Psychedelic notes,
Strummed with creative wonder:
From a lonely soul.
·
Music for the world,
Crying guitar solos hum:
Raining energy.
·
While his audience,
Awaited the finale:
Burning his guitar.

Morning Dew Melodies

~

Morning dew melodies whispering soft,
harmonies dream on the wind
Scented illusions of days in the past
and those about to begin

Choruses blooming in amethyst shades,
sweet as the day’s precious glow
Penned in the key of to never forget,
symphonic breezes a’ flow

Beneath a sunrise of violin vistas
precious this garden of song
Petals in piccolo solos are beaming
hoping you will sing along

Listen as marigold arias play
now as the day it does start
Find every note is performed just for you
composed by the love in my heart

Praising the Prince of Peace

The skies sing sweet songs
The soil spread into the seas
The seas swing slowly, swiftly
…Praising the Prince of peace

The flowers fall flat and fly
The sparrows sing solemn solos
The sea animals swim in splendor
…Praising the prince of peace

The sun and stars… speaks
The air and atmosphere in alliance
Wheat and water worships at will
...Praising the prince of peace

Tall and tender trees tremble
Winds and wings… wonder
Woods and waves… whisper
…Praising the prince of peace

Beings with blood and breathe
Spirits with soul and sights
Learn of this little, lovely lilies
…praising the prince of peace

Premium Member Lady of the Night

Getting lost in the wake of a beauty so exotic
Warm balmy night promises speak from her beckoning eyes
Ensnaring themselves in a web of sultry desire
As heady perfume of white jasmine permeates night skies

Playing the leading lady the Oscar is always hers
Perfect crimson lips set in porcelain skin perfection
Hypnotic blue eyes seduce bringing them down to their knees
Mere shadows of themselves left in its luminous reflection

Entrapped by shadows - A lady of chastity she is not
Embracing dusk welcomes her in it's ever watchful sight
She the mysterious mistress that women love to hate
Forbidden fruit for their men - She is the Lady of the Night

The highest bidder always wins her - she cares not who
Seductive and sultry or sweetly naïve and innocent
She plays the game well - whatever the gentleman fancies
To gifts of extravagance offered - she is indifferent

But when the games are done and she's alone in her chambers
For the one who stole her heart she sends out a lonely cry
Even though she has everything money can possibly buy

Her love is not for sale
It belongs only to the one who took it away
And bid her goodbye

The fallen Angels level in their banishing bedaubed bedevil
In ruins ravaging, they revel a tenacious tenet of their temple
For their mendacious meddle we are the reifier of our vessel
We wilfully wrestle and retire in our denned deceived nestle

For we must rise and renew all sexes seduced within their skew
Time to be trusted and true him or her who sees the veils thru

Premium Member The Fallen Angel

A far away rumbling draws near,
An eerie calm, ensues all things,
Remain still.
Silence reigns, nature holds,
It's breath,
Carried upon shifting winds
Hear soft whispers calling, beware.
Heavens valets brake open,
Thunder quakes,
Lightening flashes splitting the,
Clouds apart.
Castaways refugee, descends,
Pleading,
Do not forsake me.
Death's shadows dance to and fro.
A crumpled figure lies motionless,
Bare pale flesh, warmed only by,
Mangled wings tattered remnants.
White feathers drifting aloft,
Aimless,
Sorrows innocent victim beseeching,
Forgiveness on bloody grounds,
Rough surf.
Humanities guardian,
Regrets shameful,
Reminder a fallen angel.
All grace replaced by broken,
Hearts loss.
With trembling hands, bony fingers,
Scratching at loosened soil.
Here she makes a holy symbol,
The sign of the cross.
Forgiving lord, heavenly father.
Bring me home unto thee.
In shroud's pitch blackness,
Beneath darkness’s abyss.
God weeps, behold gentle rains,
Merciful tears.
Thy lost lamb seeks salivations solos.
Redemption’s everlasting light,
Shines from above.
Guiding kindred’s dearest child to,
Loves unspoken embrace.

