Watch the birds in flight
As they soar from sight
Over verdant canopies,
With their nests below
Tiny feathers grow
On their fledglings in the trees.

Hungry mouths to feed
With the gathered seed
Found upon the dewy sod,
Which the skylark brings.
Afterward she sings
Her sweet gift of song to God.

the skylark chirps

  of amorous refrains

    mellow as night…

 a winged hymn echoing

tales of my deepened woes

Skylark
The heavens, their stage;
spotlights of sunrays.
Soaring angelic chorus.
Ballerina dance,
their movements enhanced
by beautiful songs of love.

A sweet lullaby
drifts down from the sky.
Performance demands a hush.
Entranced, we are now,
as they take their bow.
Mother Earth's mobile for us.

SKYLARK

Tenderness in the cotton powder skies above, fly little skylark
Within these clouds milky white, soaring through the veils of
Nirvana, sing tiny song bird with graces flight of beauty beneath,
Sway against the canvas clarity, blanketed by crystal cleared blues
Hewes splendor divine!
Angled breezes usher currents of...

Somewhere in the park

The early skylark

Sings with verve, his stolen notes.

Weaves them with his own,

Makes them his alone.

On him the rapt poet dotes.

The poet will write

How in late of night

The small skylark sings his song.

He flies very high.

He seems above sky

Sounds like the sky...

Premium Member Skylark Dreams
On the other side
where the dark resides
there are skylarks in the night
While our children sleep
they bring dreams to keep,
sunlit rainbows, in their flight

With soft wings, they fly
cooing lullabies,
soothing babies in their beds
For each precious child,
dreamland is compiled,
gently laced with pastel threads

Skylark
Skylark I sail with you as the morning
breaks the sky and sun cuts through
like dancing diamonds cruising
the aqua sea.

Axis on a wheel of lonely flight
I offer you these hours of dark
nights for those whose lives are solitary
too. Beethoven I turn up...

Summer Therapy - the Skylark
Song soars, dawn of day,
over fields gold with hay,
sudden rising melody.
Stirring balmy air,
heavenly fanfare,
giving summer therapy.

Lyrical bouquet,
birdsong ricochets,
a soulful “blues” remedy.
Skylark, debonair,
above our earth, fair,
create joyful fantasy.

Skylark roosts in oak
Singing through the smoke
Of misty clouds passing by
Music of the dawn
Shared with spotted fawn
Pleasures that delight the eye

Skylark flies above
Crooning about love
Soaring through the gloomy morn
Sunrise beckons eyes
Twinkling at the guise
While the bird whines of a warn

The Herald of Spring -Skylark
Soaring high it flies
Spring is here it cries
Sound radiates the air
Bringing smiles to all
one brown bird so small
Sings hovering way up there

Way up in the clouds
Hangs in space so proud
Whilst observing way down low
A safe place to nest
Tufted grass is best
Where there are seeds,...

A Skylark Cries
I stand under the statue of liberty
Counting the red pennies
I stand diminished of all my properties
Even my history.
I am watching skylarks sky diving for bread
They all have long black wings
And they cry awfully, some say no one sings
Again....

King Skylark
There once was a princess

Who lived in a far away land

She wore the most gorgeous burgundy dress

And she took off her shoes as she walked in the sand

She grew up around a family of duchesses, princesses and queens

Who told her to be lady like around...

Skylark
Skylark spread your wings
Pull yourself up from the ground
Trust in the currents

One foot can lift you
Out to meet the starry night
Release yourself soon

Energy is faint
Yet the heart beats with power
We can not lift you

Find the quickening
Chance to take your maiden flight
You will remember

Flying is in...

Poem : Whispers of a Skylark
A wise bird, wiser than the west

It blend beak of voice and a beacon afar

Deftly blending clouds with feathers

Spread over wicked continents

Which is shifting opinions as in tectonic plates

Continent of men, clouds of winged meanings

Drifting oceans, Dithering wings

They meet in swarms and grooves

In a season...

The Vanishing Skylark
Today I heard an ancient song that took me by surprise,
A song that since creation had filled our country skies.
A song that has for centuries filled mans heart with joy,
A song that brought back memories of when I was a boy.

When I could wander over...
