"This is dedicated to all who understand this. Whether we like it or not." -D.J.E.
I wasn’t gonna write this
But
Emotions are stirring high
Cannot believe
How much time has passed
Still feel your presence
Memories
Of the slowest death
Ever felt
Running parallel
To these present seconds
An ugly revelation
Tainted the sunshine
That bared on our souls
So many tears
Had filled the ocean
Of despair
For love’s river
Were held back by presumption’s walls
Uncertainty
The dam’s of what could have been
Here I stand
In this present moment
Your essence still lingers
Like the flakes of a dandelion b r e a k i n g f r e e
From its home
Tormented echoes of “why”
“How come”
“Please don’t go”
“I love you…I love you so much”
High pitched resonations
Float upon
Rafts of secondary importance
And yet
This heart still knows
For it will always recall
Its truth
Promises
Empty
Played me a fool
While you held hands
With inevitable
Crossing fingers
With diffusion
Across my shoulders
Left me uncomfortably numb
All my rights
Unreserved
And all the while
I
Simply
Believed
In tomorrow
Because
My foolish hopes
Continued to warp my mind
Maybe if I didn’t look back when you walked away
Like the rules said…
…No matter.
These soft acoustic riffs
Replay in my head
You were my “Wonderwall”
“You could’ve been the one…to save me”
But I overcame
For I
Saved myself
Didn’t want to be an inconvenience for you
Colors of Fall
Your favorite season
Kinda ironic
You were like Summer & Winter
Knew when to turn up the heat
Make me sweat
Each new arrival
A summer equinox
Each departure
A rainstorm
But, when it was over
Nothing but cold
Blizzard languages
Frostbitten
Even solace’s bandages
Could not heal
But, I weathered the storm
And would do it again
Cause it was for real
…
Here I am
52 weeks have past
Occasional recollection
Of that hourglass
With no more sands
Buried in dragon’s chest
You are in my silent prayer
Always
But
Know this
Even though you are contained
Within my heart’s asylum cell block home
I loved you
With all that I had
So much
That you will be the only regret
I will ever be proud of.

He is my inspiration.
Creator of Life, you are,
We extol your creative wonders.
We stand in awe at your wisdom,
We're compelled to pause and ponder.
Almighty God, you are,
Astonishing displays of your great power.
Your name for us is our shelter,
Our stronghold and our tower.
Sovereign Lord, you are,
Exercising dominion o'er all your creation.
We surrender to your ascendancy,
In unreserved dedication.
Ancient of Days, you are,
As revealed in your own word.
No one surpasses you in excellence,
Your blessings now conferred.
King of Righteousness, you are,
Your statutes and principles you give.
Wholeheartedly we shall obey your laws,
As long as we shall live.
King of Eternity, you are,
From indefinite past, to forever,
We disown ourselves in servitude,
Our resolute endeavor.
Majestic One, you are,
Incomparable in glory and holiness.
Your resplendent magnificence,
Only you possess.
Alpha and Omega, you are,
The beginning and the end.
Because of your great love, we choose,
To be your lifelong friends.
Praised be your holy name!

