Premium Member Like No Other

Before the future and after the past
We have found each other’s souls at last

In the beat of a heart I was able to see
The rest of my life belonged to thee

When our eyes met it wasn’t a glance
Locked together in a forbidden trance

For we had each given up on love
And being forgiven by Lord above

We were forever lost and on the run
Burying our pain by having our fun

Children scattered from here to there
As we stayed so high we didn’t care

We each knew when you come down
You lose your mask and face the clown

And that was something we couldn’t do
Until the day you met me and I met you

Unplugging the phone we locked the doors
I told you my sins and you told me yours

The people in our life just couldn’t believe
We found in each other the strength to leave

To change our fate was quite the chore
But there was noting we each wanted more

My children love you and yours love me
Because we have melted into one family

I wrote this poem because I want you to know
You beat with my heart and live in my soul

You have always been way more than my lover
You’re the friend I found who is like no other

How Blessed is she, to be with Thee
My only Prayer, she waits for me
With clouds in the sky, I sit and Cry
Why so young, did she have to die?
My Broken Heart has LOVE denied

I remember her kiss, A Heavenly Bliss
The love in her eyes, I intensely miss
I reminisce of Forever LOVE, so pure
Her Heart of gold, shall always endure
A Broken Heart, Her LOVE is the cure

Softly singing, are the Bagpipes and Fife
In Honor of my Dearest Most Beloved Wife
Living the joyful fulfillment of Eternal Life
FOREVER and ALWAYS I whisper my LOVE
Until We Entwine again , in HEAVEN Above

The Question

I remember the day so very clear.
I was alone for so very long.
Emptyness was my heart untill
you were here.

A dark rose that shed light.
A perfect answer.
To a question unknown from spite.

We found soliace in arms covered in emotional
scars.
You lost in gloom.
I from the bars.

I write to you from the depths of my heart.
That are time is eternal.
Eventhough in this moment we are apart.

That message in a bottle will always read the same.

You have taken my heart now I ask
will you take my name.

What Is Love

Is love a feeling trapped deep inside
that any painful moment can cause you to cry
Is love an infatuation with the opposite sex
feeling you must always be at your very best

Is love a thought, action, or deed
grown in the heart from the planting of a seed
for what is love but a single notion
that drives the heart with many emotions

Is love the warmth beneath a gentle breath
that sends uncontrollable chills down the back of your neck
Is love the desire behind a stare that leaves you in a daze
hypnotize by lust struck within its gaze

Is love the security felt from a strong embrace
or the steady soft caress of a hand upon your face
is love missing someone when they've gone on a long trip
or the heated passion of a slow kiss upon your lips

Is love merely knowing someone will always be there
just knowing your heart and life will always be shared

Tribute To a Lady

Sometimes at evening when the sun goes down
I light a little candle all ready for love
I am older than Luther, soul of soul unbound
I bridge desire with Bee Gees, and move
To your ears to whisper in hibiscus tones
Anticipating your wet and sweet delicious moans.

But you have the day still wired to your soul
Blisters and bruises from Monday’s blues
You sigh misshaped by the world’s callous mould
You need tenderness without the old cues
Silent massage of toes, and a listening ear
To the litany of woes wrinkling your heart with care.

I say softly to our son, your mother, child, is weary
She is human too … not just here to serve
Our needs … milk of our existence bright or dreary
Prattling visions of corrections on the nerve
Help me to do, what she alone so oft has done
Bring her to a state crowned in golden glows of sun.

O mother, woman, queen, eternal wife, behold
My soul is laid down as carpet for your feet
My heart the citadel replenishing love and gold
Defending your virtue from rough rain and sleet
I come with thoughts of kindness and the thrift
Of all my soul’s domain as your treasure and gift.

