Best Unsatisfactory Poems

Premium Member An Early Experiment

The mirror reflects, obliquely,
a peculiar yellow butterfly -- it flutters, flutters
the specks of black my beard is made of
on the breeze. A daffodil hangs down its treasure
and I spread shaving cream, in great white puffs,
shielding from the windy noise its yellow
across my face. The nose protrudes, ridiculous
excrescence. A leaf half green sweeps up in circles
in the whiteness all around. A weak chin, think I,
of windy sighs. Squirrels crack acorns, crunching,
down into a patchy neck. Very unsatisfactory
remembering winter's almost famine. The trees --
appearance. Altogether so. Oh well.
Quiet. Steady. Sturdy. Oh well.
The mirror reflects, but not uniquely.

Premium Member Look Up If You Dare

INSPIRED BY THE FILM
        DON’T LOOK UP

Humanity has become oblivious, ignorant to an inevitable lightening quick catastrophe,
Politicians and the rich and famous are known for their eccentric outrageous audacity,
Nobody has anything nice to say to anyone, anywhere, so totally unsatisfactory,
Each human being doing their own thing like ants, on a mission no more philanthropy.

Scientists work around the clock to save our planet Earth, animals and humanity,
Drugs consumed for fun, medication abused, both lowered humans’ immunity
A pandemic revolved around our globe, thus millions suffered and died, internationally
Scientist who study our galaxy, predict a life threatening event to happen imminently affecting us globally.

Don’t human beings realize that a comet might be coming to town and our planet will be extinct, dive
Into oblivion, the rich and famous will live, it is the poor, the hungry that Humanity will deprive,
The opulent and their money think they can extend their life, and thus forever and ever stay alive,
Build a rocket with capsules for themselves, animated in time, in which they stupidly hope to survive.

Wow, presume encapsulating oneself in time, a rocket in space comes true, and nobody fries,
Arising from the dead metaphorically in 20900 returning to earth, finding things have changed, surprise,
Surprise, no humans inhabit Planet Earth anymore, what will they meet, perhaps their demise,
The Chinese saying, may your wishes come true, actually a curse, hope you have said your goodbyes.

Crackened

I have just scratched the surface of my latent hatred
Of my blind, awe-inspiring, narcissistic, misanthropic, vehement self
In Flames draws it
As, I believe, Nightwish will
There is so much power here, my heart is stone.
But inside, oh how is it acerbic!
Corrosive, burning
It burns! I feel… the burn

It yearns to burst out
To… to kill
Do I mean that?
No, just thoughts.
Twisted, darkened thought.
Define me?
No, they do not.
The moment I turn this music off
I am out.
I am me.
But, right now, I am king.
A god, DO AS I SAY!
…and leave me be.
Desolate, forgotten.
Anything else is unsatisfactory
No… IT IS TORTURE.

So get away.
Get away!
Humans make me weak.
I acknowledge no pain,
only that which you give me

So leave!
Go, go now!
...and live.
It is all your fault,
it is all your fault!
My twisted, wretched existence
Bound by darkness,
Bound by rusted iron chains,
to this never-ending life
of pain, of misery, of anguish!
Escape? There is none.
Certainly not by your hand
You are foolish, you are human, and you are nothing.

How could you think us equals?
Don’t you see me?
Don’t you see my power?

Dickensian Dactyl

Squickleby Pickleby
Nicholas Nickleby
loses his Father and
feels quite forlorn.

Ralph his tight uncle a
disciplinarian
mean to the marrow
regards him with scorn.

Nicholas, penniless
uncompromisingly
works as a master where
boys take the flack.

Nickleby fears for the
safety of orphans there
rescues a cripple and
never looks back.

Granted this ending is
unsatisfactory
Dickens had plenty more
meat to this tale.

So to all readers I
send my apologies;
These double dactyls are
tricky travail.

This Is My Life

I have my brother hurting me
I have my sister hurting me

I have my love hurting me
I have my dream hurting me

I have my heart far away calling me
I have the pain deep inside destroying me

I have my words explaining me
I have my tears washing me

I have trumpet in the morning awakening me
I have lover far away singing for me

I have the compass at dark pointing for me
I have the tornado tearing pieces of me

I have the crying in the lonely walk of me

I have sunshine shining every piece of me

I have the ancient unsatisfactory bothered me
I have the wondering wolf in the wild of me

I have shaken hands with every sunset of me
I have the stars falling to my heart at the night of me

I have the blood splash when you destroying me
I have the kindest words when you say love me

I'd appreciate if someone correct the sentence as I'm new in English poem.

