Giraffe At the Watering Hole

Giraffe at the watering hole

	
She splays her forelegs one at a time
levering, leaving dignity 
behind, easing down to a 
half sideways split; then bends
to drink, hoping no 
lion arrives
blood-blushing
head rush
up
