Soothing Light

Even in the hardest of times
there is a soothing light
a beacon of hope
a glimmer of faith 
that things can be better

A sparrow's song 
soulful and strong 
calls to the night
that beauty is there
even if not seen

Take back your plight
and pledge to behold
If only in your heart
a sliver of trust
in the actions of man
