Summer’s sweetest natural dessert
Presented itself to me in the form of a
Large seeded watermelon that
I found by chance at a local food stand.
Thrilled was I to see such a perfect specimen!
Wide, round, and green,
It had a yellowish underside and those “bee stings”
Desired by people who search for the tastiest melons
Every year when that marvelous fruit is in season.
On my arrival home, I stumbled and dropped that luscious melon.
Pulp of red juiciness splattered all over the driveway -
Effectively destroying the whole thing as it went KER-SPLAT,
Never to be enjoyed by my expected dinner guests that evening!

“Love is a power so strong, yet if compressed without
outlet, it is as good as stagnant waters"---by poet
As we roamed under the star spangled sky,
Sharing many a trivial thought
I failed to voice my clandestine whim
Structured within my heart's inmost core
When words got suddenly broken up
With a lump forming in my throat
I failed to convey what I meant
In a language explicit for you to grasp
Gazing at each other, as we stood
Without uttering a word aloud, never making explicit
My thoughts with inhibitions subduing me,
You failed to notice my love lit eyes
Sadly glistening with tears, about to shed
Sad, my thoughts scattered like dead leaves
Abandoned by the trees in harsh autumn wind
Whirling down directionless and fated to rot
At the end of a pleasant united jaunt
When forced to take our own solitary paths
With life’s journey diverging in opposite tracks,
We failed to say even a parting word
As a gesture of courtesy, due for both
Alas, when the past has dwindled slowly away
We remain in our own cloistered cells
Failing to forget what has transpired
With wounds bleeding all through time
Whenever I think of our love, that got thus fused
Standing speechless and tongue tied every time
I force a wistful glow, wondering what might have been
If you could see my heart split wide open
And known my true feelings which I could never once divulge

In quiet, space breaks down into insight.
Opposing the edge amidst deceit and blight.
Imperceptible resonation is reflected back.
On a hunch, or at the stroke of night track.
A lethal tree is still close in the woodlands.
The spirit was trailing on the kist of the tree.
At first, kids looked to chip with their hands.
Seep into the night in a ruddy shrunken spree.
I wake up early to the Greek myth of Zeus.
A vessel drifting on the Dal Lake in Udaipur.
The sound of a woman sobbing in sadness.
Over calm green oceans, echoes in Jupiter.
She was performing in a velvety baritone.
Pain in the midst of the tranquility of dawn.
Endeavoring to perform the icy top in June.
Mountains that frame the Kilimanjaro awn.
Ghastly calamities smash and deeply devastate.
I rightly fear that wide-open harm didn't recover.
You can expect the best, yet I will never hesitate.
My dear life depends on your choice; kindly usher.
I regularly defied to bid someone to criticize.
The one-sided truth was dazzling blindness.
My space was thwarted in the related size.
I felt as if somebody led a ruin process.
Sacredness to which humankind might relate,
With the moon sitting on edge of the world.
Mountains meet to uncover the ornate.
Smiling and radiating, from high observed.
There are times when I can feel the crests fly.
I'm being held down as my blood is drained.
Brain scars result from ruined sight and sway.
When I perish, a chasm arises in my mind.
A lean, edge-on which rests one's optimism.
Please be cautious of steps you split wide open.
In fate, a walk on shells will be optimum.
Shift much fatal shooting and be woken.
I minded my name being said in a whisper.
I was adducible of a hand tapping my forearm.
When I swung around to direct a look closer,
I found myself alone and aching for smarm.
How might a heart that dorsum and delicate,
Have the sway to bear a vast part desolate.
But we're apt despite our humble eyesight.
To discover the earth and the vast infinite.
The monstrosity of the encompassing world.
Encompassed by both the sight and the sound.
Emotions energize the heart within the darkness.
Eyes that can consistently scan such elegance.

