Best Stagnated Poems
His coffin was lowered deep into the ground,
they sprinkled cold earth, tears fell without sound.
From low in the grave echoed several loud knocks,
seemingly coming from under the box.
The mourners’ eyes widened, they turned tail and fled,
fearing such noise would awaken the dead.
The graveyard fell empty, the rapping returned,
now sorrow’s fresh roses lay withered and burned.
A guttural voice mocked ‘Knock knock dear departed,
I have come to complete the transaction we started’
‘What do you want?’a frail voice replied.
‘Please leave me in peace, I have only just died’
Malevolent laughter stagnated the breeze,
all earthly sounds suffocated with ease.
‘It seems you’ve forgotten the tryst that was planned
for the day your spent life was entombed in this land.
To pay for your years of excess and deceit,
you mortgaged your soul, I have the receipt.’
Amid cries for mercy, and spine chilling screams
the casket’s wood splintered as Satan slipped through the seams.

My love was magical, under the spell of your deception
With every breath I take, you were one step closer to killing my heart
Thoughts of us, used to make me dream of heaven
Now my dreams are to send you to hell
You’re a fading vision, a man in prison, as I was blinded by your charm
Understanding now, you're the devil, is soothing to my broken wings
I used to cry, I will never fly, you took it all away
If I could I would hold you tight, and choke you till you pay
I whisper prayers, every night, lord forgive my vengeful heart
I wish to be free of bitter feelings he instilled deep within my soul
I lie awake as tears fall down; he stole my faith in man
I just thank god, that now he’s serving, ten years in a federal can
Notes: Again Tim Smith was kind enough to allow me to write a different poem based on his poem and the title, thank-you. I recommend you read his poem first before this one. With a touch of humor I started to write this from a woman’s point of view and the opposite of new love, from a stagnated relationship. However as I was writing, it made me think of Ray Rice and his now wife Janay that he belted in an elevator, and upon discussing with Tim, we decided to dedicate this poem to battered woman, and pray that society will condone this behavior.

'The Angel Cries At Night''
I heard an angel speak last night and he said ''write''
and bring enlightenment to this dark place,
the hollowness that prevails
breaks my silence
I writhe in agony
to see the despicable dead
restless and infuriated
daunted by their formidable grave
they long for salvation...
My stagnated beauty is futile...
Alas ! I cannot restore their lives..
the dead leaves pay their homage
where the ALIVE one fails to visit...

Old age can be a lonely time for some;
friends fade to acquaintances; slip away.
Though your achievements bolster your resume,
they've stagnated with time and seem humdrum.
The atrocities of wars left you numb;
morals sink when hate is a stowaway.
And as the future gets bleaker each day,
you're left discombobulated and glum.
Children have lost the wonderment of youth,
comparing friends to likes; they interface.
Love's still spontaneous, but unlike hate,
it's an elusive, transitory truth.
Hypocrisy and lies are commonplace,
and death can seem a less frightening fate.

Italian Sonnet
Rosy rains still keep dapping on me, rippling into me, trickling in me
My sentiment and sentimentality set into sediment like descending haze
Settled, stagnated, then crystalized into concrete and constant gaze
Gaze from adrift to assured, from timid to fuss-free
Where her long-winded Hebe falls upon my sensuous serendipity
My short-winded romance catches upon her contagious catholicity
Through and o'er million-mile-long cascade of rains
Romance-woven, rose-waved, rushing curtain after curtain
My gaze meets the Grace of Venus' veins
Venus' veins from blear to clear, from confused to certain
Splicing and brightening each inspiring spot
Along each dimensionality of the whole universe
So perfectly the vast vivacity fits into my sensorial slot
That my everything rhymes and roils with its magnificent verse
Far and wide anacampserote describes
Far and wide rosy tides arise
From the perigee of my sights to the aphelion of her skies
From the margin of my mind to the adytum of her vibes
Harking back to earlier path strewn with romances of royal grith
Hearkening forward to future favors featuring our millennial myth
Reachable osculation, ne'er has remote oneirism so uncannily overlapped
Raying reality, ne'er has rainy romance so snugly wrapped.

