Autumn Serenade POTD

autumn serenade

autumn spreads her wings
 arias of tawny hues ~
  summer drifts to sleep

amber moon rises
 pumpkins reflect twilight song ~
  shadows breathe cobwebs

streams of orange leaves
 flow in tangerine torrents ~
  fall river medley

streamlets slowly flow
 red leaves twirl on lazy swells ~
  rainclouds harmonies

mischievous fall winds
 robs boughs of golden solos ~
  bittersweet in bloom

harvest serenade
 leaves drip with crimson splendor ~
  sapphire skies sing blues

Valsa George October 23, 2023 at 8:13 PM I can see autumn coming to perch on trees. Soon green leaves into yellow, amber and gold turn. Then the mischievous wind comes to rob the trees of their clothing. I see before me "streamlets slowly flow and red leaves twirl on lazy swells" ~ A pellucid and uninerrupted flow of lovely images.
