Part 3: AT HEAVEN’S GATES

To set Her free from destiny was far from my design,
but, though unplanned, I touched Her hand to give Her peace of mind.
She told me then, and then again, that providence Divine
had cast a curse, and even worse: despised by all mankind,
She walked alone, unseen, unknown, Her soul incarnadine.

To break this spell of living hell, of loneliness enshrined,
and end Her days within the haze, a sole redeeming deed
would give reprieve and maybe leave our destinies entwined -
Her final quest be put to rest if only I agreed,
but no surcease nor perfect peace nor hope if I declined.

The shadows, shawled in silence, crawled, the night Her fate was sealed
as vespers tolled across the wold beneath the muted fog.
The heavens cracked and sorrow slacked as chimes of children pealed
while in the hills (where midnight chills) there wailed a daemon dog -
with no delay I lead the way, the path to Potter’s Field.

Her weathered face was lined with Grace, Her eyes shone emerald green.
With me as guide She stepped inside to grieve and mourn Her loss,
and thereupon, though pale and wan, the night took on a sheen.
With weary eyes as Her disguise, She placed a wooden cross
upon a mound (unhallowed ground) and whispered ‘Sibylline...’.

A falling star flared in the far and burst, a bolide flame -
beneath the light, the Final Rite no longer hid undone.
And kneeling there in silent prayer, we seemed to share the shame
but could atone if left alone, forevermore as one.
Before we both could breathe an oath, I asked Her once Her name.

Through lips, pale red, She simply said ‘Some called me Abigail’,
and neath a birch where white doves perch, I took Her for my bride,
beheld Her smile a little while, but all to no avail...
Her cloak and cape, and shrivelled shape lie empty at my side...
for now She waits at Heaven’s Gates, not far beyond the Pale.

Perfect

If sunlight always beat darkness,
and good always triumpheted over sin.

If happiness glazed every frown,
and when it comes to fights the hero always wins.

If every apple was round,
and white purified black.

If people were never poor,
and in jobs nobody slacked.

If the birds sang every morning,
and at night crickets perfectly chirped away.

If everyone achieved 100's,
and clothes never frayed.

If people never fought,
and money grew on trees.

If dogs never bit,
and the sting was not on the bees.

If every human was healthy,
and friendship lasts forever.

If time would move as fast as you please,
and nobody ever said never.

If your hair always looked perfect,
and all of these things were true,
Then I guess you could say, that life would be perfect too.

Grim Reaper

O! Grim reaper
I know of your essence
Instrument of fate
But your bones should be weary and leaden
Your scythe should have slacked it's thirst for gore
For numberless souls have you shuffed their mortal coil
Yet, you hunger after more
Though you're blameless, a true-hearted servant
You're blind to gold and silver
You're heartless; deaf to piteous cry
Alas! Your end is nigh
Ultimately, you shall be cast into a fiery mere
And humanity shall live forever more
Our flesh shall not wrinkle, neither shall our hair grizzled

A Letter To His Struggle Pt 1

I see the broken smile, the frown hidden so good
Depression hitting it's hardest, who know that it would
Who knew that it could, destroy somebody's life so quick
Wreck a family, it stabbed like a knife so swift

And cut, the deepest wound but I'm here to heal
Let my words clean the dirt, and keep you real
That way you feel, it's not to late to just go back
Start with a clean drive, since you got hacked

And you got jacked, man I want you to feel loved
Not to feel buried, not to feel like we've given up
I'm know you're tired of being of tired, so take my energy
Take my laughter, take anything that enters me

The inner me, sees you and I see you for the truth
These are more than words spoken, these are words spoken to you
It's true, been with you 13 years and I know that you're lost
Let my words guide you back to your path, don't ever stop

I, know that its rough and it's hard to go through
The pain and repercussion telepathically knows you
But, try and rejoice with me just once again
I wanna know you like more than you are, a best friend [x2]

In deep thought, I look into your eyes and see nothing
Forget the repercussion of coming up, and just flunking
Let me fix your cerebellum, give balance to your thoughts
Let me make you whole again, let it be the lesson I thought

You used to walk around the house, full of depression
Mom's gone, our whole life dedicated to stressing
She's here, but it still seems like she is far away
Let it be a blessing meant to be blessed another day

The boot of life stomped hard, and you took full impact
Struggling to keep your job, with this weight on your back
You slacked, a tiny mistake but it did it's damage
Through all of the ups and downs, you've stayed strong and managed

A warrior in my eyes, because you stood up for the fight
You walked through the darkness, now I'm giving you light
You were right, no matter what happens it's okay
I'll see to it to repay you, before my lights fade

Sparkling Slime

(02/10/2011)
Sleek sealed slime slipped in slacked sheer
Seems sparkling on stomped stamp scheme

Ditty responses:
I got two of my sisters read it loudly... They couldn't manage it well... Well maybe because it's not our first language, but yeah, They tried really hard. :)

Love and Irony

Knee high to a grasshopper
Not an ounce of grace
In a split second he would swap her
For a pretty face

She asked him to play
And drown a worm
Not today, he would say
As he'd fidget and squirm

