The Question

I remember the day so very clear.
I was alone for so very long.
Emptyness was my heart untill
you were here.

A dark rose that shed light.
A perfect answer.
To a question unknown from spite.

We found soliace in arms covered in emotional
scars.
You lost in gloom.
I from the bars.

I write to you from the depths of my heart.
That are time is eternal.
Eventhough in this moment we are apart.

That message in a bottle will always read the same.
Julia Elizabeth Loveless.
You have taken my heart now I ask
will you take my name.

Dear John, I hope her answer is "yes." It's such a comfort when two people who have been inflicted with "emotional scars" are able to rise above the pain and let into their hearts again. In my opinion, nothing can top a proposal made through poetry. Skip the bended knee; grace her heart with poetry. Excellent writing as always, John! Love, Carolyn
