["The Eagle's Realm," written sometime during the mid-1960s, first appeared in Quintessence and was later included in my first poetry chapbook, The Lady in the Pink Hat, Candor Press, 1969.]

High above the sun-bleached shore Between blue sea and blue sky Lonely, silent world unreached Home of those who soar The tranquil skies. Whose wings spread and shadow Suspended on a weaving current Stretch and relax in constant flight. They nest atop the cragged tor Open to wind and rain, and raise Their young to glide Between high heaven and low shore Where clouds float and lie Inert, the eagle's realm.

I have, and they are. I visited the Eagle Rehab Center in Minnesota where they rescue Bald Eagles that have been hit by a car, etc., and they give a fantastic show with the birds that are rehabed but too crippled to release into the wild. Thanks for your read, Robert. I appreciate you.

So you wrote this when you were three years old using pablum covered fingers and a "binkie".....

John, I don't know where you are getting your info, but in 1960 I was 20 years old! I'm 79 1/2 as I write. But, FYI, I'm still in my fifties! LOL! The only place I don't put my real age is on dating sites! LMAO.
