Secondary Effects

Silence amplifies, increasing the void in my life.
Iambic pain, is the rhythm of my broken heart.
Day after day, I remember your infectious smile.
Eventually, I’ll forget the pain of losing you.

Eagerness still dwells in my soul, though I’m
Feeling impatient of living this miserable way.
Facing the world without your love,
Experiencing the pain of lovers past,
Cradled to the only memories of happiness,
Thinking of the times we shared, I’m plagued with the
Side effects of loving you.

Freedom flew in like a whistle blower
I saw freedom in numbers by the score

I am vigilant twenty four seven
Forgive as much as you're forgiven

Good stewards don't play the numbers game
Time paused and watched me play and lost again

I saw numbers everywhere I looked
Everything electronics had me hooked

I saw numbers high and low as I drove
Aged winnings had me paying for a stove

I fell and climbed high from the number's game
The devil's trick is to drive us insane

Numbers dared to scream from soft silent clouds
One day my prayer was heard. Problem was solved.

Secondary Day3

Day 3

The storm still having the upper hand is at large

Narrator
Inquisitive teacher noted this peculiar youngster is very hyper, yet again autism could play a major role factor in his abnormal behavior .

Rain drops on the window go in rhythm with the clock ticking and the School’s old floor board start a creaking .

Narrator
She acts deliberately and grabs her whistle for emergencies. She blows as loud as she could

Inquisitive teacher
” You stop right there youngster, I just wanna help you”

The sky lights up with a flash of lightening. It felt as if the earth shook.

Narrator
The kids start screaming. Great she thinks. Turns her attention back to the youngster. He falls to the ground and covers his ears as he could be hyperventilating? He never seems to amaze her. She thinks about grabbing him in a nurturing way but it's a teacher student policy not to .She gets on her knee at eye level and brings her voice tone down a notch. He's rocking back and forth with his breathing calming down .

Inquisitive teacher
”Calm down your breathing, calm, calm down .”
” I'm here, calm down ”

Youngster
He looks up at her and says ” I don't want to go home to that scary man! ”

Inquisitive teacher
”what scary man, Youngster?”

Narrator
He looks her in the eye and pulls in closer to her.

Youngster
” he hates me, yells at me and when Mama goes to sleep he likes to come in to my room at night and..

The lights go out and hail starts a coming down fiercely

When Money Is a Secondary Consideration

When money is a secondary consideration,
There is joy throughout the nation,
With many looking forward without trepidation.

When money is a secondary consideration,
There will be less people suffering from constipation,
With better products for any situation.

When money is a secondary consideration,
There will be increased job satisfaction,
With fewer unable to function.

When money becomes a secondary consideration,
There will be fewer cases involving heart palpitation,
With balancing the books a less formal occasion.

When money becomes a secondary situation,
There will be less waste generation,
With less temptation.

When money becomes a secondary consideration,
There will be more co-operation,
With a higher rate of production.

When money becomes a secondary consideration,
There will be less degradation,
With a lot more consideration.

Secondary Attention

You're nothing but wisps of a memory
It's beyond me to picture your face
It's futile to try and remember
When you never left me a trace

But we all have something inside us
It's called a secondary attention
Dark chambers of dreams long forgotten
It matures in hallucination

A collection of moments we misplaced
Occasions consigned to oblivion
Minutes and dates we distreasured
And sins we wish were forgiven

For within these brief recollections
Your face reappears clear as day
Til reality strikes like a python
And your features fade back to grey

I gave my all to thee
then fell to my knees
feeling robbed.

I was given Risperdal
that released me of rage
against my foolish ways
floating on cloud nine
that held my self-centered ways at bay.

I had to have thee
loving little old me
as if tulips held the power and smell of love.

I was not alone; and
clamored to your kindness
yes, the number of times you arrived
dressing me anew
driving me to banquets
my heart was in it for all the wrong reasons:
the loss of my eldest brother
the loss of my eldest sister
the shedding of addiction skin.

I gave my all to thee, and
I feared you left me dangling.
I threw lemon merengue pie in your face, and
learned a lot about love, and spiritual maturity.
It's true you drove from New York to big sky country
seeing for yourself I was fully wedded.

Secondary School Poetry Jumble

She may walk among
untrodden ways.
But beware,
your trips and slips,
face first slides into reality
Not always your own doing
Is ever present
Always lurking.

Tight rope walking over well
worn paths.
Danger lurks in the familiar.
He who made the lamb made
thee.
The falcon trusts the falconer
And so returns with retracted
claws.
Like we must return the
innocence
We stole from whom
but could not use.

Some do it with a lethal sword
The familiar prefer a kiss
All to exact a balance of power
Be careful for what you wish.

Had I delved deep into The Word
I would have heard,
It wasn't from beyond the cloud
My first winnings were as large as the devil's lure
I wrote the slips; swiped my Visa sure as true grit
Now I know for sure, God was not in it.

I've been playing numbers that
Played against the enemy that was me
Winnings coming out of no where held me in suspense
I was washed in sea of nonsense.

Then came the blues
It knocked me to my knees
It drenched me to tears
It caused my heart to fear, until
I felt the power and warmth of answered prayers.

Now, I am free!
I feel it in my being
I feel it in my bones and marrow
I feel it inside sinews of my soul,
Yes, I am free!!

My riches flowed from beyond the clouds
When I was a child, my grandmother fed us from her winnings
My winnings surpassed the look of blank slips, because
I am free as a bird facing new victory
Free, free, free!

Had much trouble seeing his willie
He tried to lose enough weight
Alas, it was not his fate
So he posed for Buddha on telly.
