Premium Member Betrayal

Betrayal is a subject I know to well
A one-way ticket to a place called hell

Whatever the case when trust is lost
A piece of your soul will be the cost

Be it by a lover or a dear friend
Regardless it will lead to the end

Something as special as it can be
Tossed to the side for pure misery

Built on treachery and based on a lie
No doubt all of the blue has left the sky

As the sky turns dark and sheds its tears
Shame and guilt fill the guilty with fear

My friend turned me in; ratted me out
I was found guilty without any doubt

What happened soon as I hit the pen?
My girlfriend up let him move on in

Full of hate and driving on the yard
Hands of fate played a beautiful card

He got busted one very beautiful day
Right to my yard they sent him away

Scared to death and shaking like a leaf
He walked on the yard to my disbelief

I was due to parole the very next day
Yet off the SHU they shipped me away

One of those things you just can’t let go
Regardless of the price and cost to the soul

You know sometimes choices can be real hard
When you’re a junkie walking the prison yard

Premium Member The Gods' Family Tree

An Egyptian I never could be,
but since reading of their history,
in limerick form
I now write to inform
my friends of the Gods’ family tree.

From “Waters of Chaos” came Nun,
the only God under the sun.
The first piece of ground
rose up as a mound.
Hun stood there and coughed up a son!

Hun spat out the God of Air, Shu,
and he spat out a cute goddess too.
Tefnut was her name.
Moisture was her fame.
She and Shu beget children - two!

Their son was named Geb; the girl, Nut.
I’m not sure how to say her name, but
I sure like to say
Goddess Sky’s name the way
that rhymes with the famous King Tut.

When he laughed, the son Geb, “God of Earth,”
made the earth shake beneath his great girth.
I think Geb is busy
in modern days, for he
quakes often, for he’s fond of mirth!

For the tale to proceed, there ensued
some more incest, and not to be crude,
Nut, the Goddess of Sky,
got it on with the guy,
King of Earth, and they had a big brood.

There came forth from their coupling,
Queen Isis and a new Earth King,
Osiris, who was
a good king because
he ruled all rebirth, a great thing!

One son, against harmony, came
to kill Osiris, and his name
was Seth; once again
like the story of Cain -
an envious brother to blame.

But Seth got his just desserts when,
having married his Mom Isis, then
he was killed by HIS son,
named Horus, who won
the throne, and so “good” ruled again.

From Seshat to Sekmet to Rah,
Gods were worshipped by ancients with awe.
You’d have worshipped them too
had you been born to do
your poems on papyrus. Ha ha.

An Egyptian Saga

The civilization of Egypt is a mystery,
But what I love the most is their incredible history,
It starts with Amun Ra, the god of sun;
Who was Khepri in the morning when he rolled in mud and had fun;
But he became Khnum the ram in the evening.
And this is just the beginning.
There was the god of wind- Shu,
Whose daughter was Nut, striped and blue,
She was the goddess of sky,
Whose love for Geb, the earth, would never die.
They had two sons, Set and Osiris,
And two daughters - Nephthys and Isis.
Osiris became the Pharaoh to solve his kingdom’s crisis,
And married his sister, Isis.
Set was the god of desert sand,
And chaos and Ra’s left hand.
Nephthys became the goddess of darkness, decay and death.
As the pharaoh’s protector, she killed his enemies with her fiery breathe;
Isis was very magical,
Who made Ra’s condition critical;
By creating Apophis a snake,
To defeat whom was not a piece of cake.
Horus was the son of Osiris and Isis
Meanwhile Nephthys and Set had a son Anubis.
Then there was Thoth who was a rage,
Among the Egyptians for being the God of knowledge.
Like Ra, there was also a god of moon,
Khonsu, who could delay the noon.
The scorpions had a goddess- Serqet,
While the vultures had Nekhbet,
The cats worshipped Bastet,
Meanwhile the lions had Sekhmet,
The frogs loved Heket,
While the hippos had Tawaret.
There were many Gods and Goddesses.
Like Gengen-Wer, Hapi, Sobek and Bes.
Of which, the dwarves loved Bes the best.
While Heket loved Onuris from the rest.
The geese loved Gengen-Wer.
And Horus became the God of war.
There are many, whom I don’t know,
Yet we feel their majestic halo.

Premium Member Just Fight Don'T Talk About Me

Shu fly
CEASE JIVE
Don't talk about me

Little scuffle, chin busted
Had enough?
Knuckles the hard way

Complications always ARRISE
Each time you arrive.
Don't talk about me

I'm staying sane
I'm saying
MEET UP, A BEAT UP
LITTLE scuffle tried to hustle
And the BELL' S about to ring.
One round one sound
The BELL, KNOCK HIM DOWN

Don't forget come out swinging
Nothing but the fight MATTERS.
Hit me once, I hit you 3 times.

Knocking you blind.
Til you're insane
Out of your mind
Blow by BLOW by blow

I'm a tinny, tiny, little,
Itsy, bitsy, SELF DEFENSE
ARTIST.
You try to trick me.
I become HOUDINI.

Got it in your HEAD YET?
I'll beat it out then put it back again
JUST FIGHT DON'T TALK
ABOUT ME..

Nature's Concerto

Nature’s Concerto

Blip de blop tishu blop fush
Rambles the babbling brook
I come and sit in still sunlight
Its rhythms have me hooked.

In stillness does the flowing sound
Like music to my ears
Concerto blip de blop tishu blop fush
Playing endless years.

