I chase you through the alleys of my mind
Your quickened steps ensure you're out of reach
My tears collect then run much like my feet
You cannot see or hear their silent speech

And in the shadows of forgotten dreams
I strain to see the beauty of your face
Before that blessed dawn of surety
Illusive to my heart, you leave no trace

The fragrance of your body lingers still
And creature like possessed, I follow on
It promises your presence just beyond
Pursuit's reward unreached, for you have gone

I wander still through alleys of my mind
There to remain until your heart I find.

cry of the lowly
reaches heaven's pinnacle...
God of love sees heart~~~

hear my heart's anguish
frustrated with unreached goals
feeling so worthless~~~

with gloomy spirit
divine revival I yearn
send fire from above~~~

midst attacking doubts
faith wavers, and staggering
I need firm anchor~~~

I need the Saviour
to Him I cling fervently...
goodbye to darkness

Premium Member Finding My Muse

The surging stream cascades in swirling ebullience
Through dancing shadows of swaying trees entranced
The spectral dew drops draping the glinted grass tips
Weave lattice of splendor on the meadow bejeweled
The drizzling dust on moonbeam in blue satin night
Adorns the pearl laced waves of rolling sea beguiled
That’s where I look for my muse elusive.

Up above the majestic mountain’s serenading slopes
Waits the sun-soaked summit of ecstasy unclimbed
Far down the verdant valley’s slithering spine curved
Sparkle emeralds on picturesque plains untreasured
The rain-washed sky spreads the tapestry of dreams
Of chromatic imagery on rainbow horizon unreached
That’s where I seek out for my muse concealed.

The sun rises with the grandeur of the nascent dawn
Lifting the veil of miasma from the sense of unfeeling
The winds of imagination blows on the mindscape
Raising the dust of all dormant emotions unbound
Turning them into a surging storm of creative urge
Flying the muse to me with afflatus unconfined
That’s when it makes me a poet profound.

Premium Member Freedom

song is the freedom of captured souls,
trapped in unseen cages with unreached goals,
unravelled deep from heart, played with flair,
their melodies are set free in air,
rebound from stony walls, flow down streams,
ripple emotions, make and break dreams,
echo from mountains to the blue skies,
someone, someone please undo their ties!

rusty chains, shackles prison free thought,
black bird in the cage, yearns for her lot,
strings of violin play birds a lore,
of their happy days that were before,
freedom is greatest gift of our life,
that is often lost to human strife,
let them all free, let their hopes soar high,
let live in freedom, in freedom die!!

Premium Member The Eagle's Realm

High above the sun-bleached shore
Between blue sea and blue sky
Lonely, silent world unreached
Home of those who soar
The tranquil skies.
Whose wings spread and shadow
Suspended on a weaving current
Stretch and relax in constant flight.

They nest atop the cragged tor
Open to wind and rain, and raise
Their young to glide
Between high heaven and low shore
Where clouds float and lie
Inert, the eagle's realm.

A Hunger Unfed

An unforgotten depth,
An unreached ground,
Answers haven’t been found,
A dim lamp stands in the corridor.

He sojourns with a vague understanding,
He seeks to know the reason for his troubles,
To find the path out of the gloomy bubbles,
He has searched the deep for a reap.

He has walked out of the night,
He has sojourned to the light,
The tendrils of the night still trail him,
He has seen its different sides

The book hasn’t answered all his questions,
The sages say it’s a purposed intention,
He still journeys to redemption,
Until time and age bring him completion.

Ode To Moremi

Moremi beautiful princess in Ile- Ife.
Moremi beauty is mightier than sword.
Queen of beauty, queen of brawn, queen of brawl.
Irresistable charm that eyes could not ignore.
The rich came for her but Moremi would not.
The royal too but princess would not yield,
Till the day war entered Ile-Ife,
From those that had always conquered them.
Who would stand the war and become a slave?
Only beauty stood the wrath of fierce soldiers,
Arrested their generalissimo with her virginity.
Moremi's beauty is mightier than the brawn.

The warlord saw beauty and threw away his sword:
If this could not be our wife let her be our mistress.
So Moremi became captive in the hands of her prey.
With lust in his heart the warlord granted her a wish:
Make your last speech now there shall be your home.
To the last man standing Moremi spoke in dialect:
Tell our army to attack the brute in a year time.
Moremi was taken away a captive to the brutish land.

