Oh imperceptible storm looming mighty as we walk,
secure is its claim as volatile manipulator.

The sun hides behind the insensitive violation,
the rugged moor top grows shapeless within the greyish shroud.

The day gives way to manifestation, illusions cast
as folk stagger habitually along life’s broadway.

My mother clasps a tiny hand, just happens to be mine,
the sun fights back peeps through the cloud, a shaft of light appears.

“One day you and I” she says “Will travel upon that light,
sent down every day for us, this the stairway to heaven.”

So many questions come to mind after these pensive years,
the day I buried my mother, a shaft of light appears!

From somewhere in the pitch of night,
comes a remnant from my childhood.
The door lets in a crack of light,
and there, outlined, where mother stood
is a silhouette, against the wood.

And, as if a star had gone astray
she would touch my hair and kiss my brow,
and brush my worries far away,
while letting me allow,
my eyes to close for sleep, somehow

And as the years have come and gone
I've often wished for just one night,
from where she is, her light was thrown...
And that somehow in the dead of night,
the door allowed the shaft of light

The overcast sky, the drizzling rain,
the weather dictates my mood again.

Grey and black clouds block the sun.
A dismal morning has begun.

A break in the gloom is what we need
as through the clouds a shaft of light bleeds.

One small ray brings a lift to the heart.
I hold my breath ... and watch the clouds part.

There, within the sinister forest of despair he stood
Numb, lost as to what next to do

Before him lay a pathway to where…so unclear
As an empty feeling grasped his psyche, instead

Being a man, in subtle silence he bled
And in solitude made plans his heart held

Many boulders, stones lined the way
Soon became craggy mountains meant to stay

With blind faith, his gradual steps moved him to find
A future yet unseen, yet vivid in his mind

Soon, his eyes widen as he watched the fading night
As slicing through dense thicket arose a shaft of light

Shaft of Light

The sky is black like the night No moon no stars no guiding light The wind
is screaming Holding back the sun`s beaming The clouds are sobbing tears
from the sky Eyes look to the heavens asking the question why Suddenly a
shaft of light blinding all that see Clearing the blackness of a world of what
could be A ray of sunshine now envelops the land Telling all being alive is
simply grand

Shaft of Light

In the deep dark night
There isn't a single light

The clouds start caving in
Like they had never been

The next thing was a miracle
It seemed so magical

A shaft of light
Struck through the thick clouds with all its might

It filled the dark night
With light so bright

The bitter darkness
Was finally overcome with brightness

Shaft of Light- For Contest

Black clouds ever surrounding me
But look, a bright ray of light I see

From where does this light appear
Has it come from far or from near

A million thoughts enter my mind
A sign from above, that I’m behind

Quick explanations though, never pass
Nor do a thousand, I have grown crass

About this shaft of light what can be told
I don’t know now, maybe when I am old

Desire to know, imbedded since our youth
Philosophy teaches there really is no truth

Erie sounds cry from the blackness of night
Dark clouds casting shadows over tonight's moonlight

Stumbling down an unfamiliar path I wind
Among obstacles challenging both body and mind

A wrong path taken, will I find home?
Or spend a night among nothingness alone

Then in the distance I see a single shaft of light
A candle in the window, everything's all right!

Shaft of Light

As the black clouds parted, a shaft of light suddenly shone down
It hit the grass where I was laying, a silver circle like a crown

There was no rainbow there, so it was no pot of silver or gold
The shaft of light was dazzling, but it made my heart feel cold

It seemed to be an icy shaft, but dazzling all the same
Shinning I was fearful, was this God’s finger pointing out my shame

Shaking with fear I watched, the shaft of light still glowing there
Then I saw it shining, on the head with silver hair

The head of hair belonging, to the man beside of me
The shaft of light shining, showing the love that I now see

The light is still glowing and it is just like a crown
On the head of the man beside me, the one that was also lying down.

The arrival of daybreak resembled the dusk
Dark clouds covered the sky from east to west

A rumble of thunder sliced through the air
Accentuating the start of a stormy affair

Then the rain came pouring down
Making a loud pitter patter sound......

