Whispering Colors

~

A soft yellow ember,
the sun is arising
Horizons remember
the smile on your face

Meadowlarks sing
as the morning approaches
The start of a new day
in hues to embrace

Rose petal heavens
with clouds painted cotton
Skies now are yawning
a sapphire glow

Apricot kisses
on dahlias blooming
With northerly breezes
of autumn a ‘flow

Tangerine ribbons
through branches still sleeping
Like stained glass illusions
in robin’s egg blue

Dawn has arrived
in kaleidoscope splendor
It’s colors now whisper
good morning to you

Premium Member Whispering Memories

Traveling through the doorway in my heart
I emerge
Gently closing it
I place my palms on the worn hinges of time
I lay my ear near its surface
As I let my lips hover close
Grazing the wood with a gentle kiss

I turn and walk down a few steps
The mist ~ the moisture ~ the fragrance
Of a million greens
Grass so tall and lush
Beckoning me

The ancient pines and redwoods
Towering above me on both sides
Whispering their secrets

I make my way
Stopping to press my nose
Against their soft bark...inhaling
Tickling my face
Bringing me back...back in time

I breathe in love
I breathe out gratitude

Opening my eyes, I see you in the distance
As shadow puppets dance and frolic
Upon rugged steep rock walls
The inner cave glows
The smell of mesquite
Rising sparks of pain and happiness
Leap from the flames

Your quiet silhouette calls to me
“Come little one...come”
I crouch down timidly at first
It is dark and I feel alone
In my nakedness
I slither along smooth stones
My belly brushing their surface

I make my way close to you
The fire alive with its dancing shadows
Sitting in silence
I gently embrace your blanketed form

You are me as an old woman
You are my lover
You are my friend
You are all of humanity

I kiss your weathered cheek
Tasting salty tears
Embracing you allows me to let go
To fully surrender to the moment

Hoo-hoo-hooooo
Crackle
Owls above
The sky illuminated through
The exposed top of the cave

Surrounded by whisps of fables and folklore
We rotate and spin
Slowly rising upward
Higher and higher
As ashes in the night

Reaching the lip of the cave
We are greeted by moonlight
Cold crisp air
A burst of light
As I spread feathered wings
Gliding towards treetops

My heart opens
My eyes open
I am here
To laugh ~ to cry
To give ~ to receive
To rejoice
To break bread with others
To love
Another day

Whispering To Me

And when the palm trees whisper,
                    they’re whispering for me
They surely know the secret
of how I can be free

Serenity, they whisper
                          they flutter in my ear
Reminding me of something
             perhaps, I’ve lost through fear

That life is meant for living
and love is all we need
That simply through my thinking
I’ll find that I am freed

No more the anxious worry
                        for what I can’t control
Instead, allow the heavens
                          to guide my very soul

When next I hear them whisper
when next I hear their song
I know I’ll be contented
                            and I will sing along

Dawn's Glory Is In Its Whispering Glow

Dawn's glory is in its whispering glow
its new hope and gifts in its golden beams
joy at waking to again see life's show
knowing oft comes a chance to life redeem.

We may recall, sound of rooster's first crow
dawn's message, its tender whispering voice
realize what little we truly know
about living, love and freedom of choice.

Rising, dare we ask what happiness gives
inquire do we with deeper kindness tread
stand true, knowing in this dark world life lives
oft waging great battles to get ahead.

As years, forward march in their steady flow
and morn continues to gift its sweet calls
shall we walk with pride, let our mercy grow
no matter what in life our soul befalls.

Dawn's glory is in its whispering glow
its new hope and gifts in its golden beams
joy at waking to again see life's show
knowing oft comes a chance to life redeem.

Premium Member Whispering Old Cemetery

I came across an old cemetery today while exploring,
     Full of broken, toppled headstones and tangled weeds;
There was a deep hush, a whisper and a sigh, I felt tears,
My tears were falling for long dead souls forgotten.

A tree's roots are entwined around an old, tilted stone,
     In loving memory of my husband George, born Feb, 1882;
Oh, George you were loved very much once upon a time,
God took him, but he will not be forgotten, engraved.

And I am of the age of Aquarius too, just like you,
    I love violets and everything purple, and I am so mellow;
Oh, George were you a deep thinker, sensitive, creative,
I get hurt easily and I always want to help people.

Be at peace George in your decay and ravaged grave,
     Listen to the twittering of birds this bright sunny day;
Promise, promise, I will be back to lay some purple violets,
Forever now, dear soul, you will dwell in my heart.

Now, be still George, I heard your whisper . . .

Premium Member Whispering Sunset

The hyacinth stood on the dusking rise,
cerulean the waters did traverse,
the reeds consenting daylight to the skies
as pewter stones recited lapis verse.