There she beacme the warlord's mistress.
Within short time cupid's arrow hit him harder.
In love he revealed their pot of mystic concortion to her:
Behold our ageless might and power,
Whenever we drink from here no one can conquer us.
Then came another day,Ife people attacked the brutish;
The poor love pets were running to their pot,
Pot was broken ,concortion was spilt ,princess was unreached.
But Moremi led them back to Ile-ife with their captives
The captives' heads they made gratitude to their god of war.

Premium Member Facing Mortality

Another passing, quiet tears
A time of reckoning, a few more beers
Once wooded, now populated, concrete
Where crickets chirped, now a street
Dreams dying, goals unreached, a new reality
Coming face to face with your own mortality
Material achievement, awards on the wall
Of no real value, please take them all
To change the world but the drive is gone
There's a torch still burning, can you pass it on
Stars in the sky whose light will not diminish
Journey toward dreams that you'll never finish
There is a peace in memories, pain doesn't last
The future intimidates but not the past
Different roads but the same destination
Reaching back in sheer frustration
Fearing places where we don't know what we'll find
Thinking back to all we left behind
Another passing, quiet tears
A time of reckoning, a few more beers.

Premium Member Hear Me From Eternal Darkness

Hear my plea… consider truth’s earnestness
Bringing to your ear this factual soundness:
I’m Hell --- a prison of endless darkness
Where misery’s gloom prevails in blackness
Due to sufferings, despair, hopelessness
Leaving the guilty in their sins’ fierceness.

Listen to my voice from this dark juncture
Echoing warning midst urgent posture:
I’m Hell --- a place of eternal torture
With restlessness’ angst and despair-puncture
Sealing the faithless in their doomed future
Midst cruel hatred’s defiant gesture.

Acknowledge my vocal predicament
Loudly clear despite painful sentiment:
I’m Hell --- a cell of everlasting torment
Expressing death's wailing every moment
As sorrows, anguish, woe wildly lament
With constant gnashing of teeth engagement.

Consider my call from this space, unlit
Since radiance of Scriptures does not quit:
I’m Hell --- a dungeon where there’s no exit
And each one slides toward bottomless pit
Struggling to reach foot stool summit
Yet never to taste freedom’s air a bit.

Neglect not my admonition’s love-guides
Which one in his self-righteousness derides:
I’m Hell --- lake of fire* where God’s wrath abides
Unreached by His mercy, while His grace hides
There, worms die not, with pleas’ screams at all sides
Along unheard prayers … deserving chides.

I welcome you in my darkest manner
When you flee from the perfect Pardoner:
I’m Hell ---waiting each one who’s pride-winner
Bearing “You’re forever condemned” banner
Verdict to the claim, “I’m not a sinner”
Rejecting grace midst selfishness’ dinner.

Decide now… from my drowning blackness, flee
Choose life; against darkness’ grip and be free:
I’m Hell *--- with my gruesomeness you can see
Trust Christ the Saviour and you can miss me
Have faith in Him Who died at Calvary
Resurrected to bring you Heaven’s glory.

*Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The Fear

Can you blame me for viewing life gloomily sometimes...
As dim as night or even darker...
Whenever I go beyond unreached, I saw strangers within me...
They knows a lot well... They often brought me to the farthest end...

Religion give us hope... But for them there is no hope at all...
For them we are only God's toys...
They knows every fate of human... Death...
That the blade of the father of time was always in our neck...
That every day we became closer to our unhappy ending...
They were so strong...

They began as my sidekick...
When I started counting 1 2 3... Learning ABC's...
I even taught they were a gift... My guardians...
But as time goes by... Their motive was unleashed...
To ruin life... To ate and destroyed mind...
There was a time that i never know me anymore...
They possessed me so much that I can't even control myself...

It's like a beast was unraveled within me...
Their passion was to get into once head...
To play mind games with it... To turn white to gray...
Beautiful days into rainy... Love to hatred...

My body fell numb suddenly... Here they comes...
They really did exist... My head will be at war yet again...
On what I feared most... My sudden METAMORPHOSIS...

Mysterious Aries

A Fallen Star

she was above the skies before her time,
praised under the pillow of clouds...
the finest actress alive,
unreached atop the pedastool of angels.
soon fame brought fever to her bed in space,
and mens eyes glowed as she gleamed down to earth.

Hell is a place of eternal torture
With restlessness’ angst and despair-puncture

Hell is a prison of endless darkness
Where misery’s gloom prevails in blackness
Due to sufferings, despair, hopelessness
Leaving the convicts in their guilt’s fierceness.