Rhyme
I see her, ecstatic under thundering skies, red flashed lightning
Long hair static, arms spread wide,
savoured downpour, dance.... exuberant
As if day becomes night, a crimson moon, tinted stars, painted clouds
Peering down, eclipsing fears and weaving enchantment
Her pirouettes stir dry leaves in whirlwind patterns
And I stand in awe, my clumsy limbs reach out to her
My coy moves, a pitiful attempt to match her audacity
Her inner focus, isolated from everything but herself.
I wonder, could this be a dream, a vision created by a lonely mind
An apparition in melodic shapes, beauty conjured by wishful feelings…
Then she stops, looks in my direction, and my breath escapes
Her eyes enchanting pools of fire, and deep inside I stir:
"Dance with me". Is that my voice, cracking like breaking branches?
One lithe motion and she is behind me, over my shoulder I can see her curls
No, it is her voice, an angelic sound wafts about me, I am motionless, mesmerized
“Dance with me” she says again, touching my arm as I feel myself floating
Lighter than air, as if I have wings, I feel nothing and I feel everything…
Nothing, nothing beats her warmth, no rain, no thundering booming growl
from the clouds, no, nothing beats the warmth of her heart beating against
mine, or the saltiness of her skin, or the gentle teasing in her voice
I still find it hard to convince myself that this is happening…to me
But dream or not I will dance, for that is my life…to dance
And I will smile for the first time in a long time…in harmony with hers
"I knew you before you knew me" she says: "I saw you before you saw yourself"
And deep inside I melt, those walls she expertly tears down brick by brick:
A mason cementing with bare hands, and I am suddenly naked.
And I am free, no longer held captive by my own desolate thoughts,
free to explore, free to experience and free to follow her lead,
as we now dance, unreserved, un-tethered…into every tomorrow, together.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES
Wow, this is cool.
Spectacular and groovy
So real to my intellect that I feel that I am a noetic ambiance.
Surreal and extroverted
I am unreserved.
I am spreading my wings to test the world.
See do I really fit in.
If I fail, I will try again.
Wow, what a winner.
Touring the city in my Lamborghini.
Dress as sharp as I cut the corners.
I am prequel to greater excitement.
A cause and effect to another’s desires.
I am ablaze afire.
Avid to paint the city lights,
As I dance in the streets tonight.
Wow, what a knockout.
I stand under the disco ball.
A pleasant surprise and a thrill to all.
Sequential to my last time out.
Ensuing others to come along
On this joyride of freedom.
Never suppress or overpowered
No weapon formed shall prosper.
Wow, what a smash.
I have overcome many obstacles.
Not following any protocol
I am in a rightful mind people.
My workflow is by policy.
I am OSHA and safety.
No guidelines I avoid.
I am the strength of my workforce.
Wow, what a sensation.
I am the image of persuasion.
Under no circumstances do I procrastinate.
The situation is there to investigate.
So I monitor my surroundings
To become wise and intuitive.
Yet, overwhelmed this may become.
That is me of my wisdom.
Wow, another triumph!
Destiny’s miracle.
In a diurnal mood,
To achieve and to attain and
To remain attuned.
Neptune has entered Aquarius.
The birth sigh of Emma Mae Porter-Sexton.
Sirens sing I am here forever and I am a new beginning.

I know that I won’t forget you
Did you ever believe that I would?
What we had together was special:
Magical, and exceptionally good.
Even though it’s now over
And we have parted amicably
There is a little piece of you
That will always be a part of me.
You inhabited my life for so many years
Gave me more than I probably deserved
Your love and loyalty and devotion
Was complete and unreserved
And I, in turn, gave you everything
To make you comfortable and happy
We got along pretty well, most of the time
I loved you and you loved me.
But something changed a while back now
There was something gone amiss
I could tell by the way you greeted me
I knew by brevity of your kiss
Oh, you tried hard to hide it from me
And I wanted to believe, and I really tried
But your lies and secretiveness
You could never successfully hide.
I should have confronted you maybe,
Forced the issue, brought it to light
But what would have been the point of that:
Who would have gained from such a fight?
So I swallowed my anguish and pain
And waited for the hammer to fall
Although it took longer than I expected it to
I lived in hope it would not fall at all.
You were kind and gentle with me
I cried and you cried too
It broke my fractured heart to agree that
You had to do what you needed to do
Even then I hoped against rational hope
You’d change your mind and you would stay
However, you just kissed me one last time
Then wiped your eyes and walked away.
So I sit here with my memories
The photographs, mementos and things
All the ephemera of our relationship
Such sadness some this stuff brings
Yet remembrances of happier times, too
Can still raise an affectionate smile
So I’ll sit here looking and remembering
At least for a little while
I know I won’t forget you
It’s not something I’m willing to do
However hurt and lonely I am
I’ll always hold a candle for you
I will love you forever, no matter what
You are in my heart forever to stay
And maybe, if things don’t work out for you,
You’ll return home to me one day…