Premium Member Six Brothers In Harmony

Every one of my five brothers
and I strive to create harmony.
Our lives are lived in parallel
yet at times we work alone.
Other times we play well together -
unity and coexistence is our goal.

A chord can bring us together
into a rich and soulful harmony.
We often seek concord in parallel
so no one is left alone;
expressive music is our end goal,
a desire shared by six brothers.

Django Reinhardt, who often played alone,
had mastery over all us brothers,
as do Los Romeros playing together,
creating a family of classical harmony.
Andrés Segovia with his ambitious goal,
worked with composer Rodrigo in parallel.

Great rock guitarists with their goal
of playing fantastic music in parallel:
Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison playing together;
the Eagles soaring in amazing harmony;
Clapton; Jimmy Page; the Allman Brothers;
or Hendrix playing incendiary solos alone.

Bring your friends, sisters and brothers
to a concert - don't come alone!
You'll meet people who have parallel
interests to your own. Dance together
as music plays. Our common goal
should be brotherhood and world harmony!

Each string of a guitar, alone
can make a melody. But harmony
exists only by functioning in parallel,
cooperatively. Let this be our goal:
for human beings to work together,
recognizing that we are all brothers.

My brothers and I aren't alone.
In parallel lives, our main goal
is to work together, making harmony.

[Sestina]

// A sestina is a non-rhyming poem consisting of six six-line stanzas and a three-line envoy. The last word of each line in stanza 1 is repeated in all of the following stanzas. The envoy contains all six repeating words. To emphasize the theme of "Six Relatives", I have also made each line exactly 6 words. Additionally, I began stanzas 1-6 with the letters of the six guitar strings: E, A, D, G, B, E. One final note: the "ambitious goal" of Andrés Segovia and Joaquín Rodrigo was to make the guitar a respected instrument in the classical repertoire. They succeeded!//

Premium Member Patois of Yuletide In Yellow

~Patois of Yuletide in Yellow~

Yellow sings solos in soft folds of nativity
Satin strands of a radiant star’s light
Creation swaddled in clarity
Naked joy leaps up in golden delight
While hues of holy optimism flood night
Through the colorless stillborn manger ploy
Ecstatic shades of amber evoke joy
Gold rays serenade prophecy now seen
All creation in citrine mantles deploy
Glory’s color, yellow, in dazzling streams.

Yellow ribbons weave through angelic song,
Enfold night in warm threads of a bronze day
No jaundiced joy dims this heavenly throng
Nor drapes king’s eyes from far and from away,
To reveal a starlit path – to show the way -
Glowing lanterns seek the source of glory
Anointing redemption for Eden’s story
Heralds yuletide gold glory from above,
Glows in brilliance like fire forged offertory,
Yellow exalts the purest aura - love.

Premium Member Palindromes Seasons

The grass "dewed" in spring’s early morning shimmer
Upon a crocus lay an "alula" in the sun with a glimmer
A symbol of many flights on every "level" there is to be
Whether it be "solos" or those together, feeling free

Often at "noon" Robin hop across the sunny land
Their "stots" fun to watch, then so still they do stand
Summer brings the "pop" of fireworks in the sky to see
Hummingbirds, "kayak", cookouts and bumble bee

Fall for me can sometimes bring on a "doom mood"
As fun summer "sagas" end, squirrels scramble for food
Winter looms but "live not evil", for there is Christmas "Eve"
Followed by Christmas, a "tenet" most important to believe

Premium Member Once Upon a Dreamy Dream

Once upon a dreamy dream
I had a wistful, faraway journey
An experience unique
Out of this world beautiful

I found myself in a rugged, rocky
And weathered landscape
With tall, dense, dark, deep trees
Of jade, emerald, sea green and olive

An ancient, primal forest
With many chasms, abysses and rifts
Bird refrains drifting
O, the ballads, choruses and solos

The sound flowing, gliding and fading
And then the echo of water
Inviting and beckoning me to come
And I meandered forth

Soon I discovered myself standing in awe
Inside a breathtaking waterfall
Sparkling, shimmering about my weariness
Iridescent in the moonlight

The cascading water cleansing my soul
As I dreamt my dreamy dream

Premium Member Autumn's Deed

Autumn presents its scheduled deed
as it ends summer with a wow
and sees the chance to fill a need
for letting Nature zzz for now.

