Soothing Light

Even in the hardest of times
there is a soothing light
a beacon of hope
a glimmer of faith
that things can be better

A sparrow's song
soulful and strong
calls to the night
that beauty is there
even if not seen

Take back your plight
and pledge to behold
If only in your heart
a sliver of trust
in the actions of man

I agree with, Kevin...And your poem certainly is soothing, Tim. My favourite line: "A Sparrows song soulful and strong". Good stuff! My warmest wishes for your New year, Tim...And my best regards. :) john

This is so heartwarming and beautiful Tim, It breaks my heart when I see any child suffer, I would hope they can think like this until better days arrive!

Beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder, faith on the other hand is a choice. At the moment it looks to be a bad choice. I love the positive message. I'm just a wee bit pessimistic.
