Best Transcendent Poems
Now, I am speechless; I am without speech
As you transcend the simplistic to grand
Grant me the guidance of your gifted hand
In the temple of your pen, I beseech
To climb in your footsteps of verse, and reach
Green summits of imagery-laden lands
My throat growing tight as your voice expands
As my eyes feast on all you have to teach
Seeds planted long past still flower, untrimmed
Beyond the span of pink springs come and gone
Nor even the darkness of death can dim
Words lit luminous in eternal dawn
A timeless poet's timely passions brim
In lyrical legacy, sonnet drawn.

(this is an ode to my all time favorite poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay; if you would like to read some of her work, I recommend 'The Spring and the Fall', 'Dirge without Music', 'Prayer to Persephone', or the sonnet which begins 'Love is not all, it is not meat nor drink' or 'I shall forget you presently, my dear' - but I love all of it!)
Will you be loving me ‘til time is naught?
Your fingers only know of suppleness,
will they not flinch to touch skin wrinkle-fraught?
My beauty withers, cup reached emptiness…
Your love has set my heart aglow, renewed
‘tis ev’rytime your words lave over me...
Like soothing rain on desert sand subdued,
I soak it in, drunk for eternity
Do forgive me, for ever doubting you,
this pain has ravaged me, yet you’re still here.
‘Tis I you love, this I now know so true,
please stay with me, for death creeps in so near
Let saccharine lips meet for one last time
The windows close now, yet leave love sublime

magically,
unexpectedly
blossoms.

becoming
two peas in a pod.

