My Critical Circumstance

Looking at the world
In a kaleidoscope of color
Vivid and fleeting
Every shade filled with hope of bliss.

Laden with heartache
After ages of pain and grief,
Uncertainty of a 'forever'
Glancing eerily at me,
Heading for a breakdown that I would never succumb to.

Leaving behind yesterday and its bitterness,
Orbing to a height unreached
Violently fighting to kill the catalyst that motions the meltdown...
Ever after in your eyes... Love has conquered my critical circumstance.

Love conquers all because love forces us to accept things, and people as well, for what they are and not for what we want them to be. And if it's not so then I submit that's it's not love but something else. Sometimes, after the rose colored glasses are stripped away, love will dictate that we should just let go and set the wild bird free, and sometimes not. Good luck in the contest! And thank you for your comments.

Good morning Wilma, a nice and enjoyable poem. You have the most beautiful entrance to a poem here. I love the way you view the world thru a kaleidoscope of color...A loy to have read that part. But the rest of your poem is deep and strong..Wow!! the way you changed the form to the truth of reality. Enjoyed,..p.d.

If you have found a way to leave the pain and grief of yesterday behind, then truly love has "conquered" your critical circumstance. Best wishes for success in the contest with this heartfelt poem, Wilma. Love, Carolyn
