In the forrest of people
I am the Chunky tree
with long roots.
I communicate under ground-
I have curves an
I lift my face
and my hands
to the heavens,
The surrounding
trees are
slim and beautiful
yet unwavering
Still I am not
eager to become
just another
tree in the woods.
I dance seductively
when the wind blows
I bow and bend
my bough proudly
I reverence the
gusty wind.
Submission is the
only survival I know.

There isn't a day my heart doesn't skip a beat.
My love for you is unyielding.
A kiss with your name.
A gift of an angel.
There isn't a month my love doesn't grow for you.
My lust for you is unyielding.
Holding you close to me.
Love in my arms.
There isn't a year I can't get closer to you.
My longing for you is unyielding.
Thinking of you always.
A picture of heaven.
There isn't a lifetime long enough.
My marriage to you is unyielding.
Ever lasting love.
Forever with you.

Sexism was chasing a
gibbous moon whole night.
I ask the virtuous dark,
will you be a hangman ?
Targeted love was a bliss
for a dying man. You need
to walk on a fine line to
attain the liberation.
Despite the coveted prize,
killing was more convenient.
There hangs a tale, you
cannot play the tune again.
Without the hyphen, the
other side becomes blue.
A belief starts the tremors
in the sleeves of a headless moon.

Summer storm’s rampage
Disfigured the brilliant foliage
Making the green lush disruptive,
That was once attractive.
The most pleasant and serene site,
Mutated in to poor and ugly sight
Despite all the worst,
Standing mightily amidst,
Stanchion and stern,
Like a champion.
A tough one, straight
And crocodile –barked,
The replica of unyielding spirit,
Taking charge of revamping Nature’s bright.

The rose petals color drained,
as my eyes tearfully pained,
over how I failed to maintain
A bed worthy of thorns contained
No gardens lush, where beauty bloomed,
Unyielding, lost, my dark heart entombed,
Each fragrant breath, putrids perfumed,
Now, just whisps of a florist doomed
The dry thorns, razor sharp, a warning strong,
Guard deadly blooms where love doesn't belong,
In my haste, I wrought the bouquet wrong,
and watched as life was reaped, swiftly by the throng
With every year, a memory fades,
Of sunlight's kiss in gentle glades,
Can roots revive in shaded trades,
Or will we mourn what time evades?
Oh, teach me how to plant anew,
With tender hands, a heart that's true,
To grow of the earth in a vibrant hue,
and cherish thorns whose sting l never knew
In every bud, a tale very few conceive,
Of broken dreams, of hearts that grieve,
For the Rose, it speaks of love's reprieve,
In petals, soft, dare we believe.

Unyielding is characterized by firmness
and a lack of softness or flexibility.
Not giving in.
Never Quit Or Are Unyielding
Another question we had started fielding;
If they will never quit or are unyielding,
Mind wonder;
Spell under;
Could be a character that is unwielding.

Limerick
It's 5:30 AM, sky bruised and quiet,
And he’s there at my feet, my loyal companion,
Eyes bright, no judgment, just need.
Out we go, one steady step, then another,
Field sprawled wide, we chase the edges of dawn.
Back home, the soft hum of her breathing,
Kids' backpacks lined, the day pulls at me
Like a string too tight, ready to snap.
She’ll mention Kirsty or Chanelle, that sour glance,
The unseen weight settling deep in my chest.
Dog's been sick on the sofa,
a mess to clean up.
Gaffer’s on edge; I was late last week,
Late again today, but I hold tight, keep my mouth shut,
Because I know my place in this ticking machine,
My hands on the wheel, the weight on my back.
Site hazards, the grind, every move a risk,
One wrong turn, it’s out the door,
No job, no check, holiday slipping away,
Kids’ smiles are just dreams I’m not sure I can keep.
And here I stand, silent, loaded with fear,
Shoulders set to hold all we need.
The night job was gone in a flash,
Zero hours, zero thought, zero hope.
I glance at my phone, every message a pull
To face the ones I’ve not seen in too long,
Mates left waiting in the empty hours
While I traded my joy for duty’s hard call.
Fuel’s low, spirits cracked,
And there she is, our little girl,
Waiting to dance with a smile I missed.
I sit here, empty tank, empty hands,
Wondering if I’ll break, if I’ll bend or stay still,
When the phone rings, it’s him, my friend,
The voice I forgot could ease this weight.
With words of work, a hand held out,
A site to supervise, steady pay on the rise,
I take his offer, grip tight to his faith.
And in his strength, I feel my own,
A quiet reminder that I am not alone.
So I go home, kiss foreheads soft,
Tell her I’m sorry for what I can’t always say.
My battle is quiet, a shadow I bear,
So they don’t know the scars I wear,
So they don’t feel the tremor beneath,
The moments I wrestle, the pain I hide.
Because I am here for them always.
A silent Atlas, strength worn down,
But still, I carry the world, weight and all.
And tomorrow, I’ll wake with dawn’s bruised sky,
Dog by my side, loyalty unasked but given.
And I’ll breathe, keep walking, one step, then the next,
Knowing that love is the light I keep,
And for them, I’ll rise, I’ll stand, I’ll protect.

