"Only from the heart can you touch the sky."

                                        Quote by _Rumi

I went for a walk at twilight, that magic hour on the edge of night. When the sky is melting
into a sea of color. A blazing inferno descending. Vibrant red, orange, gold, purple hues,
and darkening blue, streaking and mingling. Clouds filmy grey drift waiting to welcome the
moon. But not yet, please, let me linger in the beauty . . .

the trees are shadows
swaying in tranquility-
serene sounds peaceful

Inspired with reflection and contemplation. I am full of solace and peace filling me with
euphoria. Oh, to become part of the painting in the sky that is melting into the earth bathing
the trees in golden hues. And then, the sun falls into the horizon and the sky is a dark blue
tint, till a explosion of stars surround the moon . . .

 the edge of night drops
so beautifully quiet-
diamonds that twinkle

too hot to smile
too humid to move
too stagnant to do anything

July’s heat has incapacitated me
will August be a blazing inferno in Kansas?
or will autumn come early?

And With Tantalizing Depths Found We Paint Beauty Divine

I walked into blazing inferno, heart so ready
My soul so positive, this old heart beating so steady
Rhythm and rhyme bursting so like a balloon to get out
Energy in these veins pouring verses like water spout
And an eager spirit, speaking of life, dear love and hope
Warning of this world's deepest darkness and its savage scope
But mixed in is heart's mercies and a ton, so much more
Poets know this, and that is why to Heavens they implore
Celestial guidance and a rare, gifted word or two
O' mighty lord so we dare beg thee that thy hand will do
Allow us to cast the fine words that makes our spirits soar
Open up senses and poetry flows through golden doors.

And with tantalizing depths found, we paint beauty divine.
Drink we fruit of our words like great and true, fine tasting wine!

Robert J. Lindley, Sonnet

Absurdity

When I close my eyes shut, each time.
Of what I mean to you I think, every time.
How I was spellbound having seen you, I remember.
How I never ran out of the words, which to you admire.
Bonded were we by a cord of friendship.
Solemnly I swear, for you, I'd endure any hardship.
I adored you my treasure, your soul, its austerity.
Something seemed amiss, latched was a small absurdity.

It demanded more, but couldn't meet its satiety.
It ignited a blazing inferno within me.
It changed me, unaffected how could you be?
It was really very simple but our lives made it complicated.
It was always possible, it couldn't have been really faded.
It, for me, always got more intense.
For just having met you, I'm grateful to the Divine Providence.
It's a crazy little thing, if you'd rather ask.
All my insecurities it seemed to mask.
Every moment spent with you, I deeply miss.
Do you really know what this absurdity is?

To our only existence, life it seems to bestow.
The more it is given to us, still more we endow.
It's a beautiful blessing granted to us from Him, above.
It's just the one and only thing called Love.

Oh, he that kisses my pale cheek,
And my scarlet lips;
And my raven hair he does caress,
Our love is fierce and strong;
Oh, come to me in dreams, in dreams.

Hearts and souls, mirror images of desire,
Entwined in never-ending flames;
A forever blazing inferno of love,
No two more linked, connected, alike;
Such great passion and sweetness.

And although he has long gone above,
A name engraved in cold stone;
Beneath the earth bones decayed,
We remain twin flames, burning;
For the soul, the soul never ever dies.

Oh, he that kisses my pale cheek,
And my scarlet lips;
And my raven hair he does caress,
Our love is fierce and strong;
Oh, come to me in dreams, in dreams.

And when my life is done, love,
We shall be again a matching pair;
And dwell as two flaming stars above.

Blazing Inferno

Premium Member One Wonder Arises

Hailing from
ancient times
Artemis goddess
princess of the moon
in bringing light
into darkness

Arising one giant
among'st men
from the temple
of spirits
who hails
queen over
mother earth

Walking in
the valley
among'st wheat
feelings they embrace
held within emotions
stirring waters
in spring fertility
growing food
of love
flowering with seed

Dancing Amazon warriors
playing golden music
upon silver flutes
singing this song
upon the altar
a blazing inferno
of flaming tongues
consuming fire

From out
of the ashes
one star burning
brightly becomes
a rising sun
light of love shines

Upon a great queen
who has risen
kneeling in honor
your servant
born under
the wolf moon

it was a long journey
but i found you
in one single step
justice served
with warm light
within the heart

Holding within
the hands
Bizarre feelings
In a coil
full of emotions
In the nature
Of it
what would
Shakespeare say
Is it to be
Or not to be

