chalcedony
a symbol of strength
revered by seventh daughters of seventh daughters
green with streaks of red
looks a bit like slate with blood stains
"The joy of the chromatic scenario embraces me,
as I’m allured by the autumns aura.” – Quote by Poet
The strands of silver cloud slowly drift,
graze the end-summer’s smoky sky.
The birds bathe in the luster of the blue bay,
fly in the twilight gleam to the nursing nest,
as autumn arrives creating the crystal ambiance.
Through the sunburst horizon’s diaphanous drape,
surreal spectrum radiates from the silken sunrays,
sparkling hues of the sky’s palette paint the dawn.
The bowed down blades of cinnamon grass swing
in the crisp air on the lap of the fawn meadow.
The pasture wears the crown of diamond dew,
sparkling with the flair of dawn’s chalcedony glow.
Lining the sun-soaked cinnabar garden path,
the trunks of tawny trees stand on the fallow soil,
as the rustling golden leaves echo the footfall of fall.
The setting sun ignites the inferno in the seamless sky,
makes a collage of blazing vermillion ember.
Suffused with its crimson glow I wait with soaring spirit
to see the stars sprout in the pellucid night,
get imbued with the flashing moondust aura of autumn.
The meadow wears the ornate crown of tinted topaz dew,
as dainty dawn glistens with mid-October chalcedony glow.
Lining the sun-splashed scarlet garden pathway paved anew,
dry trunks of the sepia trees standing on the carpet yellow,
hear in the rustle of falling golden leaves winter’s footfall slow.
The breeze blows the somber summer screen away,
the silken sky revives to radiate the argentine allure,
clumps of cloud turning white cotton from canvas grey,
sail shapeless across the span of seraphic azure.
The ambiance prism reflects the vive of autumn
in the lucent threshold of the sun-soaked horizon,
splitting the surreal sunbeam in VIBGYOR spectrum,
hypnotic hues pour out of palette, painting the dawn.
The bowed down slender grass blades with tawny tops,
sway in the crisp air on the lap of the maroon meadow,
wear the crafted crown of shining topaz dew drops,
sparkling with the floating flair of chalcedony glow.
Lining the sun-burnt blazing cinnabar garden pathway,
the dry wrinkled trunks of sepia trees still stand tall.
In the rhythmic rustle of the blushing leaves' splay,
they hear the melody of autumn’s aureate footfall.
The sky turns into inferno of lilac sunset splinter,
making the torrent of twilight in my heart to flow.
I hold its radiance for my time in the looming winter,
to feel the touch of warmth from autumnal afterglow.
The strands of silver cloud drift slowly away,
grazing the ash of the end-summer’s smoky sky.
The birds bathe in the patina of the blue bay,
in the twilight gleam to the nursing nests they fly,
as autumn arrives soaking crystal ambiance on the way.
The sunburst horizon’s diaphanous drape drawn,
surreal spectrum radiates from the slant sunray,
sparkling hues of the sky’s palette paint the dawn.
The bowed down blades of cinnamon grass sway
in crisp air on the lap of meadow turning fawn.
The satin grass wears the shining crown of topaz dew,
flickering with the flair of dawn’s chalcedony glow.
Lining the sun-burnt cinnabar garden path paved anew,
the trunks of sepia trees stand on the soil fallow,
rustling golden leaves echo fall’s footfall passing through.
The setting sun ignites the inferno in the seamless sky,
makes a collage of vermillion ember blazing bright.
In its crimson glow I wait with the spirit rising high
to see the stars sprout in the pellucid autumn night,
get imbued with moondust aura of joy flashing by.
The wisps of climbing clouds float slowly away,
brushing the azure of the end-summer’s ashen sky.
The returning birds bathe in the glint of the blue bay,
in the twilight gleam to the amber nest they all fly,
as autumn arrives with crystal ambiance on the sly.
In the lucent threshold of the sun-soaked horizon,
it splits the surreal sunbeam in the spectrum of rays,
sparkle of hues spilling from the palette colors the dawn.
Bowed down slender blades of fawn grass sway
in the crisp air on the lap of meadow turning gray.
They wear crafted crown of the shining topaz dew,
flickering with the flair of dawn’s chalcedony glow.
Lining the sun-burnt cinnabar garden path paved anew,
dry trunks of the sepia trees stand on the soil fallow,
hear in rustle of golden leaves autumn’s footfall slow.
As the setting sun sets fire in the fading satin sky,
making a surreal collage of vermillion ember bright.
Under its crimson radiance I wait with the spirit rising high
to greet the stars sprouting in the pellucid autumn night,
in moondust I long to be suffused with the aura of delight.

The wisps of climbing clouds floating away,
brush azure on the end-summer burnt sky.
The returning birds bathe in the sea of blue,
in twilight gleam to the amber nest they fly.
Autumn arrives with pristine crystal prism
in lucent threshold of sun-soaked horizon,
splitting surreal sunbeam in VIBGYOR rays,
hues spill out of palette coloring the dawn.
Bowed down slender blades of fawn grass
sway in crisp air on lap of auburn meadow,
wear crafted crown of shining topaz dew,
sparkling with the flair of chalcedony glow.
Lining the sun-burnt cinnabar garden path,
dry trunks of the sepia trees still stand tall.
In the rhythmic rustle of the blushing leaves
they hear the melody of autumn’s footfall.
As the setting sun sets fire in the satin sky,
making collage of vermillion ember bright.
Under its crimson radiance I wait enthralled
for stars to sprout in pellucid autumn night.

AUTUMN'S COLORED FOOTFALL
The wet brush of the climbing clouds washes the end-summer sky,
the wings of birds bathe in the blue when from amber nest they fly.
Autumn arrives creeping with purple prism in the sunburst horizon
splitting the surreal scarlet sunbeam in its hues coloring the dawn.
Yellow tinged blades of fawn grass swaying on maroon meadow
wears the crown of topaz dew sparkling in the chalcedony glow.
Lining the cinnabar garden path the sepia trees still stand tall,
in the rustle of the blushing leaves they hear autumn’s footfall.
As the setting pink sun blazes the sky in vermillion ember bright
in its crimson radiance I wait for the frigid fall of the winter night.

The assistant
At the doctor`s surgery, he had a young girl
training to be a diabetist; she had Chalcedony eyes
that shone brightly as onyx, her skin alabaster
without any blemish, a shy smile played upon her lips
a Mona Lisa unpainted.
I was a witness to perfection a beauty that can`t last
time will wear her down she will get a line between
her pert nose wrinkles around her eyes, of sadness
or laughter one hopes for the latter
Will the world fall into a devastating war and she
a victim of either hunger or radiation.
This didn`t mirror on her face only her glorious youth
and I was lucky to be an observer to the twinkling when
time stood still long enough for me to admire an ideal.
O h! Chalcedony stone dyed ebony
N ow newly formed and glistening upon the ring
Y our beauty thrilled the lovely lady
X in the center, diamond filled, unique engagement ring
