"If only God would take my grief and gift me yesterday and tomorrows. Dear Constace I feel the anxiety and deep Sense of loss.' Yet that would not be so Were the love of your mother not real' That's my offer of consolation limited Though it may well be.' And death is Just a disguised door if you belong to Christ, so be strong in Him, and be effective For Him; Is my advice, are you running a contest As I will try to find time to support you as You have often supported mine.'

Joe, thank you so much for your kind words, of course my mother and I shared a very strong bond and her death shattered me, but I do believe she is God's gentle gardener up in Heaven for she loved her garden so much, the door closed here on earth but another opened and she is waiting for me. Yes, I am running a contest that closes at the end of June, blessings ~Constance

The death of the one's we love can be devastating. I like to read John Donne's wonderful poem "Death be not Proud" It reminds me that death is a defeated foe so no matter what today I may feel, the victory is won. Well written piece.

Constance, your poem is exquisite, although sad and melancholy, it speaks to the heart and soul of everyone who is experiencing grief, recent or past. It spoke to my heart.

Heartfelt! My mom’s in an urn and it still is strange, different than a grave. I can’t comprehend… ~ hugs
