And With Tantalizing Depths Found We Paint Beauty Divine

And With Tantalizing Depths Found We Paint Beauty Divine I walked into blazing inferno, heart so ready My soul so positive, this old heart beating so steady Rhythm and rhyme bursting so like a balloon to get out Energy in these veins pouring verses like water spout And an eager spirit, speaking of life, dear love and hope Warning of this world's deepest darkness and its savage scope But mixed in is heart's mercies and a ton, so much more Poets know this, and that is why to Heavens they implore Celestial guidance and a rare, gifted word or two O' mighty lord so we dare beg thee that thy hand will do Allow us to cast the fine words that makes our spirits soar Open up senses and poetry flows through golden doors. And with tantalizing depths found, we paint beauty divine. Drink we fruit of our words like great and true, fine tasting wine! Robert J. Lindley, Sonnet Note : No date on poem but must have been in the mid 1970'S..

Oh my, what a breathtakingly profound and deep write this is and especially reading the year when it was written just makes me awestruck..I feel truly blessed to be present amongst such brilliant poets and getting to learn from everyone, being a 2005 born, I'm just a learner, and this write.. Ah it's depth and emotions are beyond heartfelt, "drink we fruit of our words" And so many other wonderful lines with impeccable rhymes and wordplay!

Thank you, my good friend. I was young and was turning out about 5 /6 poems a week back then. I wrote very fast because the verses came to me very fast. Verses back then would come to me 6 or 8 at a time. God bless you....

Robert, which type of sonnet is this, and in what meter. Iambic, Anapestic! Or what. I don’t write these because I do not know how to. Sure, I know it’s 14 lines. And I don’t know how many syllables in a line. Either, So what type of sonnet is this? I would appreciate an answer. Thank you. Panagiota

“ drink we fruit of our words” ah this line would resonate with so many i believe. Your words are as always so poetic and very creative, how you weave them together and make them flow. So many great lines in this. Your choice of rhymes in this sonnet is so captivating and very catchy. I really love this line “ poetry flows through golden doors” ah how deep and touching is that! Really inspiring! Always a pleasure reading your profound words .