In answer to
A thousand questions
Challenging within
Wandering lonely
In many's
a town

Dreaming in heather
Lying on the hill
Staring into clouds
A host
of silver stars
One cross
to bare
Different shapes
And forms
Finding love
is to be

Into dark clouds
Carrying feelings
With us
A soul speaks
From hidden depths
The black dragon
Monster of
The deep
Fire scorching
Within the chamber walls
Burning deep
not to be

The present
Of passed sins
Bestowed on love
Or not to love
One question asked
I arise
to this almighty challenge
Arise love
Humbling word
The soul
Pulls all strings

Heartbreaks easily
Will love again
When embers light
A blazing inferno
To be found
In heaven
Also hell

dazzling the eyes
like a star
lighting up
begins an unsung melody
flowing most beautiful
of rivers
tricking within
a soul

digging deep
i found
a golden treasure
wrapped most precious
of gems
touched the deepest

whispering softly
plays upon cords
drifting upon air
the sweetest
of music
playing a violin
crying every breath
echoes in wind

stoking a fire
burning hot
blazing inferno
sparking desires
you darling
my second
heartbeat

A life time ago and far away, in ebony darkness,
hanging on invisible threads, silver orbs, mini spheres
occupy a place, in that great space, of starkness,
that can freeze hearts and the souls of man - his peers.

Yet this silver orb, it’s companion spheres, guide
man’s romantic heart, his spirit on a long ride,
across the land of love, the lands of this planet,
the oceans deep, as he wonders, hoping to get
to that place – to know which is the right way to go,
what life is all about and what it is to show,
all of man kind, how to find, the adventurer in
himself, to forego what has been many a mans sin.

The lethargic, lifeless, languishing, sleeping man,
who sits on his ass, life passing him by
quicker than he can blink an eye,
doing positively nothing he can
to light the fires, lift spirits, sing – the flames to fan
into a blazing inferno, souls delight, lighting the skies
that might fill man’s heart, spirit, soul and his eyes
so that, upon this earth, man kind no longer cries
for all he feels, he has left behind – believes dies.

All Life, is a positive force !
Sometimes taking a negative coarse !

Burn In Shame

September 29, 2012
--------------------------

Guilty Guilty,
I'm to blame
Guilty Guilty,
Burn in shame
The lying game, the dying game
Play no more
Drown in misery until there's nothing more
Guilty Guilty
We're all to blame
Guilty guilty
A blazing inferno covering our shame
But in reality the most at fault,
Is I
I am the one to blame
I am guilty
Guilty Guilty

Truth Or Dare

Glowing shimmering
Radiating light
A blazing inferno
Unmoving, powerful
Raging energy
Hot as the sun
Defying those
Who try to put it out
Refusing to give in
Never showing weakness
Seems unfeeling
And not wanting anyone
While inside is hidden
By a mask of indifference
A flickering flame
A small spark
Warm, and soft
Gentle and desperate
For someone to share
The worries and fears
Unable, unwilling
To succumb to tears
Strong it does seem
And unable to dim
The appearance on the outside
Hides the truth within

Hell & Back

Your heart heaves in your chest
as you fall into the abyss.
Razor sharp walls
mince your body up,
and needles are shot
like missiles at you.
The beast slowly scrapes
your skull away
and sucks at your flesh
stuck in his teeth.

Your heart
becomes a blazing inferno,
as you claw and tear
at your chest
to put it out.
Then when all you desire
is Death,
you surface back to reality,
only to find
a vile black leech
sucking the emotions from you
     and Another.
You tear away
the slime ridden creature
leaving a grotesque,
disease infested scar in place.

Rise Above

Nightmares to day dreams
feel like my brain would freeze
had no ease, no rest and no
peace.
The hurt blazing, inferno sky's
fading as none of the light came in
hiding in the corner cowering as words
broke my skin, razor sharp like a tack
or a pin and im sitting here left
wondering.

If i could rise above your agony
get past this indignity
would i ever get past this angry sea
could i really ever just be me.

Daydreams to nightmares
terror and rage, energy balled up
and trapped in a cage, no way
i could ever relieve the pressure
feeling like the roof caved in.
Ashamed and unaware of being played
this was her favorite game, every lie the same
so im done being the one you play, that's
all i have to say.

If i could rise above your agony
get past this indignity
ever cross that angry sea
finally just get to be me.