Swimming in the pond
Flat as a board
He couldn't see beyond
The appearance, she ignored

Years passed by
As they tend to do
The pond became dry
Her visits were few

Her Bags packed
College bound
He had slacked
Stuck in town

She would return
When the moon was blue
His stomach would churn
This feeling was new

The once ugly duck
Now a swan
Drove an old ford truck
Too often gone

 a tough row to hoe
All the boys knew it
could cook, hunt and sew
And he had blew it

 once freckled complexion
Now a creamy tan
Intent with direction
No need for a man

Determined to court
Full of ambition
Still a good sport
Though she paid no attention

More years passed by
Her beauty faded
The pond still dry
He sat and waited

There in the distance
He saw a figure
His body tense
He couldn't be sure

The blinding sun
Delayed his sight
Could it be the one
To his delight

Humbly aged
Same sweet soul
Just a different page
For him to unfold

Youth had passed
Along with beauty
Vanity in the past
He could barely see

She sat by his side
And whispered in his ear
I'll be your bride
Though he couldn't hear

He wore a grin
And squeezed her hand
Their time was thin
But love was grand

The Art of Restraint

Wide-eyed and nerves clenching,
I await the vacancy that fills the page
As eraser smudges and blackened lead
Sear through stanzas left for dead

Leering on the verge of lines,
I hear the symphony come to a halt
Captive sounds unravel the thread
Burst at the seams like words unread

Jaw-slacked and brows upturned,
I fathom the launch of syllables
Drifting from my tongue to label
Sights and sounds recounted as tale

Calm despite gut-wrenching,
I watch the drumming of my fingertips
Fall into silence on the kitchen table
Like wounded soldiers, weapons disabled

In What Do We Trust In Now

Are you saying after I just spent over twenty dollars
On something that doesn’t work I can’t get my money back?
.
And my jaw is slacked open and it’s hard to believe;
And I’ve already paid them so I’m not going to leave
I’m calling the cops (I say) he says go wait in line”
And I really don’t care because this place is mine”
“I saw when you broke it and my wife will agree”
“And after they leave its then that we’ll see”
The smell in the room is foreign in seasonings;
And that may be the point of all of their reasoning’s.
So I pondered the question should I stand for my rights;
But sadly I know I really can’t fight.
So I left with a trinket but no money in hand;
And I felt like a victim of some master plan.

Wasted Years

When I was young, I had a dream
and saw life in a different perspective.
I saw life as a park,
where I could just come, play and go.
I thought time was slow
so I slacked and relaxed.
I had a dream but kept it inside
saying to myself, "there´s still time".
I played all day
and slept all night.
I even forgot to pray
and ask God to show me the right path.

And then I woke up the next morning,
Wow!!! I´m twenty-five.
Wow!!! I´m no longer a baby.
I´m now living my own life
and living my life includes pursuing my dreams
which I have left to rotten.
I pick them up now
and all I pick is nothing
cause I left them to sour.
I start from the scratch
when my mates are giving theirs finishing touches.
My dreams I start to patch
when my mates are receiving honorary badges.
And then I realized my time wasn´t frozen
but was moving as I was breathing.
It´s funny how life turns out to be
when you´re no longer a baby with little mentality.

Unbelievably

I don't  believe this how could it be?
The love of my life just walked out on me
Now is when the heartbreak comes to call
Unbelievably In an instant I just lost it All

Unsure whether to scream or to cry
Every part my Soul wants to die
I need you like I need the air
We had dreams why is life so unfair?

Together working towards our goal
Assumed wed be together & grow old
Unified your hand forever I would hold
Truth is you left me months ago

Optomistic heart refuses to let you go
Praying with help you'll get  some clarity
Your heart knows you belong with ME
I love you why won't you let me in?

Amazing feeling your skin on my skin
We slacked didn't put each other first
Come back to me we can make it work
Remember the things we were gonna do?
no one on Earth for me there's only YOU

How I wish that you never got sick
Tell the Man I adore that hes sorely missed
That he's the sole owner of my heart
Remember we clicked right from the start?

The best first date ever on Earth
Can't imagine this soul crushing hurt
We said if we can't make it no one can
Dreamed of a life with my lover & best friend
.
You disappeared  slowly, I hate this disease!
has completely devastated & ruined me
Our love story one of the greatest ever told
You are the piece that makes me whole

Somehow you forgot and left me lonely
Left alone and wracked with insecurity
We  believed  that we were meant to be
Brokenhearted as you slipped away slowly

We let this happen that's how it came to tbis
I believed that we agreed that we'd never quit
Suppose I just wasn't worth the fight?
You'll miss me on those cold lonely nights

I loved you since the day that we met
One day  you'll be filled with such regret
Loyal & dedicated I did everything right
Fought for both of us put up a good fight

How can we fix this what can we do?
Finally figured out its not me its you
You understand me like precious few
Planned to wear those rings dreams of "I do"

Rare love that  romantic poems are penned of
You don't give up on this kind of special love
Your heart knows I'm the best Women for you
Devastated watching as you fade from view

