The State of the Union and Our Popa Joe

Our President was fit and fierce
and there wasn't any stumbling.
He shared his vision openly
with out one moments fumbling..
These last four years our leader
has dealt with so much,
in spite of a opposition from a
Congress out of touch..
He spoke of our commonality and
those values that have gone astray.
Some Republicans squirmed in their
seats at the truths that he portrayed..
Thru many years of public service
he has brought his expertise, to the
table of a world now struggling daily
for world peace..
I must admit I'm super proud of our
"Popa Joe".
He showed the crowd and they were
wowed by where the U.S. needs to go!

A fine tribute to President Biden. When Congress up ends the political intentions of a President major change is blocked. Still, decency + honesty in the White House matters. Thank you for this posting. Be well. Brian

Nancy, love that you write what you feel about present-day politics. After a few years of 'gettin' into it' with those who have different opinions, I no longer wield a pen against Trump and those who swear he's a good man. How that has ever been misconceived is beyond my comprehension. I didn't listen to the speech, (although I heard the mad woman, MTG was being her obnoxious self)don't read political news, and don't miss the ridiculousness of what this country's government has become.

Dear Lin, I started being an environmental activist against a leaching landfill in Maryland and have always stayed active locally in politics. I know too many have different views then I do and I totally respect that. Here in Central Pa. now for the last few years, I just feel that I must remain involved to do my part to hinder another Donald Trump presidency. D.T. is currently hosting an autocrat from Hungary. Thanks for your visit and have a blessed evening..
