Best Wolfman Poems
It's full moon
and he is feeling tense
angry
hopeless
and desperate
taking antidepressants
by fists
talking to his
psychiatrist
yelling to his
little kids
to his wife
and to the police
spending the weekend
in jail
howling
like a wounded beast...
pray
for this
poor Wolfman
born with shackles
on hands...

A car door opens
her long shapely leg steps first
this is love or lust
The heart beat flutters
he watches each moves she makes
deep within he sighs
Which move shall he make
I am so sorry Wolfman
this tail is taken
Her name is Molly
she does tricks for her master
rolls over and sits

Soon the sun will set and the moon will rise.
Stay safe and stay here or he will find you.
Sleek silver hunter with red rabid eyes
The sun starts to set. The moon starts to rise.
He growls lupine rage. This predator spies
his victim, alone. He leaps straight and true.
The sun disappears. The moon is your eyes.
Stay safe and stay here or he will find you.

Sitting by his burned fire logs red embers glow and morph into visual stimulus.
Wolfman is sated on venison and has meat hung for jerky in his log home.
Wolfman is pleased with his skill in hunting and survival in the wilderness.
If his buddies could see him now....what they must think?!

Nightfall was here,
The reward for his habitual labor was well on its way,
Storming through borders,
Invading backwards cities,
Collecting pieces and parts,
Digesting human heart.
Suddenly his hot lit eyes,
Spotted an unusual sight,
Her reflection off the quiet lake,
Stifled his appetite,
His nostrils flared exposing smoke,
For autumn’s chill consumed his cloak,
He swept across the trees,
Causing her to feel an abrupt breeze,
She looked around, but noone was there
She knew a presence had snuck a stare,
She continued on her way,
Then felt compelled to pray,
Asking God to bring to her,
A man that would love her so,
Vocalizing that she didn’t care,
If his looks were hard for others to bear,
As long as he could truly love,
And appreciate her like his dove.
She would be grateful,
For her heart wasn’t capable of being hateful,
She prayed the rest of her way,
While this man of the night
Listened intently to every word she did say,
And when she got to her humble little home
She went to bed all alone,
Now the time was half past two,
This beast did not know what to do,
For his night had now become defeated,
For her words had made his will depleted,
He began to weep,
His wounds were deep,
Nevertheless, all that came out were howls,
He became an animal in love that could only let out growls,
The anguish of this tragic story,
He yearned to be held by all her glory,
He proceeded to watch her while she slept in peace,
She was an angel, he was a beast
Then around 6 am
This beauty woke to start again,
When she walked outside,
Her face went white and her eyes grew wide,
Her little house had foot prints all around,
Shaped like hearts but marks from a hound,
A message from a tormented slave,
Someone not even her love could save.

Narrative
With unnatural restraint he quells his primal urge
Guarding something of himself; half man, half wolf
Languished captive, no hope of escape
The power of love grows stronger still
Helpless, against his own will.
Inflamed with savage desire
He catches a glimpse of her through the trees
With a wildly pulsating heart he rises to meet her
Unquenched desire rises as he lifts his head high
Sorrow overwhelms him as he lets out his howling cry.
He gazes upon her, his savage heart softened and tamed
by her golden flame as he beholds her face etched upon the moon

As the wolves continued to hunt in their pack
There was nothing that they would lack
They found a man who would join the nightly hunt
Raiding the forests in their nightly jaunts
No, fear did they seem to display
Hunting at night and sleeping by day
As each early morning sun would rose
He would find himself in a crouched up pose
It felt like he was living some strange, strange dream
For his clothes were dirty and ripped at the seams

It was the night of the full moon,
When he would go a-hunting.
He was not always seeking prey,
But he was hunting something.
There was a glade deep in the wood,
With a lovely little pond,
And she would come when it was dark,
And of her he'd grown quite fond.
They each came often to this place.
T'was here that he first saw her.
Her eyes, her hair, her glowing skin,
She was a thing of wonder.
She stood in the silver moonlight,
The moon beams on her hair.
She sat by the edge of the water,
So delicate and fair.
Why was he drawn to her this way?
He longed to be her lover,
But she was human, was she not?
She pulled him like no other.
He watched her hidden by the leaves,
Longing to be by her side,
But he could never let her know,
She'd never be his bride.
She stood and looked up at the moon,
Then she dropped her gown.
She turned and looked straight at him,
And dropped down to the ground.
She shimmered in the moonlight.
The change in her was quick.
Did his eyes deceive him,
His mind, perhaps play tricks?
There before him stood his queen,
All silver, grey and shining.
A she-wolf like he'd never seen,
And she had sensed his pining.
Now he rushed toward her.
He'd found at last his mate.
No longer would he hunt alone,
For this was kismet, fate.