Pa shu di she st blip da blop
A rock has moved along
The caw of crow and bizz of hum
Background accents grow

This song of nature grande and pure
Is played for me unending
Sometimes it’s faster, sometimes it’s slow
Along the river’s bending.

How God designed each little thing
Such concerts for mankind
Blip de Blop tishu fush blip
Meant to sooth the mind.

Who Love's Ya Baby

who loves ya baby
hmmm now let me see

I know my mommy did
even though her shoes I did hid

I think my daddy did
when I didn't make him snid

brothers and sisters well maybe just a little
when I didn't get in the middle

my grandpa and grandma surely does
for I'll do anything for them just because

I know my little girl loves her momma
even better than president Obama

my dogs and cats loves me
even if they continue to make me sneeze

even my close friends new and old still spark the love
for we will alway's go on and well above

paperboy surely does
cause I tip him for keeping my paper out of bushes and shrubs

milkman used to
when I didn't make him shu

bill collectors oh yes
for I'm their baby who they love the best

so who loves me
well lets just continue to see

Abydos - Opening of the Tomb

Well I can see the golden Falcon of Edfu
circling Abydos tonight in the shadow of
a blue moon, I can feel the cool, cool desert
winds walking the three star path of the
Jackal back to Giza again pulling my cape
up around me tight I enter the ancient and
dark catacombs down, down to your never
opened tomb and I recite these words from
the Book Of The Dead...the cavern is opened
for you in the abyss and in the sunshine
you are released; the cavern is opened for Shu
and if he comes out may you come out...rise now
and take your seat in the bark of Re the great
one who rises and shines in the waterway of
the lake...so mote it be!

Premium Member A Little Poem of Love

I will be your pancake if you will be my mu shu pork.
I can be your bottle if you will be my cork.
Imagine me as your saucer if you are my cup.
I will ride in your elevator if you are going down or up.
Please be the cream in my coffee or the salt in my stew.
You are the one I love. I can’t get enough of you.

Hi, Mistew Powiceman!
  Hi kid. Wutcha doin' outside?
I'm just pwaying hide-and-seek wif my fwends

Where's your mask, kid?
In my pocket. I stawted sweating.
Well, put it on again, ok?
Ok. (Eyes downcast. Puts it on inside out).

Kid, how old are you, anyway?
This many. (Holds up three fingers).
I see. Is your mommy home, kid?
Shu-wah. Thew she is, on the steps.

C'mere, ma'am.
Just a minute, sir. I need to bring my twins
(Appears with two 8-week-old infants in a stroller).
Ma'am, uh, I have to, uh, you see, uh, ma'am--
  Is there a problem, officer?
Uh, well, you know, the Governor's new orders
about all kids over two, uh, ma'am, you know--
  Yes, officer?
Oh, nothing, ma'am. Nothing, really. Your kids
are adorable, ma'am. Have a wonderful day!
You, too, officer. And thanks for watching out for our block!...

Roarke, you issue any citations today?
  Uh well, no, sir.
NO, SIR?! NO, SIR?! I give you a block teeming with kids
without masks on, and you issue NO CITATIONS?!
Well, you know, sir, it's like this, sir, you see--
I see red, Roarke! The city's starving for revenue, and you issue NO--
Now just a minute, sir. Those innocent kids--
Those 'innocent kids,' huh? Were those innocent kids over two?
Well, maybe a couple of them were--
Uh, huh. Turn in your badge, Roarke.
With pleasure, sir. (Flings it onto the desk and exits, muttering)...

Hi, Honey! How was the beat today?
Oh, you might say common sense and
I were the latest victims of COVID-19
Huh?! Wudja say?!...

In Front of the Decayed Tree, Numerous Trees Turn Green

Shu and Chu are both remote and desolate areas
Where I have lived in exile for twenty-three years.
Nostalgic, I couldn’t help chanting the Reminiscent Song;
Now I return home a weathered man absent for so long.
Passing by the sunken barge, countless sails are seen;
In front of the decayed tree, numerous trees turn green.
I’m honored to listen to your melodious song today,
And empty a glass of wine to refresh myself as I pray.

Power of Yaa

The rains have come
from the seas they march
riding on the chariots of
Shu.
With black angry faces
from a furious fight with
Helios.
They cover the sky with
their might and beat
down on Asaase Yaa.
In pain she screams and
twists
making vast a number of
drops run down her
inexplicable features.
This creates rushing
waters strong enough to
bring down the mighty
Odum.
The great three has fallen
from the tongue lashing
of the rains.
Asaase Yaa sheds tears
which makes everything
beautiful giving life to the
dead seed.
She shouts out rise from
your slumber you
dormant seed rise.
Break through my
epidermis and nourish
yourself with my rain
soaked nutrients.
Live again and disgrace
the clouds.
Make them see that they
cant distroy the earth.
What the spoil i will
replenish a hundred fold.
 With their rain spears i
shall build canopies.
And with thier fury i will
create rivers and
fountains.
For i am the great mother
nature.
I make you reap what
you sow.
So sow with caution.

The Long Distance Is Like That Between the Neighbors

In the land of Qin kingdoms does the capital lie,
While the Shu State looms far away in the mist.
We share the same feelings when we say goodbye,
For we both are in the same local official list.
So long as we remain bosom friends anyhow,
The long distance is like that between the neighbors.
At the crossroad we are going to separate now;
Please don't shed tears like sentimental youngsters.

Reality's Hymn

Be-bop, shu-baby-bop,
  the blues on fire

The strings an accelerant,
  the harp but a pyre

The melody unseen,
  its heartbeat within

Be-bop, shu-baby-bop
  —reality’s hymn
