Emerging from sleep dream temerity,
his remote aurora spectral prisms
from which his wakefulness gives legerity,
from which surfaces new burgeoning aphorisms.

Truth’s contours arrayed in fluid fluency,
his morning ataraxia in the still water lake
from where his senses lose their truancy,
from where ideation sheds the opaque.

He finds repose in a moment's seclusion,
his lucid cortex in reflective possibility,
but he learns his real confirmation in inclusion,
and learns our fellowship best protects our fragility.

So quickly we imbrute each other with walls,
he knows how militarization is summoned by anxiety,
he weeps at the endless requiem protocols,
he grieves at history’s long cruel impropriety.

But he detects his promise in human need,
our struggle against forces of dehumanization,
our commission in communitarian creed,
our hope in human family realization.

Do not attempt to entertain with bold atrocities.
Do not think us lulled by mind numbing mediocrity.
The past the present meld, turn and burn with brash idiocy.
Unkindness will relent to core spirituality.

The horrors fed to masses freed or chained in lunacy,
will not debase the Grace of His supremacy.
Humanity WILL RISE, preserving the reality,
Not entertained nor lulled by governmental truancy!

SHATTERED
First published as Addiction 2021

Did the scarecrow ever leave Oz,
put his new brain in a bucket by the door
like an unwanted umbrella,
then go jogging back down the yellow brick road
to his post in the cornfield?

Did the crows again mock him,
marking his truancy like a flock of high priests,
their caw of unforgiveness invoking an evil wind
to carry it over the Emerald City,
shattering dreams into a million green shards?

                  My dreams lie shattered
                  on the floor of addiction,
                  no softness given
in the love of a substance
                  designed for degradation.

And duke
All these man-made titles
Make me want to puke

It’s such a load of crap
Pining for these freaks
This pedestal treatment
Friggin reeks

Oh you’re so much better than me
I’m so blind with admiration
That I can’t see

That you’re just like me
You live
You feel
You do as I do

But you act as though you’re the elite few
I can only see it for what it is
Just a load of crap you spew

All I can say of this lunacy
Is excuse my truancy

Realistic Goal

When life comes at us hard we have to rise to the occasion
If we cannot weather the storm we circum to a harsh invasion
Our hearts become invaded by those who bring us down
Our souls become possessed by questions with answers that cant be found
Why do we choose to be surrounded by people that tear us apart
Why not eliminate negativity and reclaim our natural heart
When others continue to beat you with their continuous rejection
We find ourselves stuck in search for positive affection
Why suffer the treatment they give us when walking away holds a chance
a chance to find something real something happy take a glance
look outside your walls and see what else surrounds where you are
Remember life is a choice don't let anyone contain you in a jar
Escape from unhealthy treatment surround yourself with respect
show those who take advantage of your kindness that you are no reject
If we continue to allow their behavior to dictate our emotion
We will never find those who truly give us their complete devotion
People want to treat us like they don't want us in their world at all
I say let them be they will no longer watch me fall
I want to be in a world where people like me and support what I believe
I'm tired of feeling like I'm living in a world where others choose to deceive
I want to feel accepted appreciated for the person I've become over the years
I refuse to believe I deserve these selfish piers
I'm breathing air that they tell us we deserve to share
Our opinions are hindered by our inner most fears
fear of being alone suffering wiping your own tears
I have been uncomfortable treated as If I don't exist
I am through with negative influences positive it what I insist
living under a thumb under a microscope like a failure or peasant
I want to live in a world where I am completely accepted because I am pleasant
to those who suffer these words I speak so fluently
If you reside in that kind of world you have reason for truancy
Walk away from misery find something that makes you feel whole
Because living free starts with this realistic goal

The Wings of a Dove

The way you speak,
The way you smile,
Makes my emotions leak;
For a while.
The intensity of our glances,
Always influence my heart to do prances.
Your caressing words,
Influencing the birds,
That fly in the sky,
Where truancy lies.
The dominate passion,
Suiting your fashion.
Surrounding our love,
With the wings of a dove.

Revelation comes and goes
like the tides by moon’s bent
sometimes rising to the cause
when not pulling away from shore

inconsistent if truth be told
even though the will is strong
wishing something to be said
as the shyness rules the day

to share the self outside of walls
constructed for safety’s sake
darting through the open doors
returning when the wind blows cold

forgive these failings in hindsight
exposure turned to truancy
please don’t judge what may come
look to future fates more kind.

How Time Flies

How far tomorrow seems in our eyes,
How fast it lands in our hands.
How hard we take the issues of life,
How easy they seem thereafter.
We get to sleep over our dream,
Not waking up for work when it ought.
We play truancy on hardwork,
Thinking we have all the time in the world.
So tell me, HOW OFTEN DOES NEXT TIME COMES?

We ignore important things,
Lacking the sense to delay gratification,
Wanting material satisfaction,
Starving vision, gallivanting, living a life without mission.

So someday, we can no longer make plans,
With white hairs sneaking out of our caps,
Then we regret not planning at the right time,
Because we knew, but ignored HOW TIME FLIES.