Can you hear me spirits that flows in air....
I swear to you that the love we have is so rare..
Can you hear me wide open sky ?
He's the one that with him I shall die...
Can you witness my lovely stars on my vow ?
Can you hear me when I swear to never let him go ...
When I swear to always stay by his side...
Even through the sickness - even through the blind...
With his hold I'll wipe away my tears...
And with his love I'll push away my fears...
I'll always contain his whispers - his touch - his love inside of me...
He's my past and my future , he is what I was and what I will be...
As the endless sky will be my love..
Even if I had to die that won't be enough..
He's my soul that I can't share...
That is how far I do care..
I want us to be not two but one..
I want him to be my moon at the night and in the morning my sun..
So can you believe me my lovely stars ? Can you believe my heart?
Can you believe that he's the one who can heal my scares ? Can you feel his dart ?
Cause if you do my lovely stars then you will know that our love is true...
And that will mean that there's no more walls for us to break through...
And this is the end that I'll write...
It couldn't be wrong when I know it's right...

EYES WIDE OPEN
Eyes wide open, it's all so clear,
He was meant to find her here.
The stars, they seem to be aligned,
Messages, signs, she needs to find.
He knows for certain that I am she,
The path he's followed leads to me.
Never has love been felt so strong,
By the soul who's path he walks along.
Led to the North by a haunting song
He found his love but the timing was wrong.
How could this be he shouted to the stars
I’ve done what you asked, I’ve come so far.
With fear by his side and hope in his hand
He decided to stay, to take a stand.
Love conquers all he continues to say
Stars will fall but love never fades.
With a blinding pulse of light she awakens,
Her mind calculating the height of the stakes.
Her very nature: shelter others from pain,
Forbidding her to inflict hurt for her gain.
She feels the cries in the dead of the night,
From the soul with the Promise who's searching for light.
It would seem that Life has a twisted side,
"Sit in the seat, but you can't have a ride".
In the Now, all seems hazy...but out of the mist,
One day understanding will flood the altruist.

Others, that he was much too weak
Yet, they followed, blind as bats
Eyes wide open, kissing ass
Until he led them into the deep!

If love came knocking at your door
What would you do
Would you smile and invite her to come in
Or ignore the call
If love lifts you up direction sky
And you feel alive
Would you stop and question your heart why
Or give it a try
If love came walking through your door
What's for sure
You'll never ever be the same
If love came calling
Without the slightest warning
Would you turn 'round to love again
If love came warming
Like the sunshine to the morning
would you open heart's window panes...
With arms wide open

A little girl wishes were sought
Talking to her pup as she thought
He sits patiently, and observes
A pat on the back he deserves
Looking mysterious she fought
A little girl wishes were sought
Her wee heart started to bubble
Not knowing it might cause trouble
At the end of the road, she sought
Walking beside her pup she taught
A little girl wishes were sought
At the road's end, forget-could-not
Would there be naught, but little frowns
With sorrow silently slows downs
Wishes gratified for now fought
A little girl wishes were sought

The day you cut me wide open,
I bled tears from a hideous face
And pure prisoned blood from my sealed benevolent cocoon.
I was not as pitiable as pathetic purple onions,
So you wouldn't weep for me.
The ruffled white sheets mourned with still ripples,
For I was a cruel painter, who have painted her
With the colour of doom,
Red.
You troubled my secret sacred place with your ritual.
You were the herbalist who reared the fatal **********
With the beak of a razor.
And then,
You pierced me,
After idiocies of incantations.
I was gullible,
Because incantations are meant to be charmingly convincing.
And, perhaps,
It was much more than your words that lured me,
So I endured the pain,
Because pleasure is greater than pain,
The act of two, greater than one in disdain.
This once I was lain,
Was the day you cut me wide open.

Who wide open can spaces possibly be?
Will the end of them, I be able to see?
Heaven always has one wider than ours
Along with Pearly Gates and Ivory Towers.
Will water falls be in heaven and rivers that run?
Are stars there also and can be a bright sun?
How about a home like where I currently live?
Or collection plate and my money have to give?
"There will never be any comparison," God said
To heaven from earth escaped and have fled;
When anyone comes here first must be dead;
Glad you left all of your poems back to be read.

