Premium Member Love of Nature
Whether ocean or mountain with valley green
or every deep forest in between

My love for Nature fills my eyes
With every creature of Earth and sky

The changing hues on quiet display
From dawn's red light to twilight's gray

With moon that splays its beams so far
A match lit night...

Premium Member Our Love Is Eternal
Our soul's luminous light filters the depth of darkness
shining like a woven thread into the stillness of time
It was there where we met, in a universe long forgotten
where we merged wrapped in the twilight of breaking dawn

We've known love in worlds that have passed
before we...

Mellifluous Autumn
Apples ripen pink, hotly blushing,
though the ardent yellow sun grows faint;
blackbirds sucking soft honeyed sweetness.
like babies at breast, show no restraint.

Mellow ripeness splays rich-toned color;
the trees raise scarlet armed applause.
Red-brown and gray, small creatures hurry
stowing provisions for winter's pause.

Premium Member Aspens Quake: Hexsonnetta
The copse of aspens quake.
Horses graze and cows laze
as languid summer splays
emeralds in its wake,
low fields to overtake
the prospect's cyan glaze.

Immutable the sun
in lambent saffron drape
above the lucid scape
contemplates the glisten,
auscultates the paean,
the whispering of crepe

as runes the leaves impart
to dulcify the heart.*

*Hexsonnetta is a...

His Last Kiss
Raven hair splays across her pillow in soft waves.
Olive skin as smooth as the satin on which she lays.

Golden locket with their images, rests upon her throat.
His heart wrenching pain, hidden, as the gun neath his coat.

His last kiss as soft as her dusty pink...

Premium Member Nature's Serenity
I sit in silence with my thoughts
to watch the sun slowly rise, on the red ribbon of dawn
as it splays its glorious glow across the flowering meadow
casting small shadows in motion dancing with the grass

Beyond the patch of purple asters, in the morning's mist
I see...

Balance Tips the Scales
It twas dark, a hen's night
stillness abandoned the fright
knocks echoed freely
and here her presence was felt

Chimera fragments an innate realm
unbeknownst reasons dare overwhelm

A shoulder-companion gone lain
unearthed my being hath slain
seams seared and baked
rivers red hot, unadultered...

Giraffe At the Watering Hole
Giraffe at the watering hole

She splays her forelegs one at a time
levering, leaving dignity
behind, easing down to a
half sideways split; then bends
to drink, hoping no
lion arrives
blood-blushing
head rush
up...

Premium Member To Be In Love
To be in love along the rushing shore
And hear sounds from your heartbeat to enslave
To kiss your hungry lips, then wanting more
Obtaining love's desire, its constant crave
Besot, beneath this dazzled sky, I find
Love's lightning splays a light that clears my view
Such echoed worlds, warm soft...

Tozzath
Pellucid pachyderms wade across
the purpling River Manjees
and Tozzath watches from the bank,
the seat of his maroon pantaloons soaked with mud,
his nostrils flaring with the fragrance of ombadalias,
whose lacey petals flutter
like the wings of long-dead butterflies,
bestirred by ghoulish breezes,
the colors bleeding from moribund antennae,
slim as...

Premium Member Passing Days
The end of the day splays on my window sill
Complete with soft rays from the setting sun
That casts long shadows from an oak tree
To be painted on my shirt before day's done

Night creeps in at its own pace.
The windows open, feeling a cool breeze.
My dog...

Premium Member The Sense of Love
To slowly drift in a dream,
where hearts flutter,
and love's face glows in all its color.

to float away into the night,
as the soul captures love's fire,
holding its flame with a gentle hand.

to feel petals of passion's flower,
where fragrance flows from its bloom,
caressing the yearning for its...

The heart of the meadow
is a solitude of wonder that stretches to the horizon
where a red ribbon offers the awakening dawn
in a paradise of glorious glow
that reflect in my eyes of wonder

Where silence is welcomed
by a mortal soul yearning
for a painted palette of color
that begins...

24:Drops of color splinter from the crystal’s sharp edges--
From the hard clearness,
Blue splays
Orange dances
Green jumps
Purple plays
As yellow mellows
Down the hot day.
Even through the dust
that filters light’s passage,
Rainbow’s essence delights the ceiling.
Beams win against a decade of unwashed window....

Premium Member Winter Comes Early In the Mountains
Rugged mountain peaks are now snow-capped
Wintry weather creeps down with passing days,
The lips on the blossoms are faded and chapped.

Many of the larger critters are sadly trapped,
For they have not adjusted to our urban ways
Rugged mountain peaks are now snow-capped.

Tall, spindly pines are in thin...
