no windows, door's locked
more than a prisoner stocked.

Why are our minds slaves to money? Shiny phones, lots of gold and large amounts of dough,
automobiles and garments. Singing deep in our souls “I want the money, cars and the
clothes”. Wishing for the day when cash is sent there way, I believe most people would call
that one of there, most happiest days.

But without wealth you’re wedged by the limitations of your environment which you breathe
and the lack of resources in your neighbourhood. Money has a lot of power in this world.
Which we are slaves to.

It's tough
I say it is, by experience
I be good for a day, then the next day
I am sick of not getting no sleep
I would be mentally weak
It's tough
Not having money when u really need it
The car done broke down
You had money the week before
But it's gone cause u done already spent it
It's tough
When that man u thought loved u
Really don't
How do I know, I guess u thought
My lucky day, he got caught
Some of everything done happen to me
Bad luck, I guess u would say
It's tough
This I can trust
its stalks the best of us
picks off the rest of us
one by one
we fall by the way
Some of us run from it
some embrace the thing
but one by one
we fall day by day
there are those that fear it
and those that seek for it
and one by one
they all will meet with it
A few will try to hide
will dedicate their lives
but one by one
it finds them
No money can save you
No power protect you
one by one
we all go the same way
don't waste time on fear
seeking money or power
one by one
we should enjoy each passing day
This thing we cannot affect
with deeds, words or dreams
one by one
death finds us all
Watch for Pickpockets
By Elton Camp
The prospect of a trip to the Big Easy
Made me more than a little queasy
I’d had visited in New Orleans before
And now the danger was even more
It was because of the unease that I felt
I put wallet away & used a money belt
It was into a crowded café I did slip
While waiting I felt a hand on my hip
Because I am quite old, fat and bald
I didn’t think it meant a gay did call
My empty pocket took him by surprise
As I could tell by the look in his eyes
Through the crowd he made a mad dash
I decided I wouldn’t do anything rash
Since any of my money he failed to get
I decided why should I now have a fit
But if New Orleans doesn’t control crime
To draw tourists they’ll have a hard time
But how much judgment can there be
In a city built below the level of the sea