I FELT LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Heartbeats slow~to~rush, slow~to~rush in blue blithesome air,
faces spotlight the summer sun, their laughter notes: a choir of February flair.
When eyes match the brilliance of diamonds and cheeks bud like roses unreserved,
the dulcet of shoots and tingles intercourse: non-stop thrilling every nerves,
skin gloss by flaming wonder wheels triggering senses to ripple and dare,
thoughts even suffer a sudden stroke despite rosaries of whispered prayers.
It is as if ten-thousand fireflies constellate mimicing the farthest stars,
I am leaping beyond the winds and hopping on the rim of a tilted caramel jar.
Has a swarm of fallen meteors, melted in rainbow dyes, envelope my heart?
How did the sullen sorrows I have~ within sighs slowly tear apart?
Melancholy disperse as circus melody hugs hearts beating in lowly breasts,
chains of interludes harp no shame as pure intentions are expressed.
My bosoms has been dressed by famine-tattered scars, I moaned complains,
but in the name of love authored by God, new life with you, I gain!

TODAY’S WOMAN
A column can scaffold a back that is enervated.
We as women will burden ourselves with hate.
That is we will take on another’s disintegration.
All in that business is a mess.
It becomes our plight to fix.
We sing our songs while we take on the world.
We continue to overwhelm ourselves.
When we know anything, we have achieved success.
This is a formidable woman’s road map.
The lines she follows gets her there.
Intense in thought and with mind involved she forms the stratagem.
Her purpose is to inform the world.
Her future is, therefore, passed on to next baby girl.
Imminence is still yet to come.
Unless the world is in a formation discovery, we are backward spiraling.
The diffident disguises our lack of unity.
How obtrusive we are.
A conspiracy is inferred.
Reticent is unreserved.
We are a political powerhouse that must be robust.
We as women are the conditions of our home front.
We must disallow polluted waters from the wounds that bleed.
We must not be garrulous in our activism.
Cagey old women we will become.
When there is a reason, we must step-to-the-cause,
Insofar as our souls and spirit are intertwined,
As we segment, we can inspire all women to intermingle for support of universal health where women help each other to move forward.
For those aforementioned, our draft has been self-possessed.
We are women of potential acclimatization to invigorate, innovate, and to inform.
We are tomorrow and the future forthcoming.

(Christ's nature pictured in a little child.)
Should Christ desire his nature known,
His manner so meek and mild.
Could he not take one of his own,
Reveal himself in a child?
Wide eyed in faith of things to come,
Resides in that heart so new.
A total trust in his Father,
With unreserved reliance too.
No doubt in motive concerning a friend,
Enters that mind so sweet.
In the child, you can depend,
The mirror of Christ to see.
Forgiving, always forgiving those,
With whom they have to do.
Loving everything around,
And, with enthusiasm too.
Esteeming no one really bad,
Or requiring work to do.
Children have hope and charity,
And smiles of thanksgiving too.
Could someone find a better way,
For Christ's love to be shown,
Except for Holy scripture, to say,
No better way is known.
In the child the effect of grace,
Is so clearly manifested;
While sinful human depravity,
Can hardly be detected.
Look in the world from end to end,
Searching as you may:
No surer picture can be found,
No purer judgment made.
Than in the beauty of the child,
One ever so meek and mild;
In whom love lies unconditionally,
And where there is no guile.
If this dear thought you don't believe,
Or dare not pursue:
Well, its no marvel at all to me,
Christ was once a child too.
Matt.18:3-6 "Verily, I say unto you, except you
be converted and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of
heaven.. Whosoever therefore shall humble
himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven, and whosoever
shall recieve one such little child in my name, recieveth me. But, who so shall offend one of
these little ones which believeth in me, it were better for him if a millstone were tied
around his neck and he were drowned in the bottom of the sea.

of 1 Yr.)

Sometimes God will send people in your way
to either perk you up
wake you up from your stupor
or just pull you in the mood
My supervisor was just walking by
and all he said was "jingle bell, jingle bell"
and I felt myself lift up and finally in the Christmas mood
Did someone ever perk you up
do something for you that you feel like
you have been touched by God himself?
That is what it feels like
All he did was singing
- the innocent act of kindness
Bet he doesn't even know
Yet God used it to reach deep down in someone's inside
and made a permanent mark
Yes God will do that
So just live
Carry on
And be innocent as you can be
And be unreserved as you can let
Don't hold back
Let it all out
Be a cheerleader of the world
Be the ambassador
Be the magic keeper
Life is all - for you and for me
Let your spirit shine
Will you?