i havent written anything in ages,i sit inspirationless pen hovering above blank pages
my creative juices have evaporated,i'm mentally constipated, thoughts stagnated trapped in a room thats locked and gated. My minds a black hole in which ideas evolve
but getting them out's an enigma stephen hawking could'nt solve.i'll hire an imaginary crop sprayer and take off on a sortee i'll spray my brain with laxative and wd40.But it could be too much and i'll realise my fears my brain will be crushed under a deluge of ideas,i'll go to the doctor and ask for a lotion ''sure rub some of this on your head son,it's called thousand notion potion''.my brain is like a boiler thats about to blow'i need a tiny plumber, with a tiny wrench to release it very slow, but if it breaks off too quickly,no refuge can be sought he can ski to safety on an avalanche of ideas a thinking mans olympic sport. If all my efforts fail at cerebral extrusion, then sad as it is i'm left with only one conclusion,i'll hang up my quill and pay the tiny plumbers extortionate bill.As sure as a boxer who loses his arms is no longer a fighter a poet who does not use his pen is no longer a writer

I accuse..... Part 2
My parents who instructed me,and to the letter follow
Kneel only to God,to people never my head bow
I was next line to promotion yet rebuffed to kowtow
Long stagnated and ached my way to elbow
My wife who spent elongated years galore
Taming an old curved rusty nail and implore
God I cease minding the home business no more
Her undisputed realm and sovereignty restore
My offspring who at meal times would engage
In heat, intensive debate and seek to enrage
Their begetter who on them conferred archery
Yet shot me once they attained full mastery
Yet could medication be of any use
To what a whole epoch has abused ?

Always been judgemental,
Needing right now to relax,
Strip me back to elemental,
I’m coming straight out of K-pax.
Never been one to follow the mainstream,
Finding it hard to be spoon fed,
A light in my chest I intend to have full beam,
Body and soul climb out the marital bed.
Feeling like i’ve wandered to help this earth,
I became stuck, stagnated, despaired,
Each day we move closer to re-birth,
when we reach the other side we’ll see how I faired.

you dont think it can go wrong it dosent enter your thoughts
innocent optomism when you first dated... its complicated
a picket fence house a beautiful wife perfect life created
emotion spent passion stagnated... its complicated
did it die over time or like a candle wick with the pinch of wet fingers
is it dead or can it be re-animated...its complicated
you try one last time to re-kindle the spark a candle lit dinner
a walk in the park where you first dated...its complicated
golden rings removed the wedding day token a promise of eternal love
words that are spoken a partner once loved a person now hated...its complicated
the anger and bitterness comes to a head like a puss filled pimple
so you sqeeze...nothing lasts forever...its simple

Low spirits and utter despair,
She had lost all her flair,
Time stagnated !
How long could the wait last,
Dejected heart to the full to blast,
Incurable hopeless !
Sun could not shadow gloominess,
Her very being deprived of happiness,
Hope against hope !
The injury quite a deep and severe,
His vengeance extremely clear,
The wretchedness !
Don't suppress else will depress,
Just look beyond there's life,
End up melancholy, live to strife,
Shun sadness !
No recession can everlast,
Essential to counter depression is,
Dispassion,
Dissociate,
Flagellate,
Backfire,
Slam your passion !
Be sassy and warble !!

Free verse
Say what you need to say,
but mean what you say
& say what you mean.
The ultimate gift of a God.
The ability to create or destroy
anything!
Spoken into existence,
but first conceived as a thought.
Be conscious of your mind intake,
& the lessions that it's taught.
Guard your mind & words,
as does a pirate protects his gold.
An speak prosperous things,
because you shall reap what you sow.
Because your words determine your
actions & your actions determine
your fate.
A negative person levitates with out
no purpose...stagnated...unaware
of their place.
If you think it...& then speak it,
it shall be as you desire.
I came from nothing...made something...
the hottest coal in the fire.
An these blessings rain on me,
as if I was taking a shower.
But, my tongue is the diamond
that has created this magnificent power!
The Power of Words.

