Blood Eyes

A Poem by Gideon Idudje.O

blood eyes

Though my eyes are pouring
Yet I see very c l e a r l y.
Though thought make me heart scream
Still am full of strength,
Like the relay just began.

It seems my destiny is clung
to mysteries
my eyes are soaked
In the ruins of today's plains
don't know for the future
save for the basins of rains,
carried by eye lids

Am beautified with thorns
and my flesh,
tiny thin and thinner,
am gazed at by
the antelopes
 in pair
they look at me
as share their look
what might have happened
to him they say in their eyes

the Nightingales in multiple colours
are decorated on a blossom tree,
try to play me a song in their voice
but my mood is naked
naked, naked and fated

and the hyenas trios,
they scream me with laughter
seeking me after

every now and then my flesh
vanish likely a pale child

My eyes are heavy now,
ready to drop
It has become a woman in labour pains,
groaning for the child
to let go
and the colours of her eyes is blood coated.
like the heavy cloud,
would let loose,
as heaven
sometimes get pregnant too
and have to be delivered,
of the rains.

So in my deepest pains
flows the worries in my strains
My spine got slacked off it place

And now you could see
In my heart eyes
while I cry
I tears
It pours
and when it gauged
then blood eyes
running down my chin.
