Soar Among Stars

Let me fly
Let me soar
soar like a bottle rocket
soar like shooting star
star of the sapphire sky
star of the multi-verse
multi-verse of endless song
multi-verse of ballads formed
formed of shatters she's
formed of immortality
immortality unformed
immortality of thought
thought of rainbows
thought of waterfalls
waterfalls of prism light
waterfalls of tears
tears from children
tears from mothers
mothers warm
mothers home
home with yellow clapboard
home with a cat
cat with whiskers
cat with purrs
purrs with cuddles
purrs for dinner
dinner stewed tomato
dinner hot
hot mouths
hot skin
skin nee dip
skin in the game
game to play
game to try
try me
try shusi
sushi pink
sushi rolled
rolled in sesame
rolled in the hay
hay the field
hay Nane Nane
Nane sang
nane piped
piped the harmonic
piped to the star
stars shine
stars explode
explode
shine

Just love this.......and in the brief moments of the blitz......one can picture your life in small increments....Isn't it amazing what can be seen in so few the words.......a yellow clapboard house, a cozy kitty, stewed tomatoes, sushi, the night's sky........ I love this !!

Debbie ma, speaking of Yasmin, how is she? Have you heard from her? I hope she is doing well? Shusi? Shoesies? Susi would be "key" in Filipino. OK I am off base with the susi, but I still need a sushi fix. And hmm, I checked, not Beatles,it was "zoom" by Fat Larry's Band--and I was wrong, messed up my lyrics, it was "neon sky" midnight sky came in another line... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMo6Ju8SJ8o

debs, give me your email again and I will go through that poem when I have some time and let you know the lines that were off beat. Actually, the meter was pretty good. I just always heard that blank verse was iambic pentameter, meaning ten syllables per line and some of yours had 12 or 11 or even less. So the lines were irregular but the meter was fairly good. Give me your email and I will tell you where you missed any beats.

The title roped me in....Then, with that lasso around the neck, there was no where to run! SO, I became engulfed with the unique "Multi-Verse" penned here. (many people still have yet to hear of the multi-verse, no long Uni-verse:) You did it here Debbie. These aren't sores you can pick...but I sure pick these Soaring Stars as a cosmic oracular spectacular with my picking stick! THanks for making my day better w/ this poem. READ IT ALOUD! It truly is a Masterpiece to be added to my faves as a 7.

I mean can be with nori or none-- the rolled yummy things (mind blanking out, I want sushi)---ok stopping. What I want to say is, you seemed to really enjoy writing this, and it definitely shows in your write-- and thank you so much from this little monkey-- we are all ok-- save for a bunch of our fruit trees that got broken... thank you so much for your concern, very sweet and thoughtful of you, Debbie ma, sending you hugs.... <3

Well what a journey you took us on, soaring with the stars-- I really enjoyed reading this-- and of where it led me-- so many aspects covered, ok, I can't help but have "Zoom" is that the title of that song? I think it is-- you familiar with that? "Zoom, just one look and then my heart went 'Boom'!....flying high in the midnight skyyyyy.... Ok I better quit. Just also want to clarify something-- by any chance, would you mean, "sushi"? the Japanese rolled rice with nori (seaweed) me now cont'

oh, debs, this reminds me of one I wrote a long time ago called The Real Food song, and I took the last word of each line and used it as the beginning of the next line. It's such a fun thing to do. So WHO is Mr. O??? Loved how you started this one out! hey, are you noticing how sometimes the ads here are singing or talking? I'm having a TiME of it tonight and they are discussing the planet of the apes movie as I am trying to focus on reading and commenting to you. Urrrggg
