Premium Member Wings of Change

Remembering when
Perched high above on rocky crags
Cliffs weathered by times handprints
I saw far and wide to distant shores
Tendrils of desire radiating outwards

Riding the briny mist
Being carried by the breath of the ocean, my constant companion
Hearing the distant voices, the silent tears
The bursts of passion ~ love and loss

I ride the wings of hope and change
Towards the beckoning landscape of
Creation, mystery, and nuance

A vibration fills the air
The quiet chanting of our ancient brothers and sisters
Their words floating in effervescent bubbles
Tinged with melodies so clear

We are one ~ We are here
Let us bathe you in light
Let us heal your wounds
Let us give you hope
We are all mirrors of one another
We share one breath
We are connected like the mycelium under the ground
Our journey is peaceful
Come to us with your pain, your heartache,
Your fear and your loss

We are here to listen
Our ears and hearts are open
You have come to a safe sanctuary to reveal your secrets
Your darkness, your desires, and your bliss
Without judgement
This is a time of renewal

Tiny green hummingbird lays lifeless on the ground
Surrounded by new life
Glittering musical notes sound as
Pink butterflies gather
Gentle wind of wings bringing change

Warm rain falls as we make our way
Through the kaleidoscopes of turquoise, teal, lime and chartreuse
Sunlight reflections
Moss, furry seedlings, and ferns
Intertwine dancing in the shafts of light

A steady illuminated procession
Sweat running down our bodies
We are a train of humanity pushing forward
Through the dense moist jungle

Coming upon a clearing to witness
The newborn baby girl wrapped in velvet greenery
A majestic glowing beacon shining her light
On all of us

Howling

The chatter of monkeys as they scramble down limbs to join us
We feel her heartbeat
We meld into one another seamlessly
Swaying gently in unison
To honor, rejoice and celebrate
Receiving the gift of what it is to be human

Slowly the child is lifted into the air
Aloft on fingertips of joy
The Circle of Life begins
And we return to the simple act
Of loving and giving to one another
Into eternity

Premium Member Rainbow Scales Beckon Me

Going inward
Receiving moments of grace
While time unfolds
Touching your heart with my breath
An expansion
Doorways to enter

Each gift revealed through my willingness
Vulnerability my partner
Coaxing me towards unimagined pleasure and pain

Letting my mind expand
Memories of days
Exploring and discovering
Baiting my first hook
My Father’s deep voice guiding me

Watching his strong hands
Red wigglers in dirt
Alive in a styrofoam cup
We bait our hooks together
Plunge our fishing poles into the pond

A silent communication
Connection shared
Anticipation
Sunlight dancing off the ripples
A moment I carry with me now
Always grateful for my
Depth of consciousness

Inhaling, I travel through time
Naked, I make my way through
Beckoning aqua kissed waters
I look ahead and swim
Allowing sunrays to bathe my body in their warmth
Marbled hues sing out
Bubbles rise
Shadows and sunbeams in a lover’s embrace

I perform a weightless somersault
Smiling in delight as I catch glimpses
Of the watery kingdom encompassing me
Vowing to keep this sacred moment
Alive in my soul forever

From behind a towering coral
You appear
My royal rainbow Parrotfish
Who I have dreamed of
For an eternity

Come to me dear one
Show me your tapestry of glittering scales
Allow me to touch your soft skin
So I may delight in the magic
Of all that you are

Let us glide through the
Nuanced waters of life
Let us experience all the shades
Of dark and light as one
Fill our souls with laughter and love

Let’s ride these undulating tides with kindness
Touching the hearts of others
Joining hands with those in need
Creating an arena
Where all will be heard

Swim with me now
Let’s journey forth
Together my love

Lowering the Union Jack, 1962

Like love ones come to view a parting ship
Before the anchor lifts
And its iron lips prow the salty waves
We journeyed from our busy day and penny pay
And the indifferent utterances to our cause
We came tattlering and joking and tired
Of the conditions simulating the bitter colonial
We wiped the bread crumbs from our mouth
Stood erect with eyes upon a pole
And watch the tricolored form slithered down
Head drooping in the gusty night
And all the while Dura drums rolling softly
Could not budge my steel convictions with fire
I felt alone in the long uproar of crowd
For I think I saw it winked an opulent eye
Before the pole flagless stood silent in naked night.

