The second coming of age,
is like the
softened beauty
of the color  s a g e;
rich in Indian summer warmth
graced with shades and shines
of too many noons and moons to count
savvy and savory… seasoned
with salted depth and perception.

No longer a blur of girlish green...

rather,
the continuum of time,
has weathered colors;
fine-tuning mindful hues -
balancing contrasts and intensities,
blending and smoothing
the not-so-gently honed edges
of life's tints and tones.
Continuance creates a mature perspective
worthy of viewing a canvas
painted from a palette of gold and rust.

Yes,
the burnished beauty
of the color s a g e,
like the second coming of age,
is easy to take.
The grass green pigments of colorful youth
are muted by mistakes.

For wisdom gained,
the price is paid
in the aged
and ripened patina
of the color
s a g e ~

my second coming of age.

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again
If you believe this in your heart, and live it, say Amen
But if you scoff and say to others, that you don't believe
There will come a time when nothing can relieve

The fear that engulfs you when Jesus says to you
"Depart from me, I never knew you"
There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth that day
When scoffers and unbelievers hear Him say

Separate the wicked from among the just
And do unto them what you must
Then you'll be cast into a lake of fire
With flames that soar higher and higher

But if you believe what the Scriptures say
Then it won't have to be that way
These words He'll say to you my son
"Enter into my Father's rest. Well done"

So hear these heart felt words I speak
Don't wait another day or week
You may not have that much time left
Before you meet the Angel of Death

So I beseech you while you still can
Take advantage of God's great plan
Then you will know beyond any doubt
That eternity in hell has been ruled out

Chartreuse moss insinuates itself
into cracked brick as leprous eucalyptus
line the path, fallen leaves contorted
into coral spines on weathered terra cotta.

Traveling between the trees I stumble
upon one sinewy stalk in a lithe tuft
heralding the second coming of a lily.

May's slate gray
muffles the air until I hear
the chameleon trill
of a mockingbird.

Premium Member When the Master Comes

The stars will twinkle so brightly,
When our loving Master comes,
So hold onto blissful faith tightly,
Through myriad tangerine suns!

Jade hills will ring with laughter,
In plum diamond sunshine glitter,
As the dim past ceases to matter,
And never again is anyone bitter.

Vivid flowers will bloom profusely,
When the Master arrives in glory,
And I sign my heart as yours truly,
In the hour of love's final victory!

SECOND COMING
Yours in the blood that set us free
we come in honor as it be
to bind in love straight from the lovers heart
the one called Christ the thief has torn apart,
and hoped that nevermore they'd see.

At mid of night when sings the song
about the right and of the wrong
we enter into dreams, and through your breast,
straight to your heart where life meets ev'ry test
and keeps you living faint and strong

and begs out for His loving hand
just as all time has ever planned
to Save each soul in Jesus for the day
His swift return will sweep us all away
where ev'ryone will understand.

Trumpets from heaven's gates herald the hour
The terrible Day of The Lord has come
Living souls tremble, fearing Christ's power.

Lightning flashes, parting clouds for God's Son
Every knee bows, above and below Him
The terrible Day of The Lord has come.

His Voice calls out, like thunder in the wind
The Savior has come, the world to redeem
Every knee bows, above and below Him.

Believers rejoice, for Christ they now see
Man of Sorrows, King of kings on His throne
The Savior has come, the world to redeem.

Fear strikes the hearts of the unsaved's lost souls
As judgment is passed, for death or for life
Man of Sorrows, King of kings on His Throne.

Justice separates the wrong from the right
Trumpets from heaven's gates herald the hour
As judgment is passed, for death or for life
Living souls tremble, fearing Christ's power.

About the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Lord

ABOUT THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST LORD

Expressive art showed her face.
The mother of Christ was shouting in silence.

Her words were that we are amongst God.
I read her lips.

She stated to give respect during Passover.
The vision was surreal.

This Easter Sunday, when I give my speech, my teachings
will be for a greater determination.

Virgin Mary departed knowledge and new insight on the
second coming of Jesus Christ Lord.

The world will be celebratory.
This knowledge is glorious.

Sympathy For the Devil- Based On William Butler Yeat's the Second Coming

Burning and burning in the widening grave.
My hero ends cannot hear the hero;
Foes fall and get pulled apart, this card is centered in my fold.

Named anarchist, as released upon the world.
This was before blood-dimmed for every vessel, and everywhere.
Before heaven's ceremony of innocence made my last breath drown;

The best lacked all conviction, while the worst still stood passionate, vigilante. While god's fire intensity came crashing to the ground.

