seems what it can seem,
really there, although unseen,
chameleon blends in.
chameleon syndrome-
perpetual changes
where e'er wind blows....
Note: For Chris' "Yet Another Senryu Contest"
Music of deception plays loud
Mask flips on the faces of crowd
In sly chameleon celebration
I dance with me in seclusion.
She sways with the breeze,
sweet zephyr of all laughter
on a beachfront vacation,
my bartender creates
color-changing margarita.
He loved her so much
trusted her with all he had
she pretended to love him
led him into her web
then pulled the wool over his head
A sunrise whisper
Blowing across life’s palette
Burnishes the days colors
Makes diamonds of the dew
Succumbs to Autumn’s waning touch
Listen to poem:
you said just blend in
to see, be seen, here and there
to adapt with camouflage
striking a go between
what you believe and compromise
chameleon's hide
borrower on running spree
lender in distress
I wanted to be a tiger
but I was a bunny
as a Gemini, godmother said
you are a chameleon
you can change from stripes to polka dots
I roared
Limping through the day,
searching for joyful moments
in the midst of my grief pit.
Using my camouflage,
I speak life by spreading kindness
Oh CHAMELEON,
you have changed over the years.
You were such a tease to me,
I loved talking with you.
WOW you are the Easter Bunny.
warm mellow breezes
of rippled buttery sun
churn buckets of spring
into chameleon leaves--
burning red, fore winter's kiss

Wearing shades of dye,
he smiled sweetly in daylight,
his hot sighs choked in the throat.
At night, secreting pain,
lay on bed, a chameleon.
ecstatic childhood
nurtured under principles
shouldering duties to prove
accomplishing the tasks
hide and seek of pains and pleasures

Be this wonderment
This voice from the clouds
Be this candlelight
This chameleon of night
Tell me then,
What is your query?
Share your enemies, but
Know thy God
Chameleon
Tiptoeing in the wilderness
Does not see left
Does not see right
Appetite ahead of its body
Then shoots its tongue forward
Only to get it stuck in thorns
Silent on the leaf,
Blending with the forest floor,
Static stone in midday heat,
An alert tongue is poised.
One strike, my car keys disappeared!
Let
your
talent
flow and grow
as
words
on an
arid world
An encouragement to all PS poets
inspired by your poetry this morning as I read and replied to my PS mail.
Dancing through my day.
Screech!
Things have turned.
That’s okay.
I am flexible.
Tah Dah Tah Dah
Dhramn!
Another glitch.
That’s okay.
Humming a Disney movie tune now.
Music of deception flows
Flipped faces metamorphose
In chameleon jamboree
I dance with me.

A beautiful chameleon doesn't ever find good hue identity. Just keeping leaf marks, not only... Petals quickly read some twilighting under vast waterfalls.
X-raying yellow zigzags.
sparkling sunrise smile ripples...still dark tears deep...mind hides chameleon.

Listen to poem:
A'ama is a
tasty Hawaiian crab meat,
ate fresh or when fried,
whole shell also, with sense-like
chameleon camouflage.

The chameleon moon
A tapestry of colors
Clinging to the sky
Steady rocking
From side
To side
Before catching
A sleepy
Dragonfly morsel
Using
Her elongated
Sticky red tongue
As a poet I sit on Pandora's box
And see the movements of fox
Some blue some red
Some are chameleon like bad
Then I draw my masterpiece on rocks
