Premium Member Eternal Life and the Total Self

Life is but a fleeting whisper echoing through time,
never dying, always being- magnificent and sublime.
The body's a receptacle, a superficial shell,
but in it dwells the gift of Soul; eternity knows it well.

The Soul contains the truths of life,
to all that's ever been;
to all things now, and yet to come,
but guards them deep within.

The mind has hidden doors to Soul; we long to find the key,
unleash the vision waiting there, that lives eternally.
And so mind seeks to open wide, grasp firm the light of Soul.
and at that moment when it does, we know we will be whole.

So when we penetrate the shield
that stands between these two,
we will perceive with inner sight-
our Soul, complete and new.

If in this life, we cannot grasp this bond of Soul and mind,
we'll be reborn to live again, till total self we find.
We've been before, so many times; we've known many a past.
We'll be again- an echo in time, till mind and Soul are fast.

And when that final day does come,
at last to lift our Soul,
for Him to gather in His arms-
our perfect self- now whole.

Some religions, like Hinduism, believe in reincarnation which refines the soul by it living many lifetimes, and after it is perfected, goes back to God. My poem is based on that belief. So many people, including myself, have inner feelings or momentary flashbacks like they have lived before in another life.

A Total Enigma

I can’t be branded and put into a box
I’m a rhyme wrapped within a riddle a complete paradox
I won't carry the labels, or walk around with the stigma.
I am the great unknown a total enigma
I am an incomplete masterpiece, a beautiful disaster
I am the once upon a time and the happily ever after
I am realism, embedded within a parody
I am hesitation and doubt, clothed in certainty.
I am cause and effect, the inevitable reaction
I am the unattainable that brings complete satisfaction
I am an open book, and still a complete mystery.
I am a façade, covered in authenticity
I am assurance and conviction, facts draped in fiction
I am chaotic peace and silent confliction
I am the writing on the wall that you try to decode
I am a living saga, great legends untold
I am a conundrum, a million scattered puzzle pieces
I am the hypothesis that obliterates your thesis

Premium Member Solar-Lunar Wonder

Under the broad sweep of endless sky,
In that rare and hallowed moment
When the moon, in audacious stealth,
Edges before the sun,
A quietude descends, profound and deep.

The air, thick with anticipation,
Holds its breath;
The earth, in its tireless orbit,
Pauses—in reverence
To the grandeur to which we all belong.

This spectacle, this dance of light and shadow,
Where the day is night and the sun is dark,
Unveils the universe’s unfathomable mystery,
A reminder of our fleeting passage
In the boundless march of time.

As the corona flares,
A crown of light, ethereal and untouchable,
Encircles the shadowed moon—
A garnered glimpse into the sun’s hidden majesty.
In this moment, we are but specks,
Yet infinitely connected to the cosmic ballet.

This eclipse, eagerly awaited, a miracle witnessed,
Serves not just as a meeting of celestial bodies,
But as a bridge across the void,
Linking heart to heart, soul to soul,
To the very essence of existence itself.

In awe, we stand,
Observers of the universe’s embrace,
Witnesses to the endless dance
Of light and shadow,
Of time and space,
And the quiet, enduring marvel
That is life, in its myriad forms and fleeting beauty.

Total Eclipse of the Sun

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN

We watched horrified, awe-struck for hours while the sun died
Slowly, shorn of long golden locks, suffocated by the oncoming moon-rock.
Samson, blinded. His eyes bitten out - nothing left -
Devoured, destroyed : then completely consumed as he died in silence,
In his Stygian cave, as he gave up the ghost, as he left us alone.

Shadow of moon like a hunter’s pitch cloak encroached with vulture speed .
Birds, even the skylark, silenced, harking in their stark branches
For the inky wings of the angel of death, coming - not to Ramases - to us.
Bleak mark in the east dark: coming fast - it was upon us even as we asked
What is it? Grey through miles of mist, then raven-darker, as it closed on us,
Swooped us into its black veil, sunless, lightless, lifeless - where no bird sings,
And our breath stopped, held, unnoticed: and we, bereft, waited in mourning.

Till the sun -Samson- with re-grown bright hair poured out behind the moon,
Miraculously rose from the dead, pushed the black cave-stone into oblivion
And pierced a hole in the veil, burning that hole infinitely, gloriously,
And we were restored to life in the smile of heaven.