I'Ve Been Around

Life has been normal and strange, exciting and lame
Fought, begged, pleaded. Just to play the game
Wished and dreamed of fortune and fame
Searched for an escape from all the pain
I’ve been good, I’ve been bad, everything else in-between
Worked hard, slacked off, lived dirty and clean
Been innocent and guilty, on my own, on a team
Acted stubborn, easy going. Faced reality, chased a dream
I’ve gone through ups, downs, good times and bad
Comfort, fear, stability, chaos. All I have had
Seen miracles come from no where, Tragedies happen fast
Both pride and shame can be seen in my past
I’ve won some, lost some, been first and been last
People have praised me, stones have been cast
Experienced the easy life, with no responsibilities to mention
Busted my butt and partied it off, ignored, paid attention
Been betrayed and forgave, sinned and sought redemption
I’ve been dismissed, I’ve been chosen, held back, had ambition
I loved drugs and hated them, I’ve said yes and I’ve said no
I’ve done them, they’ve done me, decided they had to go
Some memories are treasured, the lessons more so
Through it all I got lucky, this I do know
Done some impressing along side some disappointing
Finally felt true love and yes it’s worth the waiting
Seen my care free days become non-existent
Became a wife and mother, never knew what I was missing
Been kicked when I’m down, been shoved around
Been loved by the best of them, pound for pound
Put myself out there, fallen face first to the ground
As for the future, well, who knows what’s to be found

Blood Eyes

A Poem by Gideon Idudje.O

blood eyes

Though my eyes are pouring
Yet I see very c l e a r l y.
Though thought make me heart scream
Still am full of strength,
Like the relay just began.

It seems my destiny is clung
to mysteries
my eyes are soaked
In the ruins of today's plains
don't know for the future
save for the basins of rains,
carried by eye lids

Am beautified with thorns
and my flesh,
tiny thin and thinner,
am gazed at by
the antelopes
 in pair
they look at me
as share their look
what might have happened
to him they say in their eyes

the Nightingales in multiple colours
are decorated on a blossom tree,
try to play me a song in their voice
but my mood is naked
naked, naked and fated

and the hyenas trios,
they scream me with laughter
seeking me after

every now and then my flesh
vanish likely a pale child

My eyes are heavy now,
ready to drop
It has become a woman in labour pains,
groaning for the child
to let go
and the colours of her eyes is blood coated.
like the heavy cloud,
would let loose,
as heaven
sometimes get pregnant too
and have to be delivered,
of the rains.

So in my deepest pains
flows the worries in my strains
My spine got slacked off it place

And now you could see
In my heart eyes
while I cry
I tears
It pours
and when it gauged
then blood eyes
running down my chin.

Premium Member Bowling Competition

There was bowling
Competition this early morn
All eight lanes were
In use, competitors worn

The games were tied
The competition tense
One lane after another
Were the pins all hit

Occasionally there would be a break
When the racker slacked at his job
Then all pins would be hit
Really, really hard

Rocky being terrified by all the noise
Jumps into my lap wanting peace restored
No way can he understand
There are some things only God can control

Blank Page Beautiful Thing Corrupted By Penned Thoughts

Ponder life lost. Ponder gain tossed away as stranger unwelcomed news disturbs slumber. Ponder hope dropped at final moment. Ponder sweet steam rise from tinted windows wild festival in back seat. Ponder terrifying dreams. Ponder surroundings on fire constantly, with slight glance brings pain in witness. Ponder existence. Ponder daily routines twisted by scriptures written thousands of years ago. Ponder emotions unholy shifted focus from where need be to assumed failed relationship. Ponder proved wrong. Ponder second hit radiates pure bliss but little more than illusion that fades. Ponder escape turmoil, trip taken in relapse felt fallen during slacked era. Ponder collapse of great empire. Ponder tomb empty yet awaits next. Ponder open casket sits within sacrifice in sacrilegious manner. Ponder mansion in future to be forgotten by time arrive. Ponder love of shadow. Ponder whisper disappear. Ponder other miserable forever after please. Ponder allow release, captured cabin brought to knees. Ponder open soul yet to be regarded as nuts and dismissed quick damaging. Ponder state of the union not in perpetual conflict. Ponder nations together rather than disruptive to each other. Ponder mother’s thoughts clouded now unable to access. Ponder sunset near she. Ponder dawn still in heat. Ponder lust shut in sinful woe wonderful. Ponder what could be. Ponder past. Ponder pleasure, had however never cause withheld try. Ponder trust eyes. Ponder difficulties arise when tongue tied. Ponder silence.

Music

when solitude is sought,
on a rthynmic angle,in low note,
resonance is caught, and inspiration is bundled.

When voices 're heard as acapella,
and the throat stretches like an orchestra,
behold, its love that pours and sprinkles
what every youthful heart 'll rekindle.

And when wrinkled cheek
smiles, bless God,claps and dance in seconds,
the joy of an elder is as high
like the theme is heaven.

When celebration as laughter
is cast on tough drums, piano and electric guiter
and voices 're sparingly gushing out
the world seens to be a stage
and fun is spread at age.

But behold, when the flute of a funeral is whistled
and the choir sings on slacked hymn,
and the cheek 're rollin down tears,
the legs that dances only wrestles against impossibility for farewell is the theme.