Agnevee was particular and pertinacious.
People avoided her on the street.
She always had a cause, a candidate, a platform, a drive or a charity to talk up.
Agnevee’s pertinacity was well-known. She would not budge from any position.
It was laughable, silly, deemed crazy.
Her own relatives gave her the wrong time so she would be an hour late.
Agnevee’s neighbors cringed when they saw her come to her window.
They got in their cars and drove off when they saw her through her front door.
When she entered a store, utility company or post office, people scattered.
Conversations quickly dissipated, ceased, and were not resumed
upon Agnevee’s arrival. She had one friend, Bella, and she asked her about it.
Bella was new in town, and had no idea what was happening.
But the longer Bella and Agnevee were friends, the easier it was for Bella
to see what the trouble is. If she said brown, Agnevee corrected her, and called it copper.
If she said something nice about a candidate, Agnevee handed her pamphlets disparaging her.
Her fervent opinions were so deeply rooted, that she soon was not welcome
in Bella’s home either. So she wandered around, in her own nightmare, of her own making,
waiting for the next newcomer to move to town.

Narrative
Her silence was her silent grieve,
A veil that few could ever perceive,
But deep within, a fire burned,
A fighter's spirit, undeterred and unturned.
She was no weak soul, as they thought,
A woman with courage, battle fought,
Resilient, bold, and strong at heart,
A woman king, who'd never depart.
In her soul, a fire burning bright,
She will rise from the ashes, take her rightful flight,
A woman of strength, of power, and grace,
In her journey, she will find her rightful place.
Though, darkness may assail,
She will stand tall and strong, her spirit shall prevail.
For she's a woman, a king deep within her core,
Unyielding, unbroken, forever she will soar.

Wind blown
Tangled
Locked
I begin
A commencing song
Beloved your presence
Alone, my death....
[]
Extending
Climbing
Rising high
Falling
Plummeting
A destined dream
Denied
Muted
Willing
An attempt
A sigh
Wandering
Subdued
A curious eye
Hushed
Blinded
Bound
Unseen
To capture
A moment
Young
Free
A maze
A Labyrinth
A key
A clue
Misplaced
Interpreted
Desiring
Proof
I crave
She turns
I call her name
A memory
Vacant
A long lost day

Would it be best if I just went away?
Never again see the light of day,
You said you hated me,
Do you even know what those words did to me?
I curled up in a ball and withered away,
Not even listening to what mother would say,
She would cry out I don't want to lose my baby,
She saw my cold, distant eyes and knew she had already,
My mother never again knew paradise,
No one could help her not even Jesus Christ,
Maybe if you had not chosen to say the words you said,
I probably wouldn’t be here on my death bed,
Now my whole family feels my pain,
What is this is this you’re little game,
Once my family's pain and suffering is over,
I will lay down my weapons and lend them my clover,
Who knows now where my spirit will go,
No one but Jesus and God will know,
Maybe I will go up,up,up and beyond,
Trying to patch up my severed bond,
But if I go down,down,down,
I must hope to drown,
Because there the Devil's Chamber lay,
Every soul hopes to get out, but none get away,
Now you must hope you don't end up like me,
Go ahead think that you are free,
Go on spend all your lousy time,
Waste all your money until you don't have a dime,
When you have lost everything and you have past,
I will be back quick and very fast,
You will see me at your gate,
Now I welcome you to your gruesome fate,
You ask me why am I here,
I say did you think I would just disappear,
A second passed and I shoved you in your door,
You’re screaming Dear God I can't take anymore,
Now you will suffer and feel mine and everyone's pain,
I am off to get on my afterlife train,
Who knows I might stay here on Earth,
After all I have been rebirthed,
Now my heart is set at ease,
Time is no more at a freeze,
Now my family can move on,
Because that monstrous person is forever gone!

Drowned in the sea of my troubles,
I'm reaching for a breath,
Stifled by the weight of my perplexities,
I'm moving to where the light splits,
Up and up I go,
Pushing my way through,
Wiggling my way past,
I'm losing my breath in the fight,
My strength is ebbing away,
I have died a million times,
The stump still held firm to the ground,
I live to see a new day,
I live to fight again.
