fake mausoleum art to blurb

always did disturb
had been a big blurb
we knew would perturb
In my poems you will find
Introspections from a worldly mind.
Some are pensive, some are kind,
But they helped me pass my time.
I hope that you’ll enjoy my wit,
And don’t consider me a twit.
By the time you read my poems all through,
You’ll find that I am very much like you.
In my poems, you will see
Life’s dominant personalities.
As words poured freely from my mind,
These personalities slowly were defined.
Some thoughts are flippant, and some are tender,
Some are distant, but still rendered.
Most are harmless, but some are lethal,
And some were borrowed from other people.
Some poems are passionate, yet filled with strife
And though not pretty, they’re part of life.
Some will leave you open-eyed.
So, buckle up for a sentient ride.
One must love writing
to be good at it --
the caress of feelings
into words – the fondling
of pen and page,
knowing when to end
while not wanting to --
Was black ink appropriate?
Or this work worthy of red,
what we inscribe life with
till the well is depleted
and the quill, dry and
brittle – for all intent purposes
pointless to jot….
Fed-up folks donned bearskins and hibernated
Woke up twenty years later, a bit addle-pated
They figured they'd outlived the worst
But on their devices a blurb so terse
Vote for Ivanka, she's expiated; unlike Hunter, who's dissipated
Had been hearing about a blatant blurb,
Efforts exerted so they can find an herb;
Tried and tried;
He lied and lied;
Trump's idiotic cravings it now can curb.
Jim Horn
It was 3 in the morning.
Boldly he sat up in bed !
Carolyn ! Carolyn ! He said- -
I’m dead ! I’m Dead
Sleepily she answered slowly “Why Charles? Why do you think you are dead?’
Because, - - I can see it - - I have a blurb, it’s right here– his hand outstretched about half way with the index finger sort of wobbling in multi direction.
No, Charles, you’re not dead, only dreaming.
Are you sure! Because I can see it- -, plain as day!
Yes, I’m sure – go back to sleep- - -
- - - o. k. - - good.