The downpour stopped after a while
And we thought the sun would peek out and smile

A songbird's melody was a welcome delight
For a split second the outlook seemed bright

Then in the heavens a wonderful sight
Through the darkest of clouds, burst a shaft of light!

Shaft of Light

Where there is a gap in the dark gate
There is a shaft of light, so intemerate.

A ray that pulls all creatures to come along,
To experience the magic, inspiration so strong.

The sweet aroma in the air takes its course,
To liven things up,with the illuminating force.

The cold, drawn trees are filled with fervour ,
Dismayed,colourful butterflies now happily flutter.

Birds soar the sky around
While flowers enjoy the spotlight on the ground.

The golden light sparkles as were to say-
The clouded gate will open soon, light will make way.

The Bowman's Shaft

Solo archer gathers mist of amour clouds, dipping venturous arrow tips in a veiled concocted potion, drowning its mettle in a whimsical bliss of a dreamt liquefied mirage that defines the elixir,

Cupids errant arrow is liberated openly o'er the arc of a rainbow, exuberantly hunting its e'er sought Terra, whereto, it scarcely flutters passed feathered twain turtledoves,

Trifle off-track as projected, titillating a canine whose tail waggles unceasingly as its tongue laps remarkable welcoming faces,

Then piercingly redefines a right-angle course, that mids passionately, a well-managed bramble with shoots flowering in vivid red velvets,

Calculably sailing o'er gray-haired couple, whose one hand hugging canes and their free hands locking each other,

Promised target a fused-kissed envelope proffering treasured eloquence of, Missing You, in numerous expressions, introducing assorted confidences perceived by yearning intrepid bluish eyes whose heart grows e'er fonder.

Shaft of Light

It was a dark and lonely night
Suddenly there came a shaft of light
My heart was jumping out of my skin
While trying to keep all fears within
I became silent, my legs became stiff
I felt like I was pushed of a cliff
Then suddenly I saw a strange ship
I got so frightened that I bit my lip
It came and disappeared
Then again it reappeared
Is it aliens or just a dream?
Maybe some things aren’t what they seem

Pluto Got the Shaft

I have had this question
That's been bouncing in my head for quite some time
So while I'm at it I just thought
I might as well ask it in rhyme

Out of all the Disney characters
I feel compelled to ask
How come Pluto is the only one
That ended up getting the shaft

Let's start this off with Mickey
Who rules the Magic Kingdom with all of his might
Although with that high squeaky voice
I believe his underwear is notched a tad to tight

Then there's Daisy and Donald
Whom I can barely understand
It still though is quite clear to me
They speak in a language known to man

Poor ole Pluto I wonder
What goes through his mind
While his tongue is lolly gagging
With his tail keeping in time

And what about that Goofy
Who can barely dress himself
That dog carries on conversations
Even when there's no one else

So go ahead I tell you
Take a look at the whole batch
And you tell me that Pluto
Is not the one that got the shaft

While I'm thinking about it
There's the planet Pluto out on the edge
When did we decide to kick it off
Of our planetary ledge

But I digress because it's Disney
To whom I throw this question at
But believe you me it's NASA
Who will be at the center of my next rant

So out of all the questions in my life
That I have ever asked
There is no simple answer to why
Pluto got the shaft

Trump Giving Us the Shaft and More

Trump Giving Us the Shaft

Knock, knock, knock and guess who's here;
It must be foolish Trump with all of his fear;
Executive order;
Go to border;
Who had given us the shaft with his spear.

A declarant, generally speaking, is anyone who
composes and signs a statement or declaration
alleging that the information he has given therein
is true. This differs from an affiant, as in the case
of an affidavit the facts therein are sworn to before
a notary public or other official, and a declaration
is usually made by one person for the use of another.

Statisticians and Declarant Rights

Statisticians do have rights that are declarant
Along with analysis of variance that is inherent,
And creation,
Of correlation,
We already had assumed was quite apparent.
