Best Soar Poems
tired from crawling
no desire to walk - bless me with wings to fly
in the midst of melancholic melodies of rain
through monotonous tones of charcoal clouds
take me to a place where eagles soar
free me from those who preach in shrouds
ascending above snow drenched Himalayan cliffs
far from cultural vultures preying on my mind
take me to a place where eagles soar
before sleeping volcanoes, veiling lava unwind
through soundless valleys of wasted emotions
where grave yards have become soulless meadows
take me to a place where eagles soar
to tune in with music - bubbling springs compose
away from seagulls too far from the shore
gliding through Iguazu waterfalls of regret
take me to a place where eagles soar
before my feathers become too wet
flowing from the Nile towards the Black sea
surfing over ripples of wanderlust waves
take me to a place where eagles soar
carrying me to a province our heart craves
against storms where adversity engraves wounds
towards the light where rays of sunshine reflect in golden hues
take me to a place where eagles soar
where poetry meets the alchemy of its muse
among coral lanterns floating in lilac skies
beyond the serene silence of the moon
take me to a place where eagles soar
before a skyline of stars are gone too soon
towards the aroma of my beloved's garden
where my enlightened dahlia still delight
take me to a place where eagles soar
where angels recite poetic rhymes to kiss you goodnight
resting upon ancient trees full of verdant leaves
recalling childhood dreams and that forgotten playground
take me to a place where eagles soar
creating a nest in an abode we can call our hometown
and if I could fly.... would you soar with me?
These thoughts of mine do not behold
Let them soar high like wings befold
Observe them come then watch them go
I ain't nobody 's but my own
These arms of mine not to be bought
These lips of mine not to be sold
Nor is my mind to be possessed
or is this spirit to be undressed
Let me be me Just let me be
I ain't nobody's but my own
Do not preclude raindrops from falling
Through cascade paths I need to walk
I need to rest where children sing
Where gale winds shift against demands
Against each mountain and every glass jar
which traps these butterflies within my heart .
P.S: This is a fiction poem
' Soar Like A Butterfly
without being captured
in the jar of this world 's demands.'
Feathers, meant to soar
propel their bearers evermore
gliding, coasting, turning over
Acrobats, sky-high rovers
Sadly though, some feathers fall
float to earth, their curtain call
Prithee, pick them up
by yonder willow
finished weeping ~ sequestered pillow

If the ocean's water
were used as writing ink for pens
to write down our words of praise
the ocean would eventually dry up
before it might be put in writing.
evil will triumph
if the righteous remain silent
Inner defect causes blindness
success depends on action
stand up and do what
you realize is right
raise exertion level
a smidgeon suffices
to allow notions of impetus
you can then sleep well
your pick is akin to lacerations
requires precise timing
curious but uncertain.
blind attrition is pointless.
reach for stars
obtain an aerial view of the world
wave farewell to the land
live easily a prospective granted by
you are misusing beauty
greet the passing clouds.
forsake worries and avert your gaze
fear is a foe you must overcome
soar high and be wise.
Listening peacefully to Bach I soar,
Above the clouds as a hawk I soar.
Lying on forests mossy floor,
Listening to natures talk I soar.
Watching geese fly south, encore,
Majestically beautiful flock I soar.
Knowing life has so much in store,
Answering its every knock I soar.
At times life is like a lions roar,
Standing as a solid rock I soar.
I shall hear natures call, and open its door,
Making sure that with every breath I soar.

Gone are the days of childlike hope and dreams.
Our tender years were cast on life's broad streams.
Rich mem'ries float on waters still serene,
while thoughts drift past the seasons in-between.
That final bend of river not yet seen,
we set out seeking vistas new and clean,
where aging frame and psyche' still burn bright,
made strong and sharp as blades in morning's light.
We'd dream and see realities yet new.
Our aging forms, set free, would test as true
those aptitudes and skills not proved since youth.
The vision, quite sublime, has become truth.
We'd run the race as when young, full of drive,
to sense a new resolve, to feel alive.
The blood and air would surge deep in our chest,
hearts striving one more time to be the best.
Perhaps, we'd stand on mountain tops and view
our world and all its peoples kind and true.
If foes of that time bid earth-mates good will,
we'd aim from common fate all strife to still.
And, when the course of each life had been run,
we'd pray wise God affirms all was well done,
while setting each soul free from fated slings
he bids us soar on air that yields to wings.
To Soar
The good earth!...ahh! its beauty
sloping down to golden river’s bank,
where trout and dreamy summit play
their game, a contest of who looks
longest, passers by or the tickled fish
and cumly eagle in her fortress nest
Yet is there a winner, who feasts off such
delight?
The latter in leaps and bounds astounds the
cornered eye: feathered lord of all surveyed.
Then smell the scent of bracken on the wind….
the eagle’s feather and crafty trout’s scale
intertwine, for pleasure and delight…no contest
to amend.
All’s well on the good earth!
Let me fly
Let me soar
soar like a bottle rocket
soar like shooting star
star of the sapphire sky
star of the multi-verse
multi-verse of endless song
multi-verse of ballads formed
formed of shatters she's
formed of immortality
immortality unformed
immortality of thought
thought of rainbows
thought of waterfalls
waterfalls of prism light
waterfalls of tears
tears from children
tears from mothers
mothers warm
mothers home
home with yellow clapboard
home with a cat
cat with whiskers
cat with purrs
purrs with cuddles
purrs for dinner
dinner stewed tomato
dinner hot
hot mouths
hot skin
skin nee dip
skin in the game
game to play
game to try
try me
try shusi
sushi pink
sushi rolled
rolled in sesame
rolled in the hay
hay the field
hay Nane Nane
Nane sang
nane piped
piped the harmonic
piped to the star
stars shine
stars explode
explode
shine