A Sonnet For My Heart

For you’re my heart and my life’s chosen muse.
Without you, my life would be so confused.
You’re the one my heart chose on that sweet day,
You’re the one who brightened my lonely life.
When you looked at me in that charming way,
I knew then, I had to make you my wife.
The way you walk and the way you move, girl.
Gives my body goose-bumps the size of pearls.
You set my life free from its loneliness,
Alongside you is my best company.
You filled my cup; there’s no more emptiness,
And you are my muse to write poetry.
I say we’ve had the loveliest embark,
That’s why I wrote a sonnet for my heart.

Premium Member With You

Because of the person you are
My heart shall rest upon a star

Of the beauty that my eyes see
There is a dream in front of me

Of this lady that I adore
Another dream I can explore

Regardless of what I may be
So lucky am I to have thee

My heart it is a ball of flame
Burning bright the light of your name

Sweetheart you know my heart is true
I’m so proud to be bound by you

Bound by you and the arms of fate
Lets close the doors and lock the gate

Find that place only we can be
Share the dream only we can see

Let us let the world pass us by
Spread our wings and caress the sky

Sail right through a billowy cloud
As our song is sung clear and loud

I’m but a vessel lost at sea
Sailing your heart eternally

My friend, wife and child’s mother
For me there could be no other

Why is my course forever true?
I gave my heart and soul to you

Beauty and the Unpublished Author

Far away in a little town tucked in the corner of a map
Lives the girl who ruined his heart
And broke his life

While with him she would smile and laugh so sweet
Tender as only she could be
In his heart she lit even the corners so deep

With time she became his definition of life
In all he did he had her in mind
Life wasn’t life without him seeing her smile

As moments grew into weeks
The flower of his heart started to reveal its wilt
In her eyes no longer was the sparkle he was used to seeing

Winds carried awful odour of their disorder
Tales went round of her illicit exploits behind the counter
The man with the shop at the corner savoured all the honey she offered

At first he dismissed the whispers with laughter
But soon he discovered he was the only one on the other side of reality’s border
Yes indeed, another prince had taken over

Trouble was how sincerely he loved her
Problem was that even she had only love to offer
Issue was he hadn’t yet sold a dime of the books he authored

If I Only Had One Day To Live

If I knew I was going to die, today.
I really have no idea, what I would say.
I think I would go to work as always.
Since that is where my full heart plays.
I would tell my wife, that I love her so.
Much, much more than she would ever know.
She along with God saved my mortal life.
Rescuing me more ways than just being my wife,
I have no desires to fulfill here on earth.
Though I know I didn’t fulfill my worth.
Nevertheless, I served my best in integrity.
If I had only one day to live, just now,
I would tell all to live the best they know how.
Remember their mistakes, don’t make them twice.
But if they do, stay away from making them thrice.
My last words would be to say, everyone has value.
Though be cautious of the feeling they have overvalue.
My heart beat weakening, my breath weakening too.
Upon last breath, I say goodbye, precious life to you.

Premium Member What Should a Love Story Be

What should the perfect love story be?
Maybe about the future or past history

Maybe the story should just be about today
If it were your final breath what would you say?

The Lord is the maker and the keeper of time
He is the giver of love and all that’s divine

How can any love story not involve him?
The keeper of truth, the forgiver of sin

Jesus Christ is the father and I am but a seed
Regardless of the path I shall follow his lead

I praise God for the pain that hinders my way
For it truly does offer plenty of time to pray

The more that I pray the more clearly I see
Exactly what a perfect love poem should be

It should be hot as the desert, beautiful as the snow
Born way deep in the heart so it can forever glow

It should speak the honest truth about your dearest friend
How the strength of your love helped each of you to mend

The story should be of two lovers, bound by the soul
Yet each is has the freedom to leave, if they wish to go

You see true love was truly intended for us to caress
Tell me, “How can an unseen entity ever be possessed”

Love is a part of your heart and a part of your soul
So please caress it, bless it and make it your goal

And that’s what a true love poem is really about
Cherishing each others love through all the doubt
