Take a deep breath
Let yourself relax
Close your eyes
Come with me

Inhale
Exhale

Let me guide you
I’ll take you on a magical journey

Give in to the moment
Relax
Breathe
Close your eyes

You’re there
You’re there
You’re outside the Taj Mahal
A full moon bathes it in a silver glow
It’s serene
Take all the time you want
Enjoy the scene
There’s no need to hurry

Inhale
Exhale

You’re tired
Winding down
It’s after hours
And no one is around

The stress of your day
Is the coat you take off
One sleeve at a time
Let it drop to your feet
Feel the freedom
Of the weight off your shoulders

Take a deep breath
You’re at the main entrance
You’re calm
Slowly slip off
Each shoe one at a time

Take a deep breath
Listen
It’s just you and the echo of stillness
It’s majestic with the high ceilings
And luscious marble all around you

Listen
Feel the resounding silence
It’s charming and inviting
It’s calling you from within
Go ahead
Follow where it leads

Enter as the richness
Of the silence envelops you
It’s a droning melody
That feels peaceful and safe
Soothing
Beckoning
You feel light
You feel transported
Your feet barely touch the floor

Inhale
Exhale
Stay as long as you like

You’re exactly
Where you need to be

Relax
Take it all in

When you’re ready to leave
Have one last listen
To the melody of silence

Step over your shoes and coat
You might as well
Leave them behind
You don’t need them

Treasure this peacefulness you feel
You’ve earned it
Let it lead the way
To a relaxing evening
Where sleep will sway you
Between the realms
Of fantasy and reality

Breathe
Relax
And enjoy your evening

Premium Member Soothing Tomorrows

Oh beloved,
I'm like Rumi without Shams.
A shivering summer soul,
secretly stalked by wild white winter wolves.
A chiffon child chiselling chimerical calligraphy,
cursed with invisible ink, silent in sentimental sighs.
I've become the son of solitude,
tired from torture and torment,
descending like surreal sinking sunsets shaded in scarlet,
yearning for a dawn where we can blend like sunrise.

I have no desire to write, but you cut my veins to bleed.
What is pain without pleasure,
or a poet without his poetess?

Oh mistress of the night,
I'll forever wait for you to adorn my garden,
to finally inhale the fragrance of my roses.
I'm the oil lamp in all your blackness,
sometimes I may flicker like a candle,
but I will always reignite to create a spark.
The day you stop reading my musings,
my pen will forever slumber.

Oh daughter of darkness,
let me salvage your light, place it into your eyes.
Guide my quill to engrave upon your shores.
Together we will sail away from Satan's spawn.
I'll shield you from twilight's beasts,
protect you from demons with crimson claws,
emancipate your wings to fly from an illusionary island.
Because,
you love the moon, but it's the stars you gaze at,
hoping their stardust will illuminate your heart,
before they fade into nothingness.

Oh my seclusive sweetheart,
I will strum strings of serenity,
so you release tears of tranquillity.
I may not be the most handsome blossom,
nor the most popular prolific poet,
but I gift you my art and alliteration.
Some may say I'm romantic,
but I am no judge of what is exotic or poetic.
We can't put all our faith in petals and poetry.
I'm no emperor who deserves an enchanting empress,
merely a broken butterfly in your precious palms.

Life is an absent bride,
so I'm not afraid to bleed to death,
in the hope of soothing tomorrows.

Premium Member Soothing Serenades

Pained piano keys compose
a chorus-less composition.
Melancholic moods crave
to sway back and forth
like bluebells and lilies dancing,
when kissed by the morning breeze.

Forlorn flute flirts with sympathetic tunes,
echoing vivid vibrations,
piercing layers of a forgotten heart.
Somber undertones seduce the soul,
as it struggles to swim,
silently immersing in sorrowful symphonies.

Yet the orchestra is mute - slumbering
in the ruins of unfinished musings.
Ignorant to the heartbroken harp
that lusts to strum romantic melodies,
but stands in sincere elegance,
decaying as dust suppresses its emotions.

Lyrics float by, searching for a home,
but remain unheard in the absence of the viola.
Its loss has become an enemy
to violin strings, crippled from cries
yearning for their cello comrades.
Alone their music does not co-exist
and falls upon deaf ears.

Music has no providence,
yet the mind is lost in its province.
Searching for soothing serenades
that softly sail ships towards
shores strumming sweet strings.

Sometimes harmonies struggle to enlighten in solitude,
but when composed together, their lyrics live forever.

Premium Member Adult Lullaby

In my arms you can forget your troubles
Close your eyes and leave them all behind
I’ll sway you tenderly to loving rhythms

I’ll comfort you to sweet musical perfumes
And protect you with all the serenity
Of a thousand starry midnights

Under feathery wispy lakeshore willows
That waver in cool late summer breezes
Close your eyes and leave all worries behind

Soothing Light

Even in the hardest of times
there is a soothing light
a beacon of hope
a glimmer of faith
that things can be better

A sparrow's song
soulful and strong
calls to the night
that beauty is there
even if not seen

Take back your plight
and pledge to behold
If only in your heart
a sliver of trust
in the actions of man

Premium Member Soothing Rain

As the rain patters on the roof,
It speaks to me, new things to know
Soothing my soul, as darkness falls
Nothing left, but the wind to blow

Patter, patter, a rhythmic tune
May help me sleep into the night
My thoughts a river, in a way
Not as scattered to find what’s right

And as I rest to this new song,
I decide that I will let go
Of the worries sown by the day
Into pleasant dreams, I will flow

As the rain patters on the roof,
Mother Nature becomes my friend
Holding me with such pleasant sound
Just so, my broken heart will mend

Premium Member Soothing Star

My legs give out
           and I sink
                   onto the grassy blanket,
whose thorns feel like velvet
  against parched skin.