Go ahead!
Break me wide open
spread me out thin
Thin...as the dough beneath the well dusted rolling pin
Slender my edges and refine my rounded shape
push me away from you with each forceful roll
extend me
in our mutual exertion to define it
Yes...do straighten me slowly carefully gently lovingly...this time
as the white page spread beneath the 17th century palm in hopeful contemplation
Indeed serious intent born of the preciousness of the white page alone
Can you feel the writer catching his breath with which to begin
Yes I FEEL YOU catching yours just now
In brave... bravest planned intent
So... this time break me wide
But also.... then true
The confession after the lie that has lain between us for years in good stead
As the little perfect pale egg in your bowl on any given Saturday morning
with a single sudden tap
just a brisk strike
...spoken from bowed head and with averted eyes
that you will insist on bringing round to meet mine
Lest I find weakness in your delivery and once more deny you this
Go ahead...try to write out the final passages of this our tall and long tale
You may use an ink well if you wish and a quill
If it will add romance...ambiance
nuance
But first you will need to erase...the expression on your face when you last saw me for the first
Your face filled with the sudden sunlight of your own unencumbered sunrise breaking wide open
across your tired sky
at the first crest of my visage embrace
With pupils dilating and grin spread vista wide across yours only breathtaking gorgeous lined face
Go ahead mine truest love
Break me wide open for the sky
that I can love the world in perfection
Before I die

"If only God would take my grief and
gift me yesterday and tomorrows. "
Quote - by Constance
My heart, my heart and soul has been split wide open,
I go to graves in rows and rows;
wind blows and I carry a rose,
a letter to mom I compose;
and death watches from the shadows . . .
oh, I am lost in a vast sea of tombs ~
My heart, my heart and soul has been split wide open,
so many names engraved in stone;
oh, I still weep each decayed bone,
I hear their whispers groan and moan;
now, on this life journey I am alone . . .
oh, scars are the roadmap of my life ~
My heart, my heart and soul has been split wide open,
sweet pets have filled the empty space;
I give love and they kiss my face,
and my broken heart they embrace;
but, pets die to leave an empty place . . .
oh, death is a guest that came unbidden ~
My heart, my heart and soul has been split wide open,
I fight the grief and pain each day;
though feeling gray my smile is gay,
at night- I bow my head and pray;
but, grief mine to carry on life's pathway . . .
oh, my life is a garden ravaged ~

A chance encounter soon turned to love
Blossoming alike a flowering spring
That undulates moods of prairies green
Oscillating rhythms of tender winds
Amid trees-abloom, swaying revelry
And streams rushing to greet the sea.
They were blessed to find each other
Having just exited from a harsh winter
Of failed marriages and lovelorn yore
That gelid memories still fetch to fore
Even when ruminating of sunny shores.
Yet, they found love, resonating true
In lure of romance where passions woo
Growing with phases of waxing moon
Eager to find the words to their song
And vows of forever that last lifelong.
Alas! their journey faced fierce storms
When candles of love flickered in hearts
And blooms of today withered in past
As perturbed souls began drifting apart
Igniting a brawl between then and now.
The waxing moon soon started to wane
When gelid winter raised its ugly head,
And the thawed landscape froze again,
As welcome ceded, goodbyes reigned,
And wounds split-open ached of pain;
For love-song never found its rhythm
And tale of two-souls remained unwritten
As laments decried the split wide-open.

It is so interesting how differently humans perceive each other
Our perceptions are often at complete opposite ends
I see someone to avoid and stay well away from
You see a potential friend
You see a good, kind and caring person
I see a performance to persuade
You see decent human qualities
I see an empty charade
You see honesty and truth
I see a deliberate ,deceptive twist
You see an admirable human
I see a narcissist
It is so interesting how differently humans perceive each other!