Premium Member The Tangled Web

The Tangled Web

Lines on her face grew deeper when fabrications were conceived
When further contradictions came, she knew not what to believe
Caught in a lie I’d be sent to my room; there’d be no reprieve
Mom said, "A tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive”

My boyfriend had no license yet; we wanted to double date
To get my mom’s permission, a lie I had to perpetrate
Claimed the driver was my boyfriend’s brother to mom’s fears abate
This was the first strand in a tangled web I chose to create

When the invitation to his wedding came, mom was irate
The “driver” had another last name, more lies I did inflate
“They have the same mom, just different dads,” but this did not equate
She’d met his Catholic parents; divorce was against our mandate

“His older brother’s father died.” This made my mom a skeptic
I wish mom would have washed my mouth out with an antiseptic
For now the web that hovered above had grown so very thick
Mom was on to me for sure, so she devised a clever trick

At mass my mom asked his where her first husband had been buried
How quickly she responded, “I’ve never before been married.”
For two years these lies had grown, and so much guilt I had carried
This snowball led me to declare I’d never again mislead

Though the truth may bring results that are unsatisfactory
You won’t be covered by webs built of story upon story
And when the truth prevails, you won’t see eyes accusatory
Or spend your teen years in a room filled with falsehoods’ armory

Way To Great India

Let's change India the way we need,
Let's make a Great India so that others praise our deeds;
Stop discrimination between the ruling and opponent one,
Time for us to have a new India born;
Our forefathers may not be happy with us,
Is it the same India they dreamed in their years?
Who say the Constitution follow equality,
Opportunity to source one,corrupt one who can sell their nationality;
Riches are more respected than who are honest,
The nature of numbness to injustice where resides the best;
Where corporate-politician nexus aim to make people poor,
Where religion is used as medium of income by money-makers;
A nation which was the country of trade, agriculture, traditions and culture,
A nation which is the country of poverty,corruption and nonsense vultures;
Is this the scenario viewed by Bhagat Singh,Bose,Azad and Patel?
Where judiciary and ordinances every now and then fails;
Is this the country shaped by Ashok and Akbar the Great?
Where mediocre s and appointed delegates compels the citizens to have their
works wait;
Complains are made by weaker,
Let we the complaint-makers rise up and work forever;
Work forever to make India economically stable,
Work forever to rise up India from poverty liner;
Educate India to bring new talents from everywhere,
Inspire India to innovate ventures for one-on-one fight with international level;
Make a secular India as religion never teaches bad things to us,
Religion's guidance make people not to be barbarous;
Stop the tears of ancestors who worked hard to make a good India,
Carry on their qualities and pass it with more good qualities to next India;
Celebrate Diwali to wish for presence of Goddess Laxmi in the family,
Wishing money and getting it illegally will be life of unsatisfactory and guilty;
Celebrate Dussehra wishing to have good nature,
Wishing a life of richness will bring a future filled with nothing but failure;
Start from today as it's now or never,
Imaging a Glorified India whose stories will be told forever.

7-Colours

7-COLOURS
It was in the cloudy and dewy morning
Pulling across the wet trees
Lonely but needed no one.7 rivers swam
7 roads carefully crossed
Yet my rainbow unfound

Horns loudly sounded
The bell ringing loudly

Having walked immeasurable miles

With the degrees unbeatable

7 days, 7 weeks and still counting

Thinking she will be there

Waiting impatiently to be taken

Yet my rainbow unfound

In darkest hour and daylight

Summer comes , winters visits

Across the continent, within the planet earth

Bring them out for my pleasure

The sightseeing more than adventure

Scrutiny! Criticism!

Against racism!

Yet none is found worthy

Out of the black, among the white
Pleasant sight but mind, unsatisfactory
Searching for beauty or good habit
Nice outfit but qualities not befitting
Give me 7 stars to shine
7 moons for honeymoon
Give me few lengthy 7 hours
My mouth will still ulter
Yet my rainbow unfound

Depressed or ecstatic I'm at sea
Racing round the universe in honesty
Lust found but love found wanting
Give me a lady with a gentle mind
Don't wanna meet her in a party
Nor in a carnival but a quiet place
Let her appear to me in 7 colours
In the 7 colours of a rainbow

Weird I may seem
Unreasonable all my imaginations may be
But when this piece is read among the ladies
The one that decipher the codes of 7 colours
Such is worthy to be my rainbow
And I, will be her heroe.

The inspiration from the separation of "white" scientifically separated to 7 colours - the ROYGBIV
White denotes " peace and purity"

So let her come to me in 7-colours of a rainbow....come to me in white...bring to me " peace and purity"

Politics and Politicians

Politics are like long excruciating
Unsatisfactory sexual experience,
Politician the lad equipped
With the tiniest tool
Crowing as sex goddess,
Polls the bed covered with roses
Candles lit all around it
Sadly underprivileged beings
Being orgasmic sanguine woman.

Situations of such nature,
Pleasure is absolutely unattainable
Emotional crisis is bound to be catastrophic.

Don’t be convoluted by these convulsive
Cosmetic counterfeit promises political parties
Formulate in order to fornicate you for your ballot
Once satisfied vanish leaving you bitterly impoverished
Only to see you half decade later.

