Premium Member Treat For Our Kitties

Having lived with various cats as great pets
we praise* God for their calm presence, so warm
never giving harm, purring with sweet charm
cheering, when from fear of mice, each heart frets.

For occasions we celebrate with bliss
our cats graciously welcome every guest
making them feel at home along meow’s zest
feasting sumptuously; such not to miss.

In our home devoid of Halloween night
our Kitties display their odd feline tricks
while wowed by TV shows of bizarre pix
watching fellow cats of costumes delight.

Soon they will feast on their favorite meal
rice and fish mixed with vegetable relish
so pleased are they amidst nutritious dish
enjoying gracious treat around friendship* zeal.

*Psalm 145:10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD…

Premium Member Unafraid

If I weren’t afraid, I’d…

… feast sumptuously, satiating my cravings midst well-being’s fullness

… feature myself along my twelve-month color scheme of saintly fashion

… fly over Mt. Everest, then trek at its pinnacle with my gratitude flag

… free all biblically righteous activists, accused as religious fugitives

… fathom futility’s frame against frustration-fall

… flee to family’s joyous feedings around blessings’ flow

… fulfill my own desires, defying folly’s flair

… fire-up my heart’s fixations…

Fueled by God,
firmly I cling to Him, thanking Him
for putting in my heart
fear* that's reverential so by
faith I can
freely obey and willingly
follow Him along holiness-bliss of
fervency’s fortitude.

*Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Pope Benedict Xvi Chants Pater Noster

The Pope Benedict XVI chants, " Pater Noster " with a voice not so grand
while distracting himself by gazing at God's outstretched hand
that Michelangelo painted so well
on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

This is a Gregorian chant with music sumptuously composed
by monastery monks whose life dedication was to preserve knowledge
despite the barbaric invasions that they constantly endured...
they knew that their song of celestial sound would survive another age.

He is not wearing a tiara decorated with stones as other popes have,
perhaps it is to express his true humbleness towards God Himself,
that the power of a crown is a selfish manifestation of earthly power,
so on his feeble knees he prays for all, "Pater Noster. "

And while controversy about his birth and ancestry is absurd and unfair,
he's breaking down the barriers of prejudice and race laboriously...
although he came from a nation that conquered and slaughtered without pity;
let us join this selfless servant of our merciful God by chanting, " Pater Noster. "

Before the almightiness of the delighted Creator with " Pater Noster qui es in caelis, "
he displays his devotion for Him and admiration for the artistic hands of tireless bone
that embellished the ceiling of the Sacellum Sixtinum: a gem of the Renaissance;
Rome is in constant transformation, and here Pope Benedict XVI lays another stone.

English translation: Pater Noster qui es in caelis:
Our Father who art in Heaven

Premium Member Immortality

Ancient philosophies insist on Immortality,
Theologies hold of its unavoidability;
As many old religions, so thought Christianity:
That Immortality is God's gift to humanity.

Reincarnation - charmingly the Indology holds,
Life, death, and rebirth cycle of Samsara bold unfolds;
How happy I am to be born as a lotus or rose,
Yet, lo, at the thought of their tentativeness, I repose.

Existentialism has evoked my thoughts rather deeply,
The nullity and barrenness of the birth-death chiefly;
If so why, in this world, do I need to live this life hard?
When I know the cruel death char and make everything marred?

I get dreams, sometimes, I am dead and solemnly buried,
Angels carry me; to Abraham's lap I am hurried;
At other times I am like chicken or mutton roasted,
Within endless ovens of deepest hell till exhausted.

I see my coffin in the womb of the earth just breaking,
Some seed, within me hiding, getting fervently cracking;
Me growing into plants unknown, springing and blossoming,
Pollinating, growing, spreading out, and keep creating...

In the end, lo, I do not know anything about it.
Yet, again, if I might try in my own words to put it:
It's like asking the taste of honey to a newborn kid,
How can it be said before, at least once, not tasting it?

Yet, do not wait, dear people, to taste immortality!
It's lying here! In everything! Taste it sumptuously!
Love! Go on loving! Get loved! Hated! Go limitlessly!
Gain whatever you want to gain out of this life! Fully!

