Premium Member She Will Not Budge

She will not change her mind, and she will not budge.
She is a nonconformist, who drinks beer, said my Uncle Mudge.
She is opinionated, vile, mean, and usually wrong.
It was the beginning of his “poor me” song.

She had left him at the alter when she found out he had cheated.
Saying she never wanted to see him again, her words unsweeted.
She stomped off mad, and she’s been mean as a bat caught in a fence.
He told me this, taking no guilt for his lack of common sense.

She is a rascal, a devil, a woman who cannot be rattled or taught.
He is being meaner now. He seems radical, ridiculous and overwrought.
She used to be my honey, but now she’s a woman of her own.
She is lanky and nasty, and her garden is way overgrown.

Budge To Dodge Grudge

When you are as a fool titled
Calmly proceed with no grudge
In case you abnormally erupt
You just take the title firmly

Criticisms all can level
Without a tinge of truth
If you take it seriously
Peace will ditch you soon

Those making a scary attack
Will forget you very soon
If you carry their rotten act
You mind does accept filth

They achieve a silly pleasure
By cornering you vehemently
Their minds contain only trash
Their behavior is unhealthy

If those people are ignored
Their action will slowly die
They may feel fully rejected
Next step will be quitting.

I Will Not Budge

As I listen to the stories my grandmother told
The tears I cry are heavy to hold
I wish I could tell my grandmother things have changed
But unfortunately a lot of things are still the same
Only if people didn’t judge you by the color of your skin
Then it would be possible for all races to win
Sometimes it’s like the world gets worse by the day
It seems if people are constantly going astray
The ones who are supposed to protect and serve, treat us like prey
We continue to get gunned down day by day
Our community continues to split
With most blacks ready to call it quits
“No justice No peace”
That’s what is yelled in the streets
If only black, white all races could unite
There wouldn’t be much to fight
Am I pretty ? Am I smart ?
My brown skin should not determine my heart
It is not fair to be labeled and judged
On the matter of racism, and unequal opportunities
I will not budge

Inspired by Angel Davis quote “In a racist society, it is not enough to be non-racist. We must be anti-racist “

Diwali Indian Festival of Light

The weather is chill and pleasant
Diwali fervor is round the corner
Yet my soul is not in synch
My mind doesn’t budge to tyranny

Will there be a cracker of a time
When firecrackers are banished
No: age cannot wither her;
Nor custom stale; in her infinite glory
Goddess Lakshmi is supreme!

Despots on prowl for exploits
State in cahoots with alien drill
It isn’t the strength of enemy
It is about Hindu gone astray
Having an unholy union

Diwali is victory of good over evil
It is about destroying the wicked
It is against villains spewing venom
It dispels gloom and darkness!

The smoke from burning embers
In the stomach of a billion Hindu
Will soon balloon to a wrath
The impact of which will witness

“Narakasura” perishing soon
Satyabhama’s ire will cause fire.
Charred bodies will lay strewn
Casting ultimate indignity fo
vexatious brigands.

Diwali is the Festival of Lights
It is knowledge to counter ignorance
Diwali is a festival of hope and happiness
It rings in prosperity to all
A very colorful event that
Usher cheer in people’s life!

Bare Grudge and Not Fudge Or Budge

will not give a budge
she always will bare a grudge
never liked my fudge

a slap in my face
no freedom or any trace
was their style and grace

Combat at the Capitol

sure to transpire
Trump liked being a liar
he does desire

how can we forget
things happened we will regret
standard start to set

made analogy
regarding psychology
need an apology

saw Trump swing in swamp
which is where he liked to romp
and do Bristol Stomp

deal consummating
we must be vaccinating
so should stop waiting

began to bereave
after that did always grieve
when loved one would leave

on long trail have trod
when I finally found God
near beach on Cape Cod

on the way to grave
for me vaccination save
then I will behave

Hold a Gtudge and Never Budge

Hold a Grudge and Never Budge

do like eating fudge
have been know to hold a grudge
never ever budge

of honor she was maid
down the aisle in big parade
big bucks parents paid

when his heart pounded
shaky is how he sounded
heard he had drownded

when we would labor
was at war with my neighbor
we drew our sabre

delightful with charm
happiness causes no harm
even found on farm

Had Grudge and Did Not Budge

when we had a grudge
bought a mask and did not budge
need another nudge

Premium Member Winter Won't Budge

It's a gloomy day;
Spring is on Her way,
yet I feel somewhat depressed.
I enjoy the sun
but there has been none;
today mirrors all the rest.

The birds aren't singing;
Winter's still clinging
and the sky's stained somber grey.
The air is chilly;
it may sound silly,
but I fear Winter may stay.

There is not much snow
just an inch or so;
but April is near its end.
When Winter won't budge,
time gives Her a nudge;
or She will overextend.

I dream of when green
will dapple the scene;
and flowers bloom in color.
But with only white
and no buds in sight,
today seems so much duller.

Budge It - Mr Budget

The budget is boring, George Osborne is a pratt *
Raising extra monies by taxing this and that
The deficit is crippling, but he hasn’t got a clue
To me, the next election seems long overdue!

* the spell-checker wanted to amend prat to part. I almost went with that suggestion, but couldn’t decide which part people would assume he was…