Elected Rejected

Discrediting plausibility
by shredding their humility
to a place of vulnerability
devoured by inabilities
cowardice incompetence
showered into consciousness
empowered causing confidence
validation found in compliments
a false sense of accomplishment
resort to intense punishment
to knock down their competitors
who speak of truth not metaphors
that could reverse their actual course
see them falling through floorboards
far from craved credited applause
a status low as though blackballed
on salaries always needing more
survival gifting no rewards
a personality to be ignored
social skills which leave them bored
testing humans to their core
needing a win but cannot score
electrical without a cord
no plug socket or power source
as management you were assured
entitlement had power stored
defensive walls they reinforced
the canon fire rains then pours
constant drainage of resource
when liars reign without remorse
demonstrate through acts of war
axing allies no friends of yours
switching sides ending support
backtracking and invasions fall
forward thinking backward thoughts
two faced fronts fights are fought
defend positions within the fort
saving supply routes to the port
lowered standards poor results
lose respect face the onslaught
enclosing can’t escape assaults
laced with disgrace of dense insults
unsatisfactory falling short
the cost of power steeply soars
run out of bullets fight with swords
sticks and stones not canon balls
back to basics of infant schools
learning how the mighty fall
turns out you might be a fool
from the authority you adore
to unemployed and lost it all
from big and powerful to small
once important not anymore
once arrogant above the law
apparently now unloveable
a tyrant silenced by rivals
the outlaw downfall locked indoors
freedom within the prison walls
abusing boundaries horribly
so far beyond authority
explicitly and vicously
fully of inefficiency
faults and inability
soulless animosity
dethroned without the sovereignty
lost lonely in unpopularity.

Dodecahedron Dining

The didactic duty of a hairbrush is to skim stones at toll gates. But harmonising at a concert of trumpeting elephants is just not audible and therefore unsatisfactory to an inner ear. Peace sign then. Emblematic embroidered embryonic events. Good. A tidal flow is a force field for atomic injestion whilst a wheel whirs. Ignorance is a slug whose portly face is glazed in a stare of a sloth. Capricious and captivating to horse faces with many many bags. Wow. How amazing it is. Simply astonishing really. Aromatherapy of a plant base. Great. Trying taking training teaming tampering trampling trafficking traders. And a large hundred foot daisy with a huge welcoming smile. Hugs from the leaves. Hahahaha and a small darting basin. Xxxx dodecahedron z

Second Amendment and Child Like Behaviour

Second Amendment and Child Like Behaviour

Suppose a red rose we should start to see
Reminding all those there of you and me
And such a short life together we did live
Total devotion to each other we would give.

AR-15 rifle is being raffled off by someone
Both automatic rifle and an assault gun
For conflicts and wars was only designed
Police and/or military operations combined.

In hunting by civilians was never meant for
Shooting of animals, coyotes or wild boar
National Guard local files check (LFC) you need
And how weapons chamber to properly feed.

Why would you want to give or sell a weapon
And each and every rule always be excepting
If you had unsatisfactory behavior incorrect
Sell any weapon to them should not select.

South does have a old flag great and grand
But why do they live in la la and fantasyland
Rules and regulations do destroy or distort
No wonder weapons holders win in any court.

Second Amendment sure is such a big issue
All Republicans and NRA will have to ensue
Need Democrats to be our protector and savior
Defend us from confusion and child like behavior.

Premium Member Dangerous Understanding of Woes

The brutality in American PRISONS IS UNDENIABLY UNJUST AND UNBELIEVABLY
UNCONSTITUTIONAL
Which is truly unbalanced with police brutality in PUBLIC.
I DO not for the SAKE OF MAN, FULLY UNDERSTAND,
The situation as it becomes more unbearable, unfair, UNMISTAKABLY DAMAGING.

I DO NOT condone any situation that puts the public in jeopardy.
Where a human being is slammed to the pavement repeatedly. This is a good
Example of insensitivity toward the civilian population. UNDERSTANDABLY,
UNDESIRABLE, UNSATISFACTORY attitudes will cause instability of SOCIETY as
A whole.

The FOUNDATION must not continue to be unstable. There's that
Something's wrong SONG. Well, it has been mentioned that this high
Level of BRUTALITY, both in prison and society (public) with arresting
Officers, is intolerable. There exist dANGEROUS AND UNDESERVING
USE Of excessive FORCE and presently UNCONTROLLED.

THIS could be detrimental deteriorating into a system of a TOTALLY
Transformed society. Where everyone resides in PRISON. THE
Innosent and the GUILTY.

A VERY UNACCEPTABLE FUTURE.
A TOTALLY TRANSFORMED SOCIETY

Corona's Shade

Reigned umbrage conceived life to a secluded delusion
The situation festered into a round compact mass as the earth
Dark clouds float above the rival
Summery heads leased
Accompanied by a vengeful Fall
Her Isolated abode insulated stark Wintery
Tensions penumbra loured my imperfections
Her ray of furtive refuged the rear of the situation

My unsatisfactory blots out her vibrant core
Just like a spring tide my thoughts pulled me back and forth deeply
Sullen skies intermittently glazed the noon tide
decorated with gray clothed clouds
I smelt my skin burning her eyes glaring against my back
My thoughts browse the situation for a solution as an umbra cyclops the earth
'You have me searching into the situation, but that's not where I'll find the problem, is it'?

Her peers on earth stand in awe of her immaculate corona
Clueless to the damage to their sight the beauty bemused
She notices their eccentric eyes yet conspiring doubt tarnished like a new moon
Tears roll down the heel of her cheek but they see a shooting star