Visions of the Fourth Man

Agony has vanquished amist the smoldering abyss of the sirens flame.
Peace rages within my soul as my heart clings to the cataclysm of freedoms
whisper.
The flaws of the fiery furnace were expediently exposed by Elohim's Angel of
ages.
My apparel omits neither fragrance nor ashen residue, as only my shackles were
tempted by the seething sadism of the infernos tantrum.
Shadows of the Christ - Man cometh, to liberate my mortal being from carnal
captivity in an era before He Himself would be adorned with flesh, in order that
He might emancipate my spirit from the furnace of death.
I rejoice with my brothers as we sip sumptuously upon the celestial dew of
salvation, sporadically spun from the tapestry of Elshaddai's sartorial splendor.

Premium Member New Vision

Love laps at the shore of my heart.
Kinetically connected to kindness
my soul basks sumptuously in the
sunshine of creation.

All thoughts of bitterness dissolved
and washed away down the drainpipe
of despondency, mingling with misery
and disappearing from view.

All is as new. Blank page uncluttered
with the disarray of disillusionment.
Clean slate unsullied by the sullenness
of sulky solemnity.

Tradition tempered with tantalizing
innovation. History harmonized
with modish originality.
Awash with adoration of the sentient

I make a new vow of vociferous
worship to the universal source
of our invention - for the grace
of a God who loves unconditionally.

The architect of my soul.
The author of existence and the great
writer of this infinite infinity
called Life.

Let love always lap at the shores
of my heart. Make me part of
this new inception. Make me an instrument
of a new resounding peace -

a piece in the jig-saw of perpetuity;
A herald of an innovative message
of hopeful anticipation; a bearer
of the torch of tranquility.

To all the world - truce, treaty,
an armistice in Armageddon - Amen

Soul Food Restaurant

SOUL FOOD RESTAURANT
When you visit your favorite soul food spot,
 Along with your faithful friends,
What you'll eat any given day,
On your tastes it all depends.
 The selections are quite varied
And the menu might read like this:
For breakfast Country Ham and Eggs,
 With biscuits and cheese grits,
 For Lunch : Neckbones, Catfish,
 Smothered Chicken,
 Pork Chops and Pigs Feet.
 Everything looks so delicious,
And these are just the meats.
 The vegetables you might enjoy,
 include greens, squash, and black-eyed peas;
Or you might want fried corn and pinto beans,
 Along with macaroni and cheese.
What ever it is that you decide,
It's sure to hit the spot,
 It'll come to your booth,
 Fresh and piping hot.
Be prepared to sit a spell,
 Cause you won't want to move;
For you will have dined most sumptuously,
As your clean plate will prove.

Along the Way, as we Press-on, there comes a time when we....

LET...
Gratitude's embers saturate entirely
as one is lifted high above…
the accumulated clamor of needs, wants,
desires...for things...that laden and dim
the beneficence of...
His Majesty
and
Perfection
IGNORE...
The vast concerns that sway the mind and dull
the senses of Him ...
of His ultimate fullness
...enter into His overflowing harvest of...
sustenance and luxe
THERE ...
Where the unearthly beauty of adoring
doth glisten...cajoling...
the splendor of thankfulness and homage
that gush from the surrendered heart...
to bathe...in the Celestial Sea
of ...His Love's bestowing...
TARRY...
In the Wealth of…Him
seeing Him and Him alone
for all that He truly is...
the So Worthy Creator and Keeper of our Souls,
Provider of Peaceful moments...such as this...
where we rest...upon His sweet bed of ...Assurance
JESUS...
Like a bay leaf
full of dew...You...spread Yourself
before us and we fare...sumptuously...
on Your Excellence!
Yea! With amorous gaze of worship
our heart, mind, soul and body agree...
Surely, there can be no doubt...
THOU ART GOD!!!

