The Verdict

Skittles and a soda
against a gun in its holster?

One day that scream
will be known as a teen
not a heinous lying Fein

What a sinister ploy and twist
with a loaded gun and no fist?

Had everyone sitting and waiting
doomed by a verdict just delaying

Was this just an optical illusion
or, a devious planned conclusion?

Now, this generation too afraid
wearing hoodies will get you dead

But, the Klan was still glad
hoodies they've always had

A verdict they too saw,
ushering in martial law

Premium Member The Guilty Verdict Attacks Rightly So

You have a choice of an opinion as do I
wisely taken one would rather be a child than a fool
lowering the bar with sub standards

This name calling is the challenging as if to alter my mind set
casting truth to one side to justify an argument lets spin
in calling me ignorant my ignorance will be your wisdom

In the future facts lets explain they are just an opinion to you
thank God I can see past fiction based brainwashing
that cannot see casualties as victims of this sin being promoted
prophet before profit if one remembers correctly worded to suit
where you have made a mockery of my intelligence

Verdict: Condemned

Not feeling guilty,
but with attitudes of a king

Not feeling guilty,
but thinking he's a golden ring

Not feeling guilty,
I see his tail

Not feeling guilty,
he deserves jail.

The Verdict Is In

Troubled Times of Turmoil
Coming back around again
Curses; always foiled!
My agonized and worried Brain!

Like an Army of Needles-
Poking; prodding!
As Agents of Evil,
Laughing; applauding!

Stabbing every inch of me-
Tear my flesh; scar my Soul
Cannot run; cannot flee!
Leave me raw; leave me exposed!

Find me G-U-I-L-T-Y
Mind is F-I-L-T-H-Y
Kill me Q-U-I-C-K-L-Y

Verdict

There was a kingdom,
The people wise,
They told the king,
Enough twice!

Let Fate Render A Verdict So Fair

Let God judge such past wicked ways
cast stale food from dirty trays
So much molded bread happily ate
a leper in a rich famishing fate

Let this Soul eat out of its heart
pray love and spirit never part
To many deeds born of living hell
some so bad one shall never tell

Let this Life venture a fine course
 consider deep regrets and source
To little care embraced in youth
 memories steeped in wishful truth

Let Fate render a verdict so fair
Pray love gifts a verdict to share

Electioneering: Preliminary Trial, Postmortem Verdict

Gilded pols with verbal jousts disarm
With statistical ballasts constituents charm
On opponents deceptive feints, sound the alarm
Scout for votes in city, dale, and farm

Broker deals that bolster their position
Deceptive adds initiate their political inquisition
Bribe voters of every walk and station
Recount votes with cunning derision

Conveniently forget every token promise
Accept all gratuities without malice
With honey and wine, fill every lobbyist chalice
Satiate ego with fatuous, frivolous dalliance

Canvas of Verdict

Bright
sunlit
angels call
forth in a dream
there is no escape from the light of God

He paints dreams on his canvas of verdict
never once flawed
or disturbed

Dark

Premium Member Valentines Verdict

they fall into my lap, unresistant.
chocolate, the size of a silver dollar.

sensation of mint betwixt my fingers.
I bite into each one, its cool breath

second to none. Godiva
ceased production of these tongue trinkets.

love pales with petals and Russell Stover…

my husband and I hold hands,
press our temples together and sigh

with the sprightly rush of memory.

Mrs. Field’s fresh Cookies a close second
especially tasty at Fisherman’s Wharf.

still I gladly accept tulips in a väse,
its life-giving water, and caramel dreams.

my heartthrob beams awaiting the verdict —
it’s Valentine’s Day. he’s pretty sure I am his.

holding daisy by the stem —
she loves me, she loves me not

just to be sure, he’s counted each petal beforehand.
eleven flowers on the floor — for pity sake.

Not Guilty Vol Iii the Verdict

After the closing arguments I'm still hearing arguments
everybody got an opinion on my legal decision, but if you wasn't
in my shoes what gives you the right to tell me what I should do,
it's true I didn't really love her as Christ loved the church so I
guess I bent the rules and I guess that's a sin and I'll take that,
but there's stuff that she did that you can't take back, and I forgave
that but I'll never forget, it's crazy how all these chicks is now
coming to her defense and I won't name names, but how can
you defend her actions she did her dirt I left she's now an ex
wife Yeah that's past tensed, plus she's a deadbeat three years
and counting and this the one y'all defending, bring in the
accounting any other country she would've got a death sentence,
but let make me this clear I ain't taking shots at her, I just know
she torched her bridges and I reached my tether, we are not the same
no matter how many times she told me she changed who looks
back anyway when you moving forward in your lane, so
nevermind the pain I'm over it question is can y'all get over this
is their a hurdle or something, enough is enough what I produce
is production, I was pursuing love she wanted that sexual
eruption, so everyone that's jumping on her band wagon I'm
sure y'all think she deserves it, but I'm done point blank period
and this here is the verdict.

I stood before the judge
who was now wearing a black cloth on top of his head
He asked the jury for their decision
The foreman stood up and uttered…

"Guilty of first-degree murder"

The judge looked me directly in the eye and said,
"Last time we met I told you to bury the hatchet"

"I did your honour…
but you didn’t say it wasn’t to be in her head!"

Verdict On the Other Side

The time bomb,
Has a lens cap,
Fingers gripping the other end,
Focused in on the verdict,
Scoping out the pinpoint,
The fast pace has the iris zoned,
The hours add on,
Distant but closely watched,
The figure becomes slower,
Grazing the seconds to linger,
Hearing my breath,
Taking my olive eyes away,
As I sink down in the chair,
The agony kills,
With dark red,
An observation,
Frozen in my footsteps,
Do I walk away?
Or become the victim.

Verdict For Szymborska-Lot's Wife

Even though you had some reasons
to see who checked your backs
Stone-
Against God executed orders
Stone-
Why didn't you hold Lot's hand?
Stone-
Why didn't you throw your sandal-
Whose wrap you trie to tie?
stone-
And hung on Lot's shoulders?
Imagine-
Staring at Your husband's neck
The neck-
Which you've touched all along
Imagine-
Romancing before a blaze!
Rock-
God's mind never changes
Stone-
Your bundle, distance the Torpor
Setting the bundle down and curiosity
All-
Lame excuses before nervous Conditions
Stone-
Serpents spiders field mice baby vultures
That-
Chose your lot as the champions
Stone-
Creeping and hoping the evil black
No evil no good but the devil's ark
Stone-
Lot there to share your thoughts
But-
You stopped keeping your mother-
Inside the heart-Two daughters
Stone-
Involuntary turn with reasons-
Argument on behalf of mothers-
No-
Present our sober seasons
Stone-
There was no rock you're one
For the-
Hard to listen difficult to honour
The Rock-
No excuse you chose the City-
You fell inspecting the sour
A hillock-
No, no. You remained in pity,
Seeing your own damages
Stone-
With your eyes wide open-
To receive the backup darkness
No struggle God feted silence
Stone-
That you turned around and around
No-
For God's wrath a perfect lot-
No man struggled against
Even your Lot.
You never danced ewe no see
Stone-
You expressed depress for-
The motherless generations.