The Countryside is changing fast,
with every day it sheds the past,
with nothing new, that seems to last.
So does it really matter.
The village structure, solid, sound,
the pub, the Church, the Cricket ground,
the Manor, where the squire was found.
Back then it seemed to matter.
But now they've gone. The people new
no longer share a Sunday pew,
instead they sit and telly view
and say it doesn't matter.
They wash the car, they mow the lawn,
but never see a new lamb born;
nor glimpse the peeping sun at dawn.
They think it doesn't matter
I mourn the passing of those days,
the peace and quiet, the simple ways
with unreserved old fashioned praise.
And, yes! To me, they matter.

When will the cuts end?
An end to austerity seems further than the rainbow
And its dulling rays affect the nation
Increasing stress, pain and sleep deprivation
But it must be done they say
As if all will be well soon
With millions cast in doom and gloom
The hard working families, the deserving poor
Debt is their burden so tax them more!
But stop!
“The banks are revenue generating
So income tax would be self-flagellating”
“Tell you what, this is what we'll do
Close a library, end free food”
Balance the books, metaphorically speaking,
For at this rate our children wont have a Larkin
and an end will come to laughing
But they know best!
Sacrifices must be made
Allowances must be paid
The highest calibre of candidate
(An illegitimate mandate)
A double dip crisis causing the elite
as much trouble as a unreserved seat
On the roller-coaster of benefit
Brace yourself for another fall!

Verse
At Pearl Harbor I was a Second Class Gunner’s Mate,
On the USS LCS(L)-53, it was my home straight,
And we had radar picket duty with my proud gun,
Between Okinawa and Japan, my 20mm connon.
Unfortunately, I got an infection in my right hand,
But our craft was too small to have a doctor at hand,
But the destroyer William D Porter was right on duty,
So our skipper knew I’d loose my hand, so he did hurry.
He contacted the destroyer which pulled up aside,
I was chair lifted onto her, and luckily the sea did abide,
Felt so happy to set foot on her, and my mates teased,
That I’d be exchanged for ice-cream any day, they eased!
I was only there for one night, then went to hospital,
I went onto a hospital ship anchored that so was brutal,
And after Porter had dropped me, she returned to duty,
But within the hour was sunk by the Japanese in cruelty,
I got back into good shape on the hospital ship,
So went back to my ship, discharged and feeling tip;
I checked my record for all of the ships that I served,
And I was surprised, the Porter’s listed unreserved!

In the afterglow I ponder
My travels through heavens door
His heart endowed romantic
Body chiseled of gods like Thor.
His piercing eyes composed by angels
Granted powers to enchant my soul
His arms like gladiators retired from the fight
Commissioned to tantalize my mould
His hands radiate waves of current
High voltage pulsating my nerves
His kisses navigating saccharin navel
Dedicated to my pleasure unreserved
His manhood crafted like barbarian knight
His implement in ecstasies embrace
Enslaved to his prowess when flesh unites
This memory forever engraved
Chill of ice on skin set fire
Unsighted by soft silk fold
Peaking all untamed desire
While under his full control
Here drawing back the drapes of passion
Eclipsed as a work of art
To experience even a percentage of this ration
Was the purpose of desire from the start

Sky color of death
high wind blows without a howl
destination known.
As our day turns from bright to unwelcome dark grey
cold, heavy rain starts to lash earths crust so forceful
startled then extreme fear felt in a flash so unexpected
visually experiencing this cloud to ground lightening
stroke after stroke creating frightening yet wonderful
patterns against that uninviting evil cloud covered sky
without any warning our sky illuminated by spikes of
blinding light crawling from horizon to horizon ,
we were encountering this natural extravaganza,
an amazing unreserved event, fearful though beautiful.
natural beauty
fury totally untamed
arrive and enjoy.