Revelation's Optical Illusion

Quintessentially phantasmagoric,
  her cobalt skies' chimerical fancy
     whores itself out for poetry,
sumptuously cached 'tween
    a revelation's optical illusion
enchanting white knights
     and seducing dragons alike,
her flimflam elusively lofty
& difficult to evermore be captured
    amidst celestial spheres of rapture

The Earth Plunge

It’s hazy… opaque… clamour… and frizzy
My mind froze and clamours
It’s intense, grumpy, and rampant
Yet an image skewed, freckled and afar

Ding...Ding...ding…
Musical but torrent my head is screwed
Knocked up and nuts became loose
Thunderous and thumping bolt in my mind

A lament! A hymn... fading in the distance
Reverberated like a long lost song
A synagogue marching in a single line
Face concealing garments swaying from side to side
From the morgue murmuring and mumbling

Oh! What a poor restful soul
Wrapped and helpless in a black loin
Suffering inside but without tears
Held in procession to the yard
Graves that consumes sumptuously

Anguish and agony antagonised the atmosphere
With occasional litany now and then
Young and old looked up and wiped off their tears
Blamelessly they tell but only tale stories
Stories bringing burden and sorrow

No Funnier Laughter

No funnier laughter
sounds like this laughter...
when its pitch vibrates as sound;
I may giggle at times, but I'm always kind!

Who will tackle me and make me laugh louder than clowns
by telling me those jokes you heard somewhere?
Were they told by travelers roaming cities and towns,
or were they written down on some rough paper?

Oh, humor you make life sumptuously grand...
when all one needs is the company of some friend!
Sit down and let's tell each other stories that satisfy our literary itch;
let's unearth stories of the famous and the infamous, of the humble and the rich!

No funnier laughter
is heard around the entire globe;
you may hurt your ear's lobe...
when I laugh harder than Cher!

Unsatisfied of Others

Great girdle! She cried.
What happenstance have we happened upon?
Have the two nitwits knocked themselves silly with hammers?
What is the sensitivity they seek so?
She heaves humbly a sigh sumptuously,
As if the scene had the heavenly smells of Harvard halls, the musk of her haberdashery
And wondered how she could fit into such a simple equation

Free Cee Hold Me At My Threshold

A THRESHOLD FORETOLD

I but strolled over my unadorned threshold
And what, of all things, did mine eyes behold
Begged I let not this be she
The she I was meant to meet yet hoped she not be the she I prayed she would not turn out to be
And then she sighed to speak to me
And spoke my name as only a seraphim could
Then suddenly was the sublime, by me, at last wholly understood
Oh that she is the she who shone so shamelessly
Shaming the sun while daring to amble by aimlessly
Beside a man who saw her countenance too long denied
And there she was right by my side
But it matters not that she will never be the she for my arms to enfold
For all I did was to stroll over my unadorned threshold
And there she was brighter than Cleopatra’s gold
Able to beguile even DaVinci with the vision of Mona Lisa’s smile
Breaking a spell I’d been in for far too long a while
Brightening my darkness with her sumptuous style
A woman more engaging than ever I’d been told
And now I’m so thankful for the few moments she adorned my threshold
A door which led me to a golden rose with no slivered nor sharpened thorn
And finally it was my threshold she arrived to adamantly adorn
Beauty by breathlessness born
And how to conquer with her warmth my callous cold
Oh, and forever I will recall how she sultrily and sumptuously adorned my threshold

A Defaced Beauty

Rome seems a defaced beauty
with its past specters roaming aimlessly,
not finding the home where they once lived sumptuously;
ruins upon ruins: marble, cement,
grass, weeds, and streets with cobblestones.
One thing hasn't changed: the splendor and the glory
that Rome once was, never faded from their thoughts...
greeting Julius Caesar returning from another conquest!

Plautus, Livy, Horace, Virgil, and many others were
the testimony of its greatness never seen before,
alas, its sorrowful downfall came at a dear cost:
death, lawlessness, and looting became rampant!

Barbarians came down from the North burning,
destroying everything in their path; alas, civilization crumbled
and surrendered to the horror of hooves pounding hard!
Ah, who witnessed the toppling of Vesta's Holy Fire?
Ah, who heard the terrifying cry of the Vestal Virgins?
Mothers grabbing their newborns escaping on chariots...
while their husbands gathered pamphlets fearing
their loss would be a great loss of all knowledge and civility
that every citizen and foreigner admired for their vitality!
Did writers and poets jot down the last images feeling the unbearable dire?
Did they run off on Berbers taking them to a town known for its tranquility?

Had I lived in ancient Rome, I would have been another poet
describing her stunning beauty now defaced, stripped of all its might;
what was saved through centuries gives us a glimpse of a vast
empire that lasted long enough to set its sublime glory in stone!
Will we persevere in its ideals and preserve them more than a shining light?
Could we encounter another dark age and start our journey alone?
