Depression

Low spirits and utter despair, She had lost all her flair, Time stagnated ! How long could the wait last, Dejected heart to the full to blast, Incurable hopeless ! Sun could not shadow gloominess, Her very being deprived of happiness, Hope against hope ! The injury quite a deep and severe, His vengeance extremely clear, The wretchedness ! Don't suppress else will depress, Just look beyond there's life, End up melancholy, live to strife, Shun sadness ! No recession can everlast, Essential to counter depression is, Dispassion, Dissociate, Flagellate, Backfire, Slam your passion ! Be sassy and warble !! My aunt has struggled with depression for 10 years, and it has not been easy for my family to watch her go through that. I hope there will be a cure someday... Congratulations on your win with this uplifting and expressive write! Nicely done, Dr. Upma!

Dear Dr. Upma, How I wish my mother could have seen this poem. When she died in 1984, depression was an undiagnosed affliction. I'm sure it led to hear heart attack though. I love the last verse as it offers suggestions and hope for those who battle depression. (I feel it sometimes too, but not every day like mom.) Love, Carolyn

Oh Carolyn thnx for liking this one,, sad to know about ur mother,,, depression can really be lethal,, i too feel sometimes but yes not too often as u said ,,, but then if u know, few drugs do wonders ! thnx for being there dear !
