Soothing Voice

You cradled me in your womb with love and care,
Love was in your voice, touch, and demeanor, mother.
Your soothing voice calmed me down from every scare,
You cradled me in your womb with love and care.
The love that you showed me was like no other,
It was a blessing just knowing that you were there.

I have a stepmom, my father's widow, who could never have children, but she would have made such a wonderful mother (i visited her a few times in my life when my dad was alive and i send her a mother's day card each year because i know how much it means to her.)