I close my eyes and
   d
      r
         i
            f
               t
              away..
           from this cruel confinement
where fleeting time waits     for none.

I am drawn awake.
It’s that feeling all over again.
       It allays my ears,
casting away the shrieks and screams
that haunt them.

This is the muse the world needs.
     Melodies and lyrics are stars
           to its a
                   b
                   y
                   s
                   s.

The music bewitches,
     I tiptoe on notes
          dancing in octaves.

I call the tune ~ I shall stay here
                   until the music dies.

For in the mansion beside my run-down hut,
                      they begin

                              to blow the trumpet.

Premium Member In Absence of the Soothing Light of Moon

(Sonnet with rhyme on both ends of alternating lines)

The starkness of my world now that he’s gone
pervades in all I see and hear and feel,
but darkness swallows all until the dawn
invades. Then what I’ve lost is made more real!

I yearn for Moon’s return - her tender light
to keep me soothed, for sunshine is my bane.
I burn with thoughts of him. I need, each night,
to sleep away my longings and the pain.

He left, and now he’s far away from me
across the globe. Oh, how I love him so!
Bereft am I, but he perhaps feels free!
My loss means where he is tonight shall glow
sweet Moon, caressing him - as once did I,
and soon, I’ll face the glare from morning’s sky!

You cradled me in your womb with love and care,
Love was in your voice, touch, and demeanor, mother.
Your soothing voice calmed me down from every scare,
You cradled me in your womb with love and care.
The love that you showed me was like no other,
It was a blessing just knowing that you were there.
You cradled me in your womb with love and care,
Love was in your voice, touch, and demeanor, mother.

She finds joy through the prism of love
Basking in its caress and being coy
Its melody soothing, like a cooing dove
She finds joy through the prism of love
A precious gift that shines from above
 Into love's light emotions deploy
She finds joy through the prism of love
Basking in its caress and being coy

Premium Member A Walk through the Forest

Seeping through families of oaks,
Surrounded by pines, laurels and all…
Gentle leaves, so alive – yes, they breathe,
Silent like the peace I find here,
Enclosed in their embrace,
Soft music of dove and robin, praising,
Ever praising with their easy tweet,
Tempering the woods with their melodies,
So old, yes, so old…

Breathlessly praising,
Stirring the wonder often lying,
Secreted beside cool streams,
Abandoned by moss-grown stones,
Laughing, gurgling, gushing…
With liquid wonder, blessing spirits,
Risking their most intimate beauties,
Lingering in amused giggles,
Calm as the silent grace…
Gentling the wind, the wind’s faint
Struggle to bring with it,
A sense of God’s music, His mystery,
Hesitating to break through,
Intensity, powerful as the cloudless skies,
Yes, those cloudless skies…

Escaping the darkness of a lazy afternoon,
Screaming a warning, rumbles of thunder,
Defeated by the flashes of lightening,
Blazing across the silk sky,
Glancing over the aching trails,
Strewn with dried leaves, maples,
Poplars and oaks, pine needles,
Moments expressed…
Soundless colors, shimmering
On the edge of a prayer,
Mostly peaceful, but ever aware…
God is there – oh, yes, He is there.

Like the wildflowers,
Scattered on the distant dreams,
Unfolding blossoms for the soul,
Flourishing buds,
Crimson and soft, buttery blond,
Violets, wild and willful,
Pondering the sense of joy,
Magnificent…
Breaking through the seas,
Seas of laughing scenes, lonely –

Never lonely in the forest,
Where I go for the stillness, the calm,
The lingering touch of silence,
Blessings from One who knows me,
Knows just what my soul needs…
These forest walks with Him,
Who gives me a reason to believe,
Believe that I can find solace,
In the music of this melodious forest!

Premium Member Silence Sighs

Silence speaks louder than the shouting
That consumes the lives of those
Who are destined to fail
With their hatred
And bitterness
So dark and dreary
Dim even in sunlight
Wishing for the darkness of night
When they might hide
From the beauty
That whispers
Love

Silence colors hearts with shimmering
Shades of solitude, isolation
Fumbling fingers of doubt
Encouraging soundless,
Discreet melancholy
Hues of secrets
Beckoning through
Heavens filled with hope
Healing and health
Happiness
That glows crimson
Painting brilliant rays
Of gold
Across the heart
The soul
Love

Silence echoes in the valleys
Crying across ridges
Of lonely mountains
Fading into the emerald
And sapphire crests
Yearning to fly
On wings of inspiration
Soothing tender aches
With music that destroys
Black and dreary thoughts
Despair that rides on clouds
Of gray, grim anguish
Displayed in rays of sadness
Disrupting the moments
Of clear radiance
Breathed through trees
On wings of ecstasy
That soars across
Cloudless skies
In sacrifice
Love

Silence sighs with
Love

Premium Member Soothing Chords from Angelic Lullabies

When days reflect like the veil of nightfall,
once bright eyes, like somber stars fail to glow.
World looks so big, but your soul feels so small,
as deep sighs mimic heartbeats breathing slow.

Before the storm absorbs my spirit's hope,
I search beyond weeping shadows of clouds,
counting my blessings to help weak mind cope.
Faith always finds me when I'm lost in crowds.

In times when I'm fragile like butterflies,
words from scholars and scriptures set me free.
Soothing chords from angelic lullabies,
help fight the voices that cause misery.

Premium Member Silenceful

silence is full
of expectancy and hope
of morn and night
of light and dark
of song and tears
of life and death

sometimes
my silence is as full
as a bottomless bath
in the arms of my lover
his heartbeat to mine
soothingly reassuring