The Magnetism of Our Union

Nice and slow, I feel you coming on
Persistent, messy, though fragile
You are over me, under me, beyond me
Crushing my lingering patience,
So that it no longer lingers,
But putrefies

And all the while, I feel you coming on

Over me, under me, beyond me
You know you have planned this muddle
Organized, and poised, I did not take the bait
I became the bait
And you bit…by bliss you did bite

I was so afraid that your teeth were going to shatter…
Because I had been made by laboring stonemasons
Who were trained to reduce the most radiant of rock into devil
I was so hard-pressed in the ugliness
Though in that moment, you sank in, and deeply….

Over me, under me, and beyond me
You came onto me
And all the devil slammed into my being dissipated

Now I can barely stand without you…….

The magnetism of our union continues to intensify
For even patience has her prowl
And her rot is built on our magnum opuses

Union

UNION

No one could ever love you
More than I. This I know to be

True because my heart
Fills the sky, every cell of my

Body explodes when I think
Of you, every heartbeat tells me

This is true. But truth moves
So slow and time moves too fast.

From my very first waking breath
I’m thinking of you until my last breath

And all of my in-betweens, too. Not
To mention the copious dreams of you;

We dance together, I admire the view.
My thoughts travel far but never

Far from you. Time is the keeper
Of the plans we make and dreams

Are the sleeper waiting to awake.
Even angels lose sleep dreaming

Of mortal men and chastity lost,
For love is the healer, it is never

A mistake, it soothes the spirit,
Relieves the pain of emptiness

And longing is the wide, dry plains
Anticipating the gentle, loving rains.

The poet speaks many languages
But love is his mother tongue

And love never lies and truth never
Dies, it is golden. In the union

Of night and day our flesh exposed,
Two lovers lay, the blushing Moon

Our witness, the preacher Sun
And we are forever one.

Premium Member It wasn't all that long ago, The State of the Union

It wasn't all that long ago when covid
choked the world with it's grasp.
People became anxious, some belligerent, when
asked to merely mask.
While others stock piled toilet paper to
wipe their sorry ass..
A million Americans suffered.
A million Americans passed.
Our health care system became overburdened
with such a daunting task..
People craving answers, turned to the experts to ask.
Our Ex. President gave misinformation with a
racist slant, calling covid the "Chinese virus",
he'd over and over recant.
Innocent Asian citizens were aggressively attacked.
This former President refused to abide by the precautions that
were advised. He wouldn't wear a mask and the medical community he criticized.
How many of us Americans would still be here today, if we had
stupidly injected bleach as this President once did say?
Four years wasn't all that long ago dear friends.
Is this the type of leader that Americans want again??

"What is this strange place we find ourselves in
Trapped in the open, we find ourselves within"

Who can hear the forest still
Its light and mist fall calmly hushed
Bereft of leaves gripped in winter's will
Its naked soul lies burnt from autumns rust

Sundering haze as breath in cold
Melts in air through sunlit stands
Of forest simple, soft though bold
While natures will and peace command
Its parable is yet untold

Eyes behold serene repose
As tides of glimmering beauty shoal
To surge with mighty grandeur's glow

Into the heart it comes to rest
Zen's remedy is yet to show
The puzzle of this life’s mystery
As oneness flows to disclose
Can we be as one with every tree?