The moon glistened with pride
Burning thru a blackened sky
The world oblivious to his stride
Upright, all fours, n back
Panting n snorting like distorted dogs in a hunt ahead the pack
The light flickering thru the trees
Closing in like an enviable attack til claws greet a trunk with a razor like clasp
The window show no mercy
Showing the night the extent in inches from head to everything
Eyes forward like a predator planning
Claws tightly grasping the trunk, scratching
Her body was flawless
Something like a goddess
Eyes slashing thru the dead night, watching ominously certain
Fur rising to a ward off stance while hiding
Thinking about today in the square when they both were hands clasped together feelings arising
Heart then then fluttering with joy but now
Pounding
Pounding from grief
The beast n man mixture cease to look upon his beauty
His shaggy mittens with embedded talons
Snatched away what hands could do for he
Snarling
Drooling
Fangs protruding
Anger polluted his head
Grief thru his veins like the wolf gene that now shows that the beast is outta seclusion
Giant rhythms of a beating, breaking heart still moving
His vision taunts him with sights
While senses r heightened n smelling that scent of her he likes
Sorrow fills the wells of his eyes
Hidden in the black of night
He turns to shun her outta his life
For she'll never Love the beast, just the man inside
N he can't Love her becuz of the fright of a sight
Waking up, bloody mess, her body dismembered
From left to right
He stares vengefully at the moon howling his protest
For the unnatural has trumped over one of lifes greatest conquest........to travel damned n alone.....a merciless fate untold.......Peace

Living in the wild
walking circles trying to find
a place to lay his head
where the night would ease his mind.
Not of this world
lost in a silent dimension
Like an adolescent boy
beyond his comprehension.
He is superhero undergoing
transformations
Confused at his purpose in life
born with no invitation.
A hollowness inside growing
faster than the wind
Like cancer eating rapidly
No medicine can mend.
Silent so not to cause
any public fear.
Screaming inside
because he's so sincere.
Trapped in a body
nowhere left to run
Longing for a freedom
He isn't certain can be won.
Entering into a
territory of fear
Holding onto faith
That the next phase of life is near.
Peace overcomes him
as the night envelops his heart.
No idea where he is going
and not scared to soon embark.

Crisp night swirls leaves thru the air, the message's in the wind.
Something weird has happened today, the wolfman's in a spin.
He stopped by the vet who washed and detangled all his hair
Cut and snipped his ragged nails - not much, while he was there.
As he skated around the corner to pick up a new dog chain
He stopped by the groomer, who cleaned and polished his fangs.
Tonight he's meeting someone special what else could he think of-
Besides, the leaves had carried it, the Wolfman had fallen in love.
A ghost at the counter spooked, “You’ve been weird since noon”
Wolfman said nothing simply stared at time in the moon.
In a huff he said “On this special day I simply cannot be late-
Meeting someone at midnight- by the cemetery gate”.
Then he remembered he must stop- pick up fresh flowers-
A new resident's in the grave yard, only been there a few hours.
Eagerly he reached the cemetery, inhaled the smokey breeze-
Movements of the night –the swaying of the leafless trees.
The bats began serenading - with the owls from the sky right above
Again the leaves were right- the wolfman has fallen in love.

The wolves were hunting food
And sighted grazing sheep;
The pack encircled them,
Deciding which to keep.
As Wolfman joined the hunt,
The leader brought one down,
And killed it in a flash -
It died without a sound.
The leader took his share,
Then others had their fill,
And Wolfman tried raw meat,
Expecting to be ill.
His teeth, too, ripped at flesh,
His face besmeared with blood,
But then his neighbour fell
And died upon the mud.
The farmer fired again,
Another wolf fell dead,
Next time the farmer missed -
The wolves and Wolfman fled.

You carnivorous beast
Do not approach me
I must love
But the other form
You eat so wrong
Both hands
Into the mouth it goes
Rare meat
Painful to watch
As whomever it was
Horrifies me
Please just go away
I’ll catch you on the return
I’ll await your transformation
To normal life
But is it really normal
Is it worth these changes
Knowing it’ll always
Be this way
Please don’t approach me
I love you
I know you love me too
Don’t come near me
Till you change back
I’ll wait…

When is it enough?
Or is it that someone is telling you you can't have it?
Lay your pride down on the ground.
Fur will only take you so far.
Make trash of those fangs.
Antelopes move north tonight.
No. I'm not coming.

The wolfman is cute
he wears a sexy perfume
all for his damsel
he no longer fumes
he just keeps swooning all day
he craves his damsel
he scares no longer
chases not the little ones
but he buys flowers
his cheeks are blushing
crimson red is the colour
when the damsel dance
she is so pretty
she is the queen of the night
with long black hair locks
each time she dances
the wolfman's heart beats loud
he wishes a kiss
the wolfman is dull
all day his head is in clouds
whole town hears him sign
we want to help him
we introduce him to her
but the lover ran