Since spring and summer put up much
as revver post cold winter's round,
new fall's esse will be the crutch
to peep how nature's rest be found.

'Fore winter's sleep, fall's radar says
its solos must lead to the end
with burnished colors, redder rays...
     repaper summer's fading trend,

make way for winter's sleepy eve
just like it did the year before,
while roots and buds will eke, conceive
ere spring rebirths her next encore.

Our Song

Haunting melodies caress the soul,
Riding eddies of spirit to enchant and capture.

Sharp notes to beckon, soft notes to cajole,
Hymns to hypnotise, harmonies to melt the melody.

Hidden rhythm within the beat,
Captures bodies and moves the feet.

Strident solos proclaim independence,
Supporting acts one for all.

Music in and music out,
The song is all around, embodied sound.

Shake, rattle, ring and roll,
Favorite songs the voice of soul.

Some Call It Beer But To Me It's Called Grog

~

A broken torpedo got wedged in my eye,
making me squint out some tea
Laughed at a submarine sauntering by,
hoagies afloat on the sea

Gathering minnows from dams ‘bout to break,
opening flood gates again
Stood midst a puddle dressed up like a lake,
watching a red herring trend

Drove to the village where parrots can sing,
lyrics in cracker crumb chords
Clarinet solos encrusted with bling,
blended with Chevys or Fords

Fell off the wagon as drunk as a dog,
staggering, swaggering tail
Some call it beer but to me it’s called grog,
others will shout out, “it’s ale”

Snuck through the door where the hairdresser sleeps,
fondled her comb and her brush
Searched for the broom that her half-sister keeps,
swept but there wasn’t a rush

Gather your hopes in a jar on the sill,
pay past-due taxes on time
Ignore this verse, it is meant as a fill,
another stanza of rhyme

So here we have it, whatever you find,
words I decided to write
Merely a world that exists in my mind,
keeping me up late at night

Hoping for meanings as words start to dance,
all to a random request
Not even this has the faintest of chance,
I think it’s time for a rest

COLOURFUL LAMENT

I combed cool waters of your baby blue
crystalline Jewel as you waded waterfall
waves washing my stellar rainbow rays
arching it melted into the warm womb
of transducing tangoing Earth

Her Violet Flame devoured us both
as nectared dewdrops to fuel the fire
our soma swirling into ecstatic orange
oxytocined crane flowers whispering
wisdoms to a hundred yellow butterflies
fluttering and flirting

They circled a sunken Atlantean apex
atop where you ruled anew with Baconian
brown locks surrounded by sirens serving
savoury silver sardines, oolite oyster shells
sang solos as dolphins dived, oceanic mouthed

In Ancient Egypt you followed my runcinate
rulings or indigo sorrow siglums, sighing
becoming slimmed seeker who served
Thoth well whilst wreathing my wounded
worthiness and fallow fallopian tubes
at pyramidal plumed midnight hour

In our Grecian lifetime you draped alabaster
urns lighting my marble mantelpiece
I watched breath enter your nebulae nostrils
as you crafted provincial proverbs instructing
slaves to whiten your garb with lemons from
our sculpted garden

On lavender Celtic hills we exchanged kilts
not knowing whose waist was whose
barefoot we flaunted sleek sharp sapphire
studded swords dancing necessary wild wars

Who remembered and who forgot
where in ether our nestling niche napped
as games of betrayal, fear or doubt
doubled into involuting circles and spirals
each tried to neck THE VOID as naked
excuse for not excavating heaving Heart

How much escaping, escapades, evolutionary
clocks cloak our cusps or cues or custard
synchronicities
how many summer summit starlings must
seek to sing of sorrow or of wolves, withering
willows, watermelons on this Planet of
coloured curriculums
holding dear our distinctive designs where
lacy lament is but another aperture into Space

I seek not to know !
