Not to shine.
Not to stand out.
Not to be too much.
Lost myself in my attempt
To be less.