pulled together

In interludes of self-reflection, whether in the state of consciousness or meditative, I accept that I am an immanent being, layered with imperfections. I am human. I make mistakes, but to live my life instilled with fear and without love would not be living.
my concept of life...
acceptance of immanence
I am not divine
I am not destined for permanence in this world. Through death, I will leave a void to be filled. Seekers of truth, open your inner sight and allow it to lead you towards enlightenment. Sing a melody during life's journey and set your spirit free. Sing a song, a symphony, to help you find your way. It's a cosmic affair, so bare your soul and find the bliss that awaits you there.
human souls reside
but for a moment on earth
waves on an ebb tide
Most will not live eternally; we are not the transcendent kind. There is only One who lives to reign, and we dare not disdain His right to claim the throne. God is transcendent and there will never be an amendment to that in this manifested world. He will not be dethroned by word or deed by some malcontented human having the need for a coup. Those who would dare cast shadows on His name have no respect for divinity.
God reigns o'er the world
do not query or doubt His
supernal glory
Immanent, at the heart of blood of the One who made
Me, I am part of the great I am, the flesh and bone of His
Magnificent creation. As concrete as the firmament of earth,
And as solid as the moon and stars that exist in the sky.
Nascent as the first rose of summer and first newborn child
Every fiber of my body is connected with tissue and brain.
New to this interplanetary home I often exist alone,
Transcending the overpass of life sometimes, go beyond.
Yet the lessons I have learned in this lifetime have been slow
Eager to experience the comforting light of the au de la,
To a higher order I have entrusted my journey towards home.
Transcending time and space I fly towards the Universal hub of
Reincarnation, checking my Akashic records and knowing that my
Algorithms have been installed in me long before I was born.
No greater joy on earth than moving upward and beyond, in a
Sacred manner. I breathe in, hold my breath, then breathe out
Climbing up the invisible ladder of spiritual success and
Enlightenment. All of His philosophical teachings given through
Nacre moments of pure intent. Like the Mother of Pearl when the
Dharma wheel turns I follow its winding path, without push I
Ease into the shift and become one with the Omnipotent Light.
Nascent as the first rose of summer, a first newborn child,
Trusting I will be well received, on the other side....
I found her in the forest,
the photosynthetic pigments,
the cleaved sunbeams between the trees.
I found her among the leaves,
in the ovate, the lanceolate,
the smooth, serrated, and lobed edges.
I found her in the gleeful toddlers,
the searching, jubilant preschoolers,
the wonderstruck, young ones.
So many ways, I felt her presence
on my journey,
I longed to acquire her wisdom,
but the acuity of her heart eluded me.
Soon, I came to a parable etched in rock.
A mother risks all for her child, it said.
In this way, your heart must be measureless.
Continuing my pilgrimage after hours,
I entered fabled buildings, abandoned shells.
In the sprawled graffiti, I saw these words:
Hate never finishes hate. Only love fantastic
holds this genius.
Even as I saw the truth of her words,
I studied my hands and felt meagerly human.
I continued my wayfare, many miles until daybreak.
I came to a river crossing, a place of becoming.
I discovered the next precept in river silt and mud:
Self-love is the mud and clay for loving others, it said.
Then I awoke to what I was missing, and she appeared.
She floated glistening, bright, and blissful before me.
Shanti, Shanti, my name is Guanyin.
Her voice rang like a bell.
You can now cross the river to learn love transcendent!
To chase away despair,
we love and we desire
for a joyous affair;
to love is being higher.
And lest our heart's well-fed,
it will take another:
a lover who's well-bred,
and not any other.
Love goes on forever;
it never ends or dies,
or ceases, if ever,
and bars its own demise.
So, if love's unending,
then our joy's transcending.
It was high on Mount Olympus
I first gazed upon my love
Although She lived below
I observed her from above
Back then it wasn't fitting
For those who live in grace
To fall in love with those
Born of the human race
But, she captivated me
So, one night I left my lair
And I traveled down to earth
To touch her face and stroke her hair
Her lips were lush and supple
As she lied there in my arms
She yielded to my Passion
While I surrendered to her charm
It seemed as time stood still
While I began to swoon
For She looked at me like Venus
As we made love on the moon
And with Apollo's morning light
A whole new life for me began
For She became my Goddess,
And I became her Man
A precious passing moment
Like silver dust or
Shooting stars
Blind us – for an instant
But fade into the dark
Never to be written
Never to be told
Doomed to be forgotten
More precious though than gold
Moments come and go
Moments good and moments sad
Moments lived and past
Yet moments make up hours,
Moments make up days,
Moments make up each month and year,
That make up every lifetime
So how are they forgotten?
Why are they to fade?
And as I pondered this
I happened to look out
I saw a shooting-star appear
Too brilliant with its light
It blinded for an instant
So powerful was its might
But then it disappeared
Fading from my sight
And I'm glad to look out again
Because now I can see
They're never to be written
Never meant to be told
They're not to be hung onto
They were never there for you to hold
Because moments come and go
Moments old and moments told
Moments lived and past
I waited for her for so many years
She lived within my imagination
When I first saw her I was breathless
She was beyond any expectation
She lived within my imagination
Until the day she stepped into my life
She was beyond any expectation
I've come to realize dreams do come true
Until the day she stepped into my life
There were so many doubts within my mind
I've come to learn that dreams do come true
Dreams sometimes happen when we are awake
There were so many doubts within my mind
I was unsure of how to live this life
Dreams sometimes happen when we are awake
My life began with her angelic smile
I was unsure of how to live this life
Somehow it seemed like living in a fog
My life began with her angelic smile
Eternity dwells with in her beauty
Somehow it seemed like living in a fog
When I first saw her I was breathless
Eternity dwells within her beauty
I waited for her for so many years
love trickled
streams of newness
over unchartered
regions of my body
revitalizing
all senses deep with in
percolating
rivers of love
flow from hidden
tributary
In the heavens of hell’s virginity,
Marble illuminates her being of celestial.
Lightening sparks bright into infinity,
Thunder roars, her beauty exceptional.
Harbored lost souls will regretfully reap,
Life as a mere nightmarish summation.
Spirits and demons cast in paradoxical sleep,
Crescendo in lullaby as chaos insinuation.
Voices in her head quicken into lulled insanity,
Devils cheer louder as deities cast lots.
Nails frantically digging fingers into profanity,
Twirling, twisting into nervous anxiety knots.
Light diminishing, no final wishes of resurrection,
Hell’s rapture continually fiction; allegorical.
Glassy limp last gaze at her endless rejection,
She surrenders in sleep to a false oracle.
Epochs race through time into virgin birth,
Clouds of other do play unknowingly blithe.
Voices and life of lost souls expresses mirth.
Silence is aware, commencing the riddles lithe.
Sweeping valley of frozen destiny, lovers wandered,
Rusty with the breeze those memories do sway.
Illuminated before them, thoughts of others squandered,
Fire and brimstone covered path leads the way.
In the waters of false prophesy the truth abounds,
The well of words dangerously wear at lover’s core.
Translucent, floating in noxious, thick surrounds,
Her beautiful bridal gown doth unfold before.
Flowing in the gentle wind of repeated history,
Revealing notions remaining quiet, long since been,
Exposing the secret pat, answers of mystery,
She lingers on air that has forsaken him long ago in sin.
TRANSCENDENT
Neither He is in churches,
Nor in temples;
He is with us,
He is within us.
Neither in Gurudwaras
Nor in mosque;
He is everywhere,
In common folk.
Neither in caves
Nor in woods;
But to be found
Everywhere, in, brotherhood.

Concealing and revealing, game divine
Pangs of separation, joy of union
This goes on till with the void we align
Unbroken then with God’s our communion
Bemused not in the world of illusion
We look for truth that flickers not with time
Nonchalant spirit, free from confusion
Renews within itself, God’s bliss beat chime
Our eye is single, full of love and light
The outer world holds for us no appeal
Centred in oneness by day and by night
We yet play our life role with zest and zeal
Distanced from outcomes, we’re always at ease ~
Flowing unfettered like the morning breeze

Telepathy is what binds us,
Similar minds and intellect,
Unsaid words are well heard and understood!
Soul to soul transfer,
Unseen are the places,
Visible to the spirits and well perceived !
Uncounted places and occasions,
Unplanned we always meet,
Idealistic are the meetings to memorise!
Fingers are eager to write,
Swift to move with thoughts,
Invariably at the same time exchange!
Words are all we have to cherish,
Rather than visit to the tunnel of love,
Purely platonic, relationship worth appreciation !!
