Love Transcendent

It was high on Mount Olympus
I first gazed upon my love
Although She lived below
I observed her from above

Back then it wasn't fitting
For those who live in grace
To fall in love with those
Born of the human race

But, she captivated me
So, one night I left my lair
And I traveled down to earth
To touch her face and stroke her hair

Her lips were lush and supple
As she lied there in my arms
She yielded to my Passion
While I surrendered to her charm

It seemed as time stood still
While I began to swoon
For She looked at me like Venus
As we made love on the moon

And with Apollo's morning light
A whole new life for me began
For She became my Goddess,
And I became her Man