Our President was fit and fierce
and there wasn't any stumbling.
He shared his vision openly
with out one moments fumbling..
These last four years our leader
has dealt with so much,
in spite of a opposition from a
Congress out of touch..
He spoke of our commonality and
those values that have gone astray.
Some Republicans squirmed in their
seats at the truths that he portrayed..
Thru many years of public service
he has brought his expertise, to the
table of a world now struggling daily
for world peace..
I must admit I'm super proud of our
"Popa Joe".
He showed the crowd and they were
wowed by where the U.S. needs to go!

Union Or Delusion

He lives with her and says for sure, that's where he wants to be.
A lovely wife, who hides her strife, how attractive; Not to me.

Though she did stray, he chose to stay, defending love unkind.
He claims success, when it's a mess; A delusion of the mind.

He comes to me for I am free, my mind and soul complete.
I do not reflect; I have self-respect and can't settle for defeat.

It's difficult to say why he won't stay, perhaps I'm just to real.
He can't fool me, for I can see beyond ones fake appeal.

He will not leave, though she'll deceive and hide behind her fear.
It's way too late to close that gate; He would rather die than veer.

There was a time it crossed my mind, he'd pick this maiden fair.
This is me, miss reality, and he's not going anywhere.

Although I know that time will show, mistakes burn deep, ask me?
For I've been there without passions flare, and I lived in misery.

At least I know I'm not a show, but it seems that's what they crave.
A challenge, please! I'll never tease and you can mark that on my grave!

Premium Member A Poisonous Union

Add colour to a bunch of expensive waste, Its still rubbish
to rescue a prey from its determined predator create an exit
in one cubicle is a hungry snake and a well nurtured fish
to suggest fairness in this scene, we stubbornly close it
one is feasted upon for another to have a nice dish
yet for political correctness we look away to the opposite.

I've been watching these two groups lately,
Left and right & all those between.
Where resolutions appear adrift or absent,
And legislation became downright mean.

The battling and the bickering, seems to be
Creating fear all along to blame.
While moderation and discourse through debate,
Has fallen painfully, only to face shame.

As this nationalism is bantered about,
Extolling the revered, capitalistic way
Only to 'trash talk' anything socialistic,
As if the demonic would come out to play.

And forget anything of a brave new world,
As globalization is fought and ignored.
Because that one world government might
Loom closer to some, & we know how that's deplored.

Yet we have also witnessed a dismal harvest,
When seeds of distrust finally bore their fruit.
While some felt it added to our greatness,
More saw only failure that was absolute.

Since our greatness isn't defined by the irrational,
Its definition lies with opportunity & equal chance.
So as we feed on our roots of diversity & fairness,
Our growth will be the fuel to romance.

Come to me my eastern star, to your love mystery Avatar,
travel the path of my tantric wish to where touch is holy spectacular,
discover the dharma that has delivered the dream of Ardhanarishvara
into the spine of your psychosexual lifeline, the vine of divine quanta
polishing the pearl of vipassana embedded firmly in the crown of your psychic flora,

Bring with you the faith of infinite love fire
that fuels the physics of fantasy's fearless desire
votives of violet vibration, the birthright of a Lotus Queen
born between motives of midnight storms and sunrise rose opening,
we will ride the ancient equinox that lusts for our sacred senses uniting -

"I wear my hat as I please, indoors or out"
-Walt Whitman

I walk the land as I want,
the flutter of the dove shudders my
eyelids, dodging my step.
My soul, linking all souls, passes through
trees on my trail, bounding among planets
glimpsed between the apex of pine. I have
no fear of being beyond my body, nor
does the seed that falls from spent flower,
anguish beyond time. The unseen bloom,
millenial light-years away, shares
inherent liberty. Many will gather these
words and hold them to the highest light,
that of our Creator, whose compassion
trifles not with material gain, but with
justice and liberty for all living things,
(equal with respect to all previous
sufferings and triumphs centuries before)
So it is with high diligence I value the true
compass of man and woman, forever
linked with our inalienable rights, as
nature intends.