Fable Tenth

Fable Tenth
Fable Tenth

Administration

Fables of CharlaX
Truancy was the problem for the General Police the task force was taking
surveillance of the children in the world loose from schools at much too much an
age so young to be locked up to have any fun on streets so tough. The use of
drugs just cigarettes is up the money comes from illicit sex and theft just petty
theft can be a problem to the poor. When a wallet leaves the pocket it becomes
the community property of gangs. They usually toss the identification away. They
have no reason to keep anything except the money. Some more sophisticated
groups will use the credit cards but most children are only after wine beer and
smoke and cash is there quick fix. The police van eye noticed in the back was at
least two errant children there taken under guard to some detention center eye
suppose they were handcuffed and treated like any other criminals hopefully
there parents want them back at home.
In 1963 milk for students was 6 cents.
It jumped from a nickel one day to 7 cents but eye got mine for a long time for 6
because eye am cute. Wait it was just a nickel then eye just realized eye have
been robbed they was stealing all them pennies and hoarding them telling me
eye was cute to get the goods.
Eye the yew used to place the dimes in the march of dimes book the coins was
then taken from us once eye had a Quarter collection someone stole it. Eye am
sure it was the police or the Sheriff.
Eye put money in the envelopes at the Methodist Church but it never made me
wealthy in fact it seemed the wrong thing to do they took it and kept it no one ever
got it back.
Once when eye was trying to stay sober eye went camping with a dollar in my
wallet and kept it even when eye went in swimming and the dollar never got wet
and if it ever got wet then eye dried it on a rock wall to make it good again but eye
was from a small town and money was hard to find.

Ignorance

Who can bear
a trouble of another?
but the ignorant
impose that by leading people to accept their whim and trouble
because that is only what they
can muster to the world
if it is a lie
why, why, why,
why is abortion, stealing and corruption
why, why, why,
why is clash, conflict and war
why, why, why,
why is family problem, cheating and unknown killing
why, why, why,
why is truancy, dropout and illiteracy
why, why, why,
why is selfishness, ego and atheism
if it is a lie
why, why, why,
why is cultism, bribery and tribalism
if it is a lie
why, why, why,
why there is a house
built for prostitution
why, why, why,
why there is a house
built for drinking and gambling
if it is a lie
why, why, why,
why there is a house
built for magic, witchcraft and unknown immolation
if it is a lie
why, why, why,
why there is slavery and colonisation
if it is a lie
why, why, why
why the same trouble marker
will suspect and hang his trouble
to an innocent
I knew something dark
yet it is what is to be
morked through.

Insert Funky Bass Line

You're lost in the charm of a midnight ride,
as I imagine your body as the chest
where the ring resides.
Truancy of care;
hide ablaze and bare,
not an inch of YOU is spared.
A blank canvas,
you let me paint whatever the ( ) I want.
Mixed and swirled,
I paint an absent world;
makes your limbs unfurl.
Soft kiss on the lips,
a consummate eclipse.
Exquisite depravity;
got a feeling of anti-gravity.
Space in its multitude
has got no law governing me and you.
Deep inside sounds like a funky bass line;
got a perfect twang like two bodies intertwined.
Staring number three right in the face,
ubiquitous ecstasy has found its place.

Historical Heros

What's up with all this hatred in the world?
Off the top of my head I can name at least three people that could always see the "big
picture."
Dr.King used his knowledge and his speaking abilities to persuade people to become one.
Rosa Parks endured hardship just 'cause she sat in the front of the bus.
Malcolm X preached with authority and truancy.

Oops, I guess I can name four 'cause Michael loved the trees.
I'm not talking about the basketball star but the one who I always pray to before I dance.
I feel like I owe something to them but I always screw up.

I can make anything happen in my head but when it comes to words, It's better to let
Motormouth say the words in a two second story.
Why is it that no one kid WANTS to remember these names?
They were key players in this world in trying to make the world a better place.

"Yes we can" is what Obama said but are our hearts content?
We still do the idiotic things we did before but at least we don't have Bush to encourage
our rage.

Blues, Cues and Shoe Stews

Refuse to hang the innocent
While your gang acquits the guilty
In a tooth for a tooth pronouncement
You state in collusion with the mighty.

Accuse with the ruse in your news dissidents
Whipped into submission
To the coercion of incidents
Incorporated into a dictatorial diction.

Cruise out of control
With your weapons of avid annihilation
Primed to wiped out any pesky patrol
That surveys the sadness and sickness in your jubilation.

Freeze the breeze trees in infancy
Stunted when you hunt down their xylem
In a show of tethered truancy
Boosted by a nihilist anthem.

Use distorted dialogues
Conducted at cross purposes
In muted prologues and monologues
With enfeebled and emaciated faces bereft of choices.

Save knaves and staves
Slaves struggle to free from the tyranny
Perpetrated in war veteran graves
To whom you dished out a cashless cacophony.

Wave flaccid flags flown at half mast
As conflict casualties mount
When baskets of mourning cast
A dark pall on leadership lists of skills to discount.

Despair not. Repair the flare
No longer impotent, no longer content
As venom fangs bare
Death diadems an bother bandanas for the discontent.

In Trepidation

It was in reach for,
a chilling sensation.
           A flame of the moon.

The world shrinks.
You become ready
           for the direst consequences.

You deserve to be hurt
in the arms of truancy,
           without a trace of remorse.

The wounded breast.
It wanted to disappear?
            and come back in dark.

Frozen, the repeat hymn.
It lives in my heart.
How can I forget you,
             O, my tormentor !

A Continuous Today

For the past, the future was never apparent
its dormant projection lay in unformed
no thought ever counted it of concern

Time tripped and dawdled, discovering playful as children do
a continuous today absent of tomorrow
the truancy of sleep the night merely borrowed

Only questions to remember
more important than the befuddled them to answer
a nursery-rhyme of colour designed to wonder

Why,why, why didn’t care to reason
but considered the importance of knowing nothing
and still, and still be in covenant with everything

There was no path to tread, no spirit to seek
no doorway held fast by rusted hinge
no separation between exploring mind

All was held in a delicate of light
those angel hands of every child
so unembellished in their witness never defined

So it is as in the continuous today
until the futures chain to changeable edge
rattles the bars and locks us all away

Such a scarecrow death insinuates
and by contemptible depiction reiterates
damnations end of miracles