Hell* is a cell of everlasting torment
Expressing death's wailing every moment
As sorrows, anguish, woe wildly lament
With constant gnashing of teeth engagement.

Hell is a dungeon where there’s no exit
And each one slides toward bottomless pit
Struggling to reach foot stool summit
Yet never to taste freedom’s air a bit.

Hell is lake of fire** where God’s wrath abides
Unreached by His mercy, while His grace hides
There, worms die not, with pleas’ screams at all sides
Along unheard prayers … deserving chides.

Hell awaits everyone who’s a sinner
Bearing “You’re forever condemned” banner
No one can flee from punishment runner
While Satan and cohorts serve cursed dinner.

Hell can be missed by trusting the great Lord
In placing faith in God upon His Word
He vanquished hell’s might with His divine sword
For those who are in Christ in sweet accord.

Hell is indeed closed to the redeemed soul
Assured by the Almighty's loving goal
Granting eternal life**, forever whole
Through Jesus Christ in His great Saviour's role.

*Luke16:23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments...

**Revelation 20:14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

***Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Premium Member Heavenly Hope

So blessed am I to possess heavenly hope*
God’s enduring gift enveloping my salvation-scope
Securely tied around His blessed eternal life’s rope…
Never will I fear death and hell-blinding grope.

So privileged am I to enjoy heavenly hope midst hardship
God’s exhorting compassion accepting my sincere worship
Surely beautified with His offered satisfying friendship…
Never will I neglect my stewardship along prayer-fellowship.

So fortunate am I to have heavenly hope in my spirituality
God’s encouraging promise upholding my faith’s stability
Steadfastly anchored upon His Word’s immutability…
Never will I abide in doubts’ uncertainty and falsity.

So delighted am I to cherish heavenly hope with divine brightness
God’s enlightening vision subduing my ignorance and foolishness
Sufficiently reflected by His radiating truth of revelation-fullness…
Never will I depart from His granted wisdom’s effectiveness.

So honoured am I to partake of heavenly hope’s revival
God’s empowering miracle transforming my vain survival
Strongly fired up thru His might vanquishing my carnal upheaval…
Never will I strive toward worldly gain against His approval.

So glad am I to share heavenly hope with the lost
God’s edifying joy motivating my heart to win souls at all cost
Serenely guided along the inspiration of the Holy Ghost…
Never will I cease praying for those unreached in the uttermost.

So expectant am I to behold heavenly hope and its unfolding
God’s exciting coming with His glory that’s worth regarding
Sacredly scheduled in His timing with angelic host’s attending…
Never will I miss His great kingly reign forever pervading.

Greatness

I have been pondering for quite some time,
Is there a permanence to the meaning of the word ‘greatness’?
Whatever does it mean ‘to be great’ or ‘to feel great’?

You see, from ever since, I’ve attached its meaning to superiority,
Something unreachable, beyond my wildest imagination.
With branches beyond the skies,
which climax at levels exceeding human capability.
And thick, fibrous roots so deeply entrenched,
that they become onerous to deracinate.

But over the years, my realisation has surprised me.
I have recognised that greatness has distinctive,
yet instinctive qualities.

Much like a budding and unfolding bouquet of roses,
Its perfume is subjective.
Pungent to some, but fragrant and elegant to others.
Its vessel comes in different forms,
Some curved, thin or well figured.
And its florets can bud, bloom, change colour or even decay,
depending on the level of care.

Similarly, I have discerned that greatness resides in each of us.
Its aura is unfastened by our creativity and vision.
And it is unbarred by the similitude of unreached potential,
encasement or bewilderment.

And, at last, there cannot be any fixity to its meaning.
Rather, there is much subjectivity, intuitivity and reason,
that we must open ourselves up to receive.

I hope you receive and accept your feeling of greatness,
in whatever form it appears.

Premium Member My Critical Circumstance

Looking at the world
In a kaleidoscope of color
Vivid and fleeting
Every shade filled with hope of bliss.

Laden with heartache
After ages of pain and grief,
Uncertainty of a 'forever'
Glancing eerily at me,
Heading for a breakdown that I would never succumb to.

Leaving behind yesterday and its bitterness,
Orbing to a height unreached
Violently fighting to kill the catalyst that motions the meltdown...
Ever after in your eyes... Love has conquered my critical circumstance.