The burning pyres of sunlight floated west
untouched by orchid mountains in the mist,
the periwinkle shadows did invest
in rising to the lingering deep kiss

by weeping echoes trailing on the sea
of fire and mangoes in most vibrant past,
the lemon grasses lilting on the lea
and scented mornings in their pungent cast.

The shorebirds ceased their gospels upon sight
as glowing whispers vanished in the night.

Whispering My Thoughts

~

Cotton candy clouds adrift
upon these twilight autumn skies
Silently in colors formed,
taking breaths and casting sighs

Aglow, a moon of muted light
above these branches, rests in wait
Reaching o’er the final glimpse
of this hour getting late

Here I stare in wishful views
wondering on scattered winds
Shall this spell of moonlit phase
find you dreaming once again

A’ dance upon your waking heart
soft of light and chilled caress
Of these miles we stand apart
filled with hope and lone confess

Captured moments, sorted time
found entwined of this we see
As a fragile silhouette
wafting through so endlessly

Hear my voice, it calls your name
echoes of a promise true
Far beyond this stardust night
whispering my thoughts to you

Whispering To Be Heard

Whispering to be heard My lips touching your ear in the darkness of the night Your head rests upon my shoulder And sex never enters into it I love you that much As a part of everything I am Waves of light run back and forth be tween us Still and quiet there is no need for words But I whisper I love you anyway And with your eyes closed you begin to smile If I were a cat I'd be purring now Contented with who I am And thrilled by every blessing that comes through you to me To make us who we are as one

Oh, Whispering Willow

Oh, whispering willow…
please lend me your weeping branch,
so that I may always cling to you-
Head on my forgotten pillow,
falling in the starving avalanche,
me, pretending we're not through.

Oh, whispering willow…
please lend your weeping tissue-
My hungry thirst, will you quench?
Me, pretending not to love you.

Premium Member Whispering Wings

Whispering wings fluttering by -
purple and pink; orange and red.
Sapphire and green ones caught my eye
as they shimmered over my head.

Enchanted, I then ran behind
whispering wings fluttering by
and followed them, hoping to find
where they might go with twilight nigh.

Magically painting the sky,
they flitted too quickly away.
Whispering wings fluttering by
vanished into the waning day.

Beyond the horizon, then gone
like a dream was each butterfly -
a beautiful dream then withdrawn . . .
whispering wings fluttering by.

Premium Member Whispering, Trembling, Feelings

Listen to the beautiful
Lingering in the tender voices
Mingling with soup, potatoes, chunks
Light joy, garlicky seasonings
Inspiration falling, blending voices
Temptations burning
Away the darkness, the black yearnings

Remember the shadows
Blazing with hues of promises
Erasing the melancholy,
Voices alive with laughter
Smiles knowing the vibrant
Slow dance, a walk through graceful
Truth said…

Together we can tease the
Color from darkness,
Silence the star’s songs with
Wonders beyond our own imaginations,
Feelings breathless and warm,
Forming a memory in the heart,
The soul, conspiring with time to move
From the dark to the light,
Remembering only the breathless
Caress of morning’s sun

Shining on the heart, the smile –

Whispering, trembling, feelings

Bleeding through the dark, glistening
Like the edges of a kindness
Only known to the soul who hears
Hearts instead of voices,
Tears instead of ocean’s spraying
Beautiful in the promises
Made by those who sincerely pray
For humanity, for hope, for grace
For the love in eternal praise

Poetic Whispering Of Dark, Calamitous Decrees

Alas! Such as dark, as need to atone
              gashing curses of blackest dread,
cold in heartache as frozen stone,
is sad death of a love-life once bled!

Behold! Life once sailed forth all alone
              with its shadows creeping behind,
my how- deep miseries hath grown,
into iron chains that so firmly bind!

Aghast! I enter brilliant light now shone
               stand at eternity's first door,
where hath divine mercy now flown,
as I beg for forgiveness and much more!

Lo! Why cometh this low grievous tone
               voiced in most damning decrees,
that black shall eat my dying bones,
as dark desires hath so well damned me!

Vague traces of mystic embraces,
Soft candlelight mirrors our faces.
The sounds of the waterfall as limitless
As our heated caresses.
Whisper, another time, you love me in my ear,
Your words rising to the to windy, starlit spaces.
Come, join us in celebration,
Hearts waltzing in rhythmic palpitations.
Breathtaking you, breathtaking me.
Blessed by God~ lovers forever to be.

The Whispering Moon

Whispering,
the glistening moon calls to me
Softly caressing my worn out soul
Sleepy in it's quest
to slip by
silently, unheard
Feeling my restless light,
enticing me
Hear the whispering night
softly alluring
lulling sweetly, it's gentle glow
Burdened thoughts surrender
calmly, silently go
Abyss of darkness, creeps
faintly drifting in
Hush my withered soul
soothe my being

A whisper
distantly touching my spirit
gently, peacefully taken.
The whispering moon
quietly embraces me
unheard, at peace
I am.
Silence.
