Smoke Signals

If words could envelop fire,

I’d whisper softly into a quiet

note and let the pyre in my

lonely coffer spill out it’s smokey dispatch.

Letting pathos glow inside carrion’s beat,

I would endeavor this note reach a messenger

with quick feet, so that you would read it before

I became nothing more than a ruin,

damned by it’s own occasion.

I would speak with a gentle urgency,

through teeth like embers of brimstone.

" Let not your tender humor steer you

in a direction that would wilt us both.

Fan the flames that have consumed me,

It’s a burn that fuels our passion

I love you and the pain that you bring,

you are the brightness in the sky,

and the darkness of night.

You are the sting of broken flesh,

and the sweet release of blood that flows.

You are the healing of my blackened benevolence,

and the anger in my wisdom.

You are my second eye,

and my heaviest anchor.

You are the spark,

and the kindle.

You are my Queen.”

Mixed Signals

The way his perfectly messy hair
falls upon the back of his head
with his breathtaking smile
that knocks me dead.

He could captivate a crowd
with just his dimples and laugh,
but you couldn't understand
from just a photograph.

He texts me once,
he calls me twice,
always checking up on me,
and always ready with advice.

He acts like he cares,
he asks about my day.
Little did I know
he would eventually send me away.

We'll talk one day,
and we won't the next.
And after two months without talking,
I'll wake up to a text.

"How are you?" he'll say
as if we'd talked the day before.
The inconsistence is painful.
I can't take it anymore.

Mixed signals are tough,
How am I supposed to know
whether you like me or not?
Just tell me so I can go.

I feel like I'm trapped.
But when I try to move on,
he doesn't leave me alone,
it seems like he'll never be gone.

He tells me I'm his "Dream Girl"
but won't show me to his friends
He tells me he wants me
but says I'm a "nine" not a "ten".

It's been four months now,
without a single call or text,
and I guess he has a new girlfriend,
but who knows what will happen next.

Premium Member Nature's Signals

The light changes colors 'fore my eyes
Gentle breezes waft fresh scents past my nose
Nature's signals all truth, never lies
   Morning's dew refreshes barefoot toes

Brilliant sunrise, soars high my spirit
Cool moonlit night, so uplifting
The ocean's roar in a seashell, I hear it
A leaf floats down a stream, drifting

Angry clouds darken the sky, rumbling
Swirling winds rage through the trees
Sheets of rain from Heaven, tumbling
At times Nature terrifies me --

Yet I welcome every sight and each sound
May God keep me long above ground

Harsh cold breaths blowing gale force pounding drum bold
to the lightning striking blue diamond against ice freezing cold

Enrapturing a dark ebony satin night sky white silk cream velvet clouds
as the snow capped mountain lights up in a silver mist gleaming sparkles

One chain running a flood down the face as clouds of heaven open gates
lashing downpours of heavy pelting rain mixed with hail driven like bullets

Harshly outside roaring thunderstorms waves of air tossing this ship asleep
crying waves of voices through the breeze howling out rocking

Bending blows bowing down and asking for mercy the trees cry out moaning
spirits of the wind branches getting tore from the limbs standing to defense

Turf upon the fire rising white smoke signals it's warm here love
on this lonely cold winters night smiling faraway kisses a dream

Charming within deep loving warmth shipwrecked alone
crying howls into a cold full face moon entranced beautiful

Afande She

She has a pretty face
She carries herself well
In uniform she is an iconic
Many so desire her moments

A detective she carries her gun well
When duty calls she flashes her smile
Its a smile i have see disarm many
She has no use for brute force
For her lovely essence nets all delinquents

I used to spy her long time ago
At the signals training school
Once we were Seim Cohorts
Remember.. Kurutu mbona hanyoi..
God knows what followed that

Her MO disarms with ease and grace
My MO disarms with an O prerogative
Saidia Utumishi.. They also need service
Our officers in uniform have to be served too
That's where PMC's we come in and succeed
For controlled outcomes and black ops OP

Car Signals - Blinkers

When changing from lane to lane;
I want to make it real plain,
Signals are not an accessory;
They are a necessity.
Please use them. Thanks

Rows of receptors positioned just so
to capture signals from galaxies aglow
Six decades, billions spent, not one signal yet
not a peep of protest nor an ounce of fret...

Signs and wonders we all see every day
of great changes in nature's immutable ways
Arctic whales in France, crocodiles on beaches
Who thinks about what this teaches

Galactic spectacle, we name you
For a Greek mythic giant.
You exist in mythic realms of space
Dwarfing our Milky Way,
The largest yet known of your kind.
We behold your bygone light,
Your radio signal artifacts now only just
Arriving from what you were
Three billion years ago.
So humble our instruments for
Detecting you,
so simple our data collection
about you.
Gargantuan star ellipse drifting and yawning in
Vacuous void.
A hosting galaxy, embedded in cosmic web strands,
Two hundred forty billion times
The size of the Sun,
With a massive black hole nucleus,
Four hundred million times
The size of the Sun.
We measure and record like
Ancient Babylonians,
And still, no one comprehends.

Animals ran fast into the thick jungle!

Premium Member Warning Signs

sharp sound of church bells
on a cold crystal clear night
warns heaven and hell
to try harder to do right
not give up on the good fight

strong gusts of north wind
ominous clouds now hover
no good they portend
bad time to feel hung over
makes good sense to find cover

cannot seem to breathe
chest seems filled up with cement
just able to wheeze
was this something to prevent
before starting to lament?

always in God's hands
strange conditions amplify
carbon footprint lands
should we continue the lie
while the planet starts to die?

A terribly tired, trashed-out old truck,
lacking in luster, down on its luck,
longingly looked at a lithe little Lexus
there at the bar, fresh in from Texas.
Depressed, dejected, and driven to drink,
wipers not working, and too beat to blink,
he summoned his strength and shot her a smile;
seems ’twas the first she’d seen in a while.
Given a green light, he got it in gear,
kicked doubt to the curb and patted her rear.
Flush-faced, he flipped in reverse in a flash;
those were no lady parts under her dash.

Signals

You're givin off signals, I cant read,
I'm so mixed up, but imma let it be.
You act one way then you act another,...
tryin to give ya your space, I don't wanna somother ya.
Do you like me or do you wanna stay just friends?
I dont know anymore, Never know whats goin on in your head.
Imma be me, you can be you,
If you want different, than you know what to do.
Im okay with friends, don't have an attack,
I made a vow to my self... I wont be the reason to hold anyone back.
Ignore what I said, I'm probably being stupid,
"just friends" for sure, anything else is but my own illusions.
Others are brainwashed with their own delusions.
Your signals, i get mixed and become unsure,
So how can I think otherwise.... when you make it so clear?