I long to soar with the eagle
To fly uninhibited about the earth
Looking down onto the mountains
Admiring their rocky faces
To feel the clouds brush over me
While having the wind streamline down my back
To meet the evening sky with all its brilliance
And circle in the beams of the full moon
I long to perch high in the limbs of an evergreen
To inhale the freshness of the first spring shower
Listening as the raindrops filter through the branches below me
Forming puddles that trickle gently over the edge of a stone path
To live in the moment as it is, not as it should be
I want to mount to the sky effortlessly
Gliding and drifting aimlessly
With no care for the hour of day
I want to watch the crimson sunrise at dawn
While resting on an old black oak branch
Then dip down into the cool bath of a large stream
And emerge with a rainbow trout for breakfast
I long to call out to my mate in song
To meet me at the top of the bridge
Overlooking the peaceful flowing river
Or in an open meadow filled with prairie grass
Oh, how I long to soar with the eagle
To fly freely about the earth

Do DINOS SOAR, do fish have SOLE
Do elephants have ANTS in their PHANTS
Have you ever seen a real HORSE FLY
Or a FIRE that's started by ANTS
A PEA CAN go wherever MAN GOES
Does a CROC know how to DIAL
Is every HIPPOS A POT OF MUSH
Can laughing hyenas just SMILE
Do MANTIS PREY, does DON have a KEY
Is there always at least TEN in a KIT
CRYSANTHA'S MUM is such a pretty thing
Do LIONS tell the truth just a bit
If a PELI CAN, does she wear a Z BRA
Does WILL OWE anybody money
Does SNOW have a FLAKY personality
A bear's favourite would BEE HONEY
Are DILLS always DAFFY as far as you know
Can CUMULUS CLOUD your view
I hear there's some trees that are EVER GREEN
Why are BOOBY'S feet always BLUE
If you can answer any or all of these questions
Write me at seventy-seven Cuckoo Lane
I'd sure like to hear from all you folks
To prove I'm not going insane

To fly like a bird, basically unencumbered
leaving behind the world's joy and pain.
To soar to spaces only birds have been,
and touch the very edge of a violet sky.
To drift on a cloud as it hides a rainbow,
and watch an iridescent raindrop begin.
See storms in their infancy, sung to by thunder,
as flashes of lightning echo brilliant refrain.
To fly low over mountains bathed in lavender;
watch creeks meander lazily by mossy banks.
To gaze at tall forests of evergreen and quaking aspen;
see meadows of wildflowers, fields of spun gold.
To watch night's different shades then choose black satin,
and be awed by dawn's brush of colorful pastels.
To admire many planets and sit among luminous stars.
To find our blue Earth and see how tiny we are.

I found a dove lying broken
I knelt just as it died.
It had chosen my high window
as its own patch of blue sky.
A young dove it appeared to be,
too young to know or care
that windows are seductive
when one's flying in the air.
It was too young to wonder
where Summer's leaves had gone,
or to know there'll be new buds
along with Springtime's song.
Too young to taste wild berries
hidden by an early snow.
Too young to soar and soar someplace
where only birds must know.
Too young to choose a handsome mate
and raise its very own;
to age with grace and wondrous tales
of places it had flown.
Gently it's placed beneath an oak,
on fallen leaves to lie.
While its spirit, at last released,
will fly and fly and fly.
Morning birds dance on my window
happiness is what they know
How to fly away from sorrow
telling me, it’s time to go
Though the clouds are low and graying
birds know how to rise above
Sun is waiting for the taking
I just need a little shove
Morning birds play in my fountain
drinking life so fun and free
They invite the world to follow
fly away and soar with me
So I ask myself this question
stay inside or seek the sun
With the birds that grace my window
I know I will be as one
Where Eagles Soar
Flying far above the masses
In azured tinctured skies,
They fly independently.
For that, is where true class
lies!
They want no part of any
motley crew birds.
Just self-determined to fly as
they choose to do.
Never bowing their glorious
heads,
To seek recognition from any
tempters of glory!
With their widespread wings
they soar clearly with full
independence and no doubts.
And were I a bird, you would
find me an eagle.
Heaven forbid I walk on a leash
like a beagle!