Looking back at the past to long
Blinds the future.
Concentrate our strength
Bundle-up our individual thoughts.
Use your God-mind, we are stronger together.
Unity moves mountains.
Look up at the sun and see the clearing sky.
We cannot spare the straying lamb.
Those who would harm us must not succeed.
God is greater than any man;
Together we must stand.
Backward never, let’s stick together;
Or we won’t advance. Stuck in the avalanche
Of backward thinking,
Keeps new thought horizons sinking.
Looking back at the past to long
Blinds the future.
We are humanity, the spine that binds morality…
We are here just like you,
No-one made one race the judge,
Help carry life's accumulated burdens
Instead of the old tired grudge.
Let us feel, let us pray universal sorrow away.
Let us do things in God's way,
listen to the voice within.
Sin may be buried deep within,
from years of hearing dirt.
Planted inside of innocent souls
are years of angry hurt.
Generations, now only passes through,
Never accomplishing what they came to do.
Buried in sin and evil thoughts,
Keeps mankind's soul tied up in knots.
Meditate, and God will speak.
Listen to the quiet voice within.
He promised never to leave you.
Nor ever to lead you astray;
He made us for his good purpose,
And some got lost along the way.
Look deep within, and find that purpose.
Been looking back too long.
Staring in life's rearview,
Blinds the future of our strong.
Weakly bellowing out misunderstood songs.
That third verse is not healing,
Yet, perpetuates all the wrongs.
Concentrate on our strengths
Bundle up your thoughts as one.
Use your God-mind,
In this new day and time.
We are stronger together.
Unity moves mountains.
Making life better.
Look up at the sun.
See the clearing sky.
We cannot spare the straying lamb.
God said,” I Am that I am”.
Unity moves mountains.
Let us drink from God's flowing fountain.
Drink not the stagnated water of evil deeds;
Those who would harm us must not succeed.
God is greater than any man:
Together we must take one stand.
Backward never, let’s stick together.
....He made us for his good purpose!

Prose Poetry
We speak words of wonder
We speak words of doom
We wonder why we fight again
Maybe it's too soon
We have thoughts of beauty
We have thoughts of technology
Our thoughts are disrupted by the constant technological barrage
Ironically the ideas that created this technology were applied in a garage
Not in a fancy office with a worlds worth of knowledge just a click away
The thought was that this technology would help us evolve as a race
It has in many ways however it's stagnated many lives
With the ease of technology today the general public have closed their eyes
To the corruption that runs rampant in so many forms
To the possibility that we can rise above the norm
The situation isn't hopeless
Just start to think about this

Couplet
we're living in an era of ignorance
we lost our innocense
at fourteen your too young to vote but old enough for death sentences
these politcians are hypocrits
for the atrocities that they commit we face imprisonment
durring this pro American sentiment
how could we forget the scores of poor ignored
while we finance a war
that bombs then rebuilds them
feed their children
while the ones back home
have to fend for their own
life is wonderul and miserable depends on the time frame
the birth of Almasi(my son) the death of Dwayne(my cousin)
I went bezerk it hurt clutching his blood soaked shirt
while he lay on the Earth leaking blood on the dirt
I cried to the sky please guide me father
at times this world is so dark I need night vision goggles
i lost friends to ignorance
bullets and jail stints
drug habbits and various patterns of bull ish
I've navigating through dangerous
streets trying to claim us
beast trying to tame us
friends turned to strangers
I have ducked heat from flammers
by mennacing strangers
thinking I will survive like gloria gaylor
its a small world but I got big plans
but it gets hard like trying to jog through quicksand
but I found GOD on both knees with cluthced hands
but kept getting invitations from the Devil to dance
so i went below the surface
became more observant
hand shakes are fake they dont mean a thing
a smile can be a predator preparing his fangs
I severed ties with friends who's minds were stagnated
had king pin dreams but never quite made it
friendships were torn
and habbits were formed
and the ones who escaped crack
heroin snatched
and I engaged in acts that were so unGodly
only he can judge me punish me or pardon me
watching this world makes me shed eye water
our sons get slaughtered and denegrated ours daughters
its the sign of the times cant you see that people
first it rained airplanes then the mail was lethal
ghetto youths indisputes they spray A.K s
suburban kids throw pipebombs in school hallways
after so many years of feeding violence to youths
I guess those chickens came home to roost