Surely some salvation is in his hand. Surely the second coming is at hand. A second apology! Sharply these words are screamed even from my teeth.
A demon image, my spiritus mundis is cast.

Suddenly, my sight is bleak, and my brothers and the many others vanished somewhere in sands of the desert.

Not a cloud, nor sound, no bodies here in this place for me. No more man, no more woman. All set a blaze as I stand and gaze, blank and pitiless as the sun.

Only pain and isolation, angry and animosity. I feel this as their moving slowly down my legs and thighs.

Brother, love your real shadows. As loyal as they are, you've shown that loyalty doesn't matter. But still I'll love you in spite of them.

But their darkness steadily drops again. Even through twenty centuries of stony sleep, I hear your insects buzzing with sin. They are vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, and awaken I am, your rough beast, your fallen brother.

My hour come round at last.
Slouching I am towards the shores of Bethlehem to be once born again.

Second Coming

Second Coming

They have stretched their eyes beyond three hundred million miles,
expecting to find only scarecrows,
as if everything about me comes masked in rage.

Like the clearest breeze bypassing the smart filters of their noses,
I will intoxicate their beliefs,
breaking down the dry bones
of those who doubted my melanin.

I am soft as stone
and hard as harmony.
I will fine-tune the crescendo of their confusion
until they learn to catch love without clenched fists.

Sorry for sounding metallic;
I heard your parents pampered you with plastic palms.

Christ's Second Coming - Fourteener

Christ's Second Coming - A Fourteener

Jesus will come again cause we weren’t ready the first time!

The Second Coming Vs. the Spectacle

The second coming of Jesus coincided with the World Cup game,
But no one noticed him as he had no expensive merchandise bearing his name.

People were flocking en masse to the stadium, with it bright lights and
pyrotechnics galore,
And Jesus with his long hair and sandals, looked a little like a bum, So was quite
easy to ignore.

One brave man spoke, and I thought he had something to say,
But all he said to Jesus was 'Hey man, you're going the wrong way! '
So I asked Jesus, if anything it was he had to say,
He shrugged his shoulders and said 'It doesn't really matter, I'm an atheist
anyway.'
'All this Son of God !@#$, I don't really understand,
I'm just a dissident carpenter, an ordinary man.'

As for me, I'm a Pantheist, I see heaven in the trees.
You wont catch me kissing the cross down upon my knees.
So I'd best shut up 'fore I get myself in trouble,
With all of the people out there who live inside a bubble.

The Second Coming

Before morning, there was moaning
Smearing the innocence of the night,
With two bodies entwined,
To cause havoc
Absent conscience,
Absent worries,
No thoughts,
Just sounds,
Gasps,
And then snaps
Coming together in harmony
With shivering waists,
Stiffened necks
Determined legs,
No regards to shame.
The night just couldn’t wait.
For the coming of the morning
Is around the corner,
Too.

The Second Coming of God

The good book does call for the second coming
Beyond the gates he does show his face cunning
The drip of the water that beads on his head
Holy water from the veins of the dead
Dark is he with ears pronounced
To hear the fall of those announced
His beaded nose to smell the fear
As he lines his pockets with your soul so near
Your children will fall for his precious spell
As he whistled with glee steering boats to hell
His empire will rise like the 4th Reich fuels
As his moustache no longer is needed to rule
Instead he is kind or at least he seems
As the leader of evil will make your child scream
He will deceive as you enter his land of kind
As you sell your soul to relieve your mind
Today is the day the second coming comes true
Today you will kneel to a rodent so cruel
As you slip your dual ears to look like him
Say you holy rosaries and submit your kin
Put your white gloves on to cover your black
For Mickey Mouse is your God and the ruler of tact

A Sign of the Second Coming -- Yeats

Know the Beauty of tomorrow began in the past--
And it must last through today,
Suffering the indignities at hand.
And then you can see out of Spiritus Mundi
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
looking out with gaze blank and pitiless--

The Nightmare that slouches towards Bethlehem to be born...
And Terra says he is coming

A Sign of the Second Coming-- Yeats
6/9/'14

Yeats's poem the "Second Coming" was about WWI and how it was the war to end all wars, only now we know better. Really WWI signaled an end of fighting of one era to the beginning of another, and this horrified Yeats as the latter was so very bloody. Frightened him in a way that he wondered if man had not lost sense of himself, and I try to extend Yeat's vision of a spiritual nightmare into an environmental expression-- especially in the last line.