Note:

A total solar eclipse is an unforgettable sight. This poem is about such an
eclipse which I saw in Weyburn, Saskatchewan i n 1977. One cannot help
being struck by the loss of the sun in the daytime. Birds and animals also react
strangely. I recommend anyone to try to see a total solar eclipse if it is
possible. A partial solar eclipse, or a lunar eclipse, are not remotely as
spectacular as a total solar eclipse.

                                    Light Shines In Total Darkness

A moment in time where love should leave
                           when incompatibility muddy crystal waters
dissolves a tie that binds divine connection
widens the abyss as dream loudly shatters

Down on my knees I begged for a reprieve
gazes polarizing for to her nothing matters
in locked cages lay vestiges of desperation
intimacy now in tatters mutated to cinders

Aged moon will not commiserate then give
nebulous promises to stop onrushing tears
nor rays to light the path toward contrition
and turtle doves waving wings that glitters

Weary eyes reaching for salvation perceive
apparitions raising me up to alleviate fears
cleansing this heart throbbing in exultation
as grass springs anew...while grief withers.

Total War

Bitterness, loneliness,
Anger and pain,
Whole worlds suffer
Yet none may gain.
Frustration, futility,
Strife without end,
Mankind’s in the dust
Death comes as a friend.

Total Lunar Eclipse

It was a magical night
The sky was lit
By the glory of Luna
The full moon
Pondering this majestic night sky
I witnessed
The total lunar eclipse
The nature's grandest spectacle
The hypnotizing beauty in action
The dazzling scene
Of the blushing bride
Luna covering herself
With the charming reddish orange veil
The spectacular alignment
Of Sun, Earth and Luna in syzygy
Breathtaking sight to behold

The Secret of Total Gentleness and Aggression

Why people somewhere so kind and gentle
and somewhere not?
Why people in Saint-Petersburg ,
Moskow, Astana, Bishkek
Look so impolite, inhospitable and unfriendly?
Ask about it the happy inhabitants
or better look himself for what
is the best product of free society
this kind of people who lived in Basel, Antwerp, Quebec
with Oslo or those
who fast transformed for better sort of governing -
Turkian, Philippinians and Ukrainians possible also.

The people of free society and reason
or those who going out from ruling prison
appreciated choice and initiation
and marvelously transformed own identity
as those who better controlled themselves and government,
they hoped for only for freedom and own diligence
and make wonders gradiently
under the hand of free market invisible and patiently.

And what do you say about authoritarian and enslaved nation,
there are all people depended from will of corrupt guidelanes ,
where freedom, honesty and choices in total deficit?
Poor citisens there mentally downgraded
early or later hardened and stoned their souls to anthracite
for surviving in merciless and no free circumstances.
That was a clearly answer
for such sorts of questions -
why people somewhere so kind and gentle
and somewhere not?

Total Destruction

< Destruction of beautiful mother earth
Will it spin off mantel like head to gawk
Or destroyed by mankind for what it's worth

Floods fires quakes acts from natures own birth
                                     Litterbugs arsonists terrorists balks
                                     Destruction of beautiful mother earth

                                    Illuminate waters that someone hurts
Cleanliness is painted in Godly chalk
Or destroyed by mankind for what it's worth

Man woman and even thy smallest mirth
For thy Father in our Heaven will stalk
                                    Destruction of beautiful mother earth

Eagle that soars a wolf howling from girth
Will thy it's freedom ring out thus like the hawk
Or destroyed by mankind for what it's worth

Like land before time when man walked
Wonder how forces existed and talked
                                   Destruction of beautiful mother earth
Or destroyed by mankind for what it's worth

Total Darkness - Biggest Fear

When I was just a little girl - around the age of three.
My eye doctor said something - that still to this day haunts me!
He said that although my eyes would continually worsen - that I would not go blind!
How could this be possible - really blows my mind!

In all the places I live - the rooms I memorize.
So that if this should befall me - it's not such a surprise!
I make sure my cats collars jungle - so over them I do not trip.
I keep the floors clear of debris - so I won't take a slip.

You may deem me a bit paranoid - and that may be the case.
When so many others - this fear they had to face!
Everything happens for a reason - I've believed this all my life!
I've gained quite a bit of wisdom - through my struggles and strife.

Should blindness overtake me - I'll focus upon my Spirituality!
Drawing on the love and support - of my friends and family!
I have many blessings - that daily I do count!
And if you really stop to think - that's what life is all about!
